Never Judge

Chapter 429 - 429

Cedric debated with himself for a while if he should invite Alexi to come over or not. Alexi had no idea that they had asked for a second opinion on the tapes from Natalia's lab. If a significant breach had been found then it was actually a matter of National importance, Natalia's lab was under the Sebastian family home. The president and his family still stayed there often, preferring the ancestral home over the one provided by the state.

"Invite my brother." Katerina said sternly over the phone. Cedric had already informed Natalia and the other boys and he was now on the phone with Katerina who was actually helping out with Ayanna's wedding preparations.

"I'm not sure what we will see." Cedric said in a grim tone. He was worried that they would see Jen stealing the serums as they had suspected.

"And if we don't see what you are expecting we will all apologize to my brother for thinking the worst of his fiance." Katerina said in a scolding tone.

"Fine, I'll invite your brother over." Cedric groaned. "Tell Eric to come as well. I know he is dying to find out too."

Cedric knew that even if he didn't tell Katerina that she would be dragging her boyfriend over the R Tower.

"Aren't you worried that he will cause a stir?" Katerina asked.

"He comes here often enough." Cedric said calmly. "People know we are friends and that he is also an endorser for the Reyes Group, so it shouldn't be suspicious. Just don't arrive together." Cedric reminded her.

"I won't." Katerina said in an annoyed tone. Cedric knew that Katerina had the tendency to sometimes jump into things without fully considering the consequences. It was such a polar opposite to how she acted as a lawyer.

"I'll see you guys in a bit then." Cedric said, dropping the call.

He looked at his phone for a while before finally letting out a sigh and calling Alexi.

"Hey Ced, what's up?" Alexi greeted in a chirpier than normal tone.

"You sound happy, anyway, do you think you can be at my office in an hour?" Cedric asked his friend.

"Sure, I'm just out right now. But I'll go straight there." Alexi told Cedric.

"Oh Alexi, come alone." Cedric said in a dark tone. He was worried that Alexi would drag Nurse Jen along, him bringing her would result in an extremely awkward incident.

"Okay, I wasn't planning on bringing anyone." Alexi said in an annoyed tone. "I'm not with Jen right now." He added.

"Oh, did you talk to her?" Cedric asked.

"By her do you mean Jen or Selina?" Alexi asked.

"Selina." Cedric clarified.

"I did." As Alexi confirmed that he had spoken to Selina, his to changed slightly. "We spoke a bit, but I had to go pick Jen up. I plan to have a longer conversation with her later on, but things are just really busy. I'll probably get to speak to her after Ray and Ayanna's ceremony."

"Well, that's not too long from now, just a week." Cedric said. Ray and Ayanna's wedding ceremony was set to be held next sunday. That was why Ayanna and the girls had been running around the city making sure everything was ready.

"By the way, when do they plan to announce the wedding and send out the invites?" Alexi asked.

"I think they'll do it the day before the wedding. The important people have been notified already anyway." Cedric said with a shrug.

"And how do you plan on pulling off the whole mysterious CEO vibe at the wedding?" Alexi asked.

"Same as always. I just can't be too showy with my wife, or my son." Cedric explained.

"And how will you explain Cedric's absence in the event?" Alexi seemed to be more curious about Cedric's plan for the wedding over whatever news he was being invited over to R Tower for.

"Cedric will be sick." He said simply.

"People will suspect." Alexi warned.

"It's alright." Cedric said with a sigh. "Soon, things will be out in the open soon."

"She's finally letting you?" Alexi asked. They all knew that Adrianna was the reason why Cedric hadn't revealed himself to the world yet. She wanted to be able to stand next to him in her own right and not as some trophy wife who had the world handed to her.

"It's more than that. I think we might be able to find the people behind MT Summit soon." Cedric said. Recently his cousin Ace had called telling him that they might have snapped a photo of the new CEO of Regis Inc. If they could find out who he sold MT Summit to, they could possibly find the people that had been going after Cedric and the ones responsible for Jam's murder.

"Tell me if you need anything." Alexi said in a sincere tone. Ever since he announced his engagement to Jen, Cedric had been careful about what he told Alexi. It wasn't that he didn't trust Alexi, he just wasn't sure about Jen.

"I will. I've got work. I'll see you in an hour." Cedric said as he dropped the call.

Before his friends could arrive Cedric had to go through another mountain of documents. It seemed like all he did was go to meetings and sign things. A big part of him missed his more hands on approach at Mor Co.

Cedric was so busy that he didn't notice the time. An hour had already passed and his friends began to arrive. When they saw that Cedric was still busy working they brought Emilio in and played with him.

"I'm done." Cedric said as he placed down his pen.

"Dave, get the documents and please ask Mae to bring Adolfo over." Cedric said over the intercom.

Soon enough Dave entered and took away the documents from Cedric's desk.

"Anywhere I can plug this in?" Adolfo asked as he entered Cedric's office.

"Plug it behind the TV." Cedric said pointing to one of the screens in his office.

When Adolfo finished setting up, Cedric quickly introduced him to everyone. Cedric wasn't surprised to see that Adolfo was not intimidated by his friends at all. As a matter of fact he seemed quite comfortable. Cedric assumed that it was because Adolfo was used to meeting people for important military and political families.

"I think after this, Alexi, Katerina, Natalia, you will need to significantly increase the security in the Sebastian compound." Alexi said as he pressed play.
