Never Judge

Chapter 354 - 354

"We are currently outside of the Von family's building waiting for a statement from them." A reporter said as Cedric increased the volume of the TV in his office. "Just days ago the Von family patriarch, David Von, announced that he will not consider his son as his heir any longer and that he will potentially pass on the company to one of his other children."

"Does Mr. David Von have any other children?" The anchor asked. The news was filled with the odd behavior of five rich families suddenly announcing that the company will not fall into the hands of the legitimate line, that it will instead go to other children, as far as the media was aware, the patriarchs of the five families didn't have any other children by their legal wives.

"No, he and his wife have only one son, so this announcement comes as a shock to all of us. We aren't the only media outlet clamoring for answers, there are others here as well, including gossip columnists who want to hear the truth. It's truly an interesting mix of people out here." The reporter said as the camera panned across the crowd of people waiting outside the building.

"Keep this as the top topic." Cedric instructed Ian as he continued to watch the news.

He was satisfied with how things were progressing. Cedric wanted to see the damage caused by this announcement himself. He had asked Ian to look into the location of his five bullies, he was sure that they would all be holed up in some bar tonight, angry at what was happening.

"They'll be at Hype tonight." Ian said with a laugh. It was ironic that they had chosen the very bar that was most accessible to Cedric.

"That's odd. There aren't any escorts there, they would never go to a place like that." Cedric said as he wondered about their odd behavior.

"Their usual bar has banned them, the others have photographers waiting for them. Hype boasts its confidentiality and since it's not a place they often go to, the media didn't think of placing paparazzi in the area." Ian told Cedric with a shrug.

"I want to witness it first hand." Cedric said with a grin. "Are they there already?"

"Aren't you afraid of them beating you up once they spot you?" Ian asked as he stared at Cedric as if he were a mad man.

"It's dark and I will have Leon with me. I'm hoping that they will be too drunk to recognize me." Cedric said with a grin.

"They are there, there are already some people in the bar so it should be easy for us to go in unnoticed." Ian said as he shook his head. His friend and boss was too crazy.

"Do I have any meetings left?" Cedric asked, making sure that he wouldn't be leaving any unfinished work.

"None. I intentionally moved them around today." Ian knew Cedric well, today would be the day that all of the dirt would finally come out and Cedric would definitely do something to push things further, Ian just didn't expect that Cedric wanted to witness their dismay in person.

"Let's take your car." Cedric said as he matched out of the office.

Hype bar was not far from R Tower, in fact the location was specifically selected by Ray due to it being of equal distance between all of their offices.

When Ian and Cedric arrived there was a short line to enter Hype, they complied instead of passing the back door as they usually did.

Inside Cedric spotted his bullies immediately, they were clearly drunk, each had a woman in their arms.

"Wow, even after all their scandals got loose they didn't change their ways." Ian said in surprise as he watched them harass a partygoer.

"Let's save the poor girl." Cedric suddenly said as he walked towards the bullies.

"Wait, Cedric I thought our goal was not to be seen. You're practically running into a fist!" Ian cried out as he chased after Cedric who suddenly grabbed the girl by the arm and pulled her away from the men harassing her.

"Hey!" Kevin Garcia shouted as she was pulled from his grasp. "She's mine."

"She's a human being, not your property." Cedric argued back.

"Oh look, it's Cedric Reyes." Ben Sanchez said as he spotted Cedric taking the woman away from Kevin. "Do you want a pounding like when we were in university? Cause I really really want to beat someone up right now." Ben threatened.

"Sir, please, it's not worth it." The girl Cedric had just saved begged. "Don't get beaten up for me. I am used to it."

"You guys are disgusting." Cedric told the bullies.

"You've got guts Cedric." Dennis Von said as he took a step closer to Cedric. "I bet it's because of those scandals about us popping up everywhere. Guess what, we are still richer and more powerful than you."

"Ha! Everyone knows your dads have disowned you." Ian said with a laugh. He couldn't help but join in, he had heard how they had treated their siblings and he had watched first hand how they had harassed the woman Cedric had saved. These men were worse than scum in Ian's eyes, it was no wonder that Cedric wanted to make them suffer.

"Awww, another poor assistant." Carlo Juan said as he pushed the woman on his lap off. By the looks of it, it seemed that they had drugged the women that had accompanied them.

"All of you belong in jail." Cedric suddenly said.

"And who will put us there? You?" Carlo said with a laugh.

"You really are full of yourselves." Ian said as he looked at the bullies.

"You guys are nothing. Even if our families disown us we are still better than two poor assistants." Dennis Von spat.

Cedric couldn't help but laugh. He was so tempted to reveal to them who he really was, but it wasn't the right time yet. He was willing to wait in order to make them suffer true embarrassment.

"Call Damien." Cedric ordered as he walked away with the poor girl.

Ian laughed at the bullies.

When they turned to walk away they suddenly heard a gun go off and a crashing sound soon followed. Behind them, Leon had just tackled Carlo Juan who was holding a gun, while Cedric's leg began to bleed.
