Never Judge

Chapter 333 - 333

"Camilla?" Cedric called out.

"Sorry, but why me? I don't have as much experience as the former president of Mor Co., why not put him back?" Camilla asked.

"The former President of Mor Co. was clearly incapable of leading." Cedric said with a shrug. "You know the company like the back of your hand. You weren't placed as my assistant to do menial jobs, you were placed there because my father saw potential in you."

"Congratulations Camilla!" Mae said as she hugged the older woman. "I mean VP Camilla." She said with a giggle.

"You'll do great." Adrianna said with a nod.

"Mae, Dave, do you know what documents you'll need to prepare for this?" Cedric asked.

The two assistants nodded, from the very beginning this was one of the things Cedric had made sure to prepare.

"Call the PR department, have them draft the announcement. I want it done in two hours. As for the documents, it should be executed quick enough." Cedric instructed.

The two quickly lept into action, leaving Cedric's office.

"I don't have that much to teach you." Cedric told Camilla. "You and Ian have been with me in every step along the way. You are as familiar with the operations and strategies as either me or Ian, but if you need help, just reach out."

"I'm still in shock." Camilla said as she pinched herself.

"As you know I can't exactly give any of the junior assistants to you, but I'll send Dave to help you out. He seems more serious and level headed than Mae. He can help you for at least three months." Cedric told Camilla.

Cedric proceeded to walk through Camilla several of the plans that he had set in place, as well as which projects he wanted to prioritize.

The first to one to return was Dave, he had already managed to process all the documents for the assignment of Camilla as the new VP of Mor Co.

"It's done?" Ian asked the younger man.

Dave nodded.

"You'll help Camilla for three months." Cedric told Dave. "Your first task will be to find an appropriate assistant for her. As a tech company I envision Mor Co. to be younger and more vibrant, but also people who will always think outside of the box." Cedric instructed.

"I'll inform HR, sir." Dave said respectfully.

"Thirty minutes." Cedric said as he looked at his watch.

"You pressure them too much." Adrianna scolded her husband. "What's with the strict timelines?" She asked her husband.

"In two hours people will leave their offices and check their phones, I want the first thing they see plastered all over social media to be the appointment of Camilla as the new VP of Mor Co., then at exactly 4pm, the press will begin to arrive at Constellations Hotel for the Reyes Group's Press Conference. The timing of all this is crucial." Cedric explained patiently to his wife.

With only five minutes to spare Mae walked back in with a smile.

"It's done sir." She proudly said.

Ian took out his phone and scrolled through social media, Camilla on the other hand turned on the TV to see what was on the news.

The words 'FLASH REPORT' suddenly appeared on the TV.

"We bring you breaking news from Mor Co." The news anchor paused as images of Mor Co. flashed across the screen, including a video of the Reyes Heir during an event. "We just received a statement from the company that Mr. Reyes, the Reyes Heir, has appointed Miss Camilla Montero as the new Vice President of Mor Co."

The screen flashed to someone on ground, outside the Mor Co. building, Cedric could see that there were already a lot of reporters waiting outside the lobby.

"I am currently at Mor Co.'s main office where many reporters are now waiting for Mor Co. to entertain our questions. We are hoping that someone inside will come out to talk to us." The reporter said as he walked across the facade of Mor Co. "The appointment of Miss Montero as the new VP comes as a surprise to most in the field since it is known that among this two assistant the Reyes Heir seems to be more dependent on Mr. Ian Lim."

"Has Mor Co. said anything about this controversial statement?" The anchor in the studio asked.

"No one has stepped out to say anything, we can only guess what this means. It could be as simple as she was more suited for the role, or as dramatic as a falling out between the two men. At this point we can only guess." The reporter told the anchor.

"Of course, everyone would rather see more drama especially from a family that's very low profile, but as we all know, with the Reyeses that's very unlikely." The reporter said.

"Well we hope to hear more from you soon." The anchor said as Cedric switched off the TV.

Ian laughed as he scrolled through the comments on social media.

"What's so funny?" Cedric asked.

"The theories are just too wild." Ian said.

Dave and Mae also took out their phones to check what the people of the internet were saying.

"Oh here's one, Did Mr. Ian and the Reyes Heir have a falling out? Maybe they were a couple and they fought." Dave said as he read through the comments.

"Oh my gosh this one is gold." Camilla said as she laughed. "Do you think that Mr. Ian and the Reyes Heir were actually a couple? And that the Reyes Heir isn't actually married? This is gold!"

Camilla said with a laugh as she showed everyone the comments.

"Really? What's up with people?" Ian asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Well Cedric did put you in charge of the expansion project so it's only natural for people to think that you would be placed at a higher position in the future." Camilla said with a shrug.

"Will I be needed at the press conference?" Cedric asked Ian.

"Yeah. I just came from a meeting with the PR team. They were hoping you could go. They've also prepared questions for the press to ask." Ian said as he handed Cedric a tablet.

"Mmmm." Cedric said as he reviewed the contents of the document.

"If there is anything you want avoided I'm sure we can ask the press." Ian told Cedric.

"It's not that. There are just some questions that I don't even know the answer to." Cedric said as he looked up from where he was seated. "Like this one, I don't exactly know why my dad and grandfather wanted me to take over, I guess I'll just wing it." Cedric laughed.

"Good luck with your press conference." Adrianna said as she kissed him gently on the cheek.

Cedric grabbed her by the wrist, holding her back. "Won't you stay?" He asked.

Adrianna smiled and shook her head. "I have a lot of work to do. Island's Inc. doesn't run as smoothly as the Reyes Group or Mor Co. without me around." She said with a laugh. "I'll see you at home." Adrianna said as she left.
