Never Judge

Chapter 160 - 160

Adrianna was taken by surprise by Uncle Matthew's question. She never thought that she would have to answer something like this again. With everything that was going on and everything that they had been through how could she lie to her uncle. He had to suffer because he took her side.

"Uncle, Cedric is the Reyes Heir. So I guess you could say, he's my husband." Adrianna said with a gentle smile.

"Impossible." Uncle Matthew was at a loss for words. How could someone that the whole world believed to be worthless actually be the heir to one of the largest business empires in their country.

"Mr. Hernandez, we wouldn't be here for just anyone." Ray said, pointing out the obvious.

"Uncle, I'll come back with Cedric. I guess he would be able to explain things the best." Adrianna said as she bid goodbye to her uncle and cousin.

At another part of the city, Cedric got on his usual bus taking a seat by the window, he was exhausted so he decided to take a nap on the bus, he was sure he would be safe since Leon was on the bus with him too.

When Cedric woke up he was surprised to see a familiar person next to him, it was one of the female employees that were part of the syndicate. From what Cedric could recall her name was Claire Francisco. Cedric was surprised since most employees of the Reyes Group had their own cars due to the high salary that the company provided and on top of that, Claire was part of the syndicate making her even richer than her colleagues.

"Relax, I won't do anything to you." Claire said when she noticed that Cedric had woken up.

"Don't you have a car? I've never seen you on the bus." Cedric told her.

"Mmm. It's nice to take the bus sometimes." Claire said as she took a look outside to see where they were. "Oh, this is my stop. See you at the office." Claire said as she stood up to get off.

Cedric was left on the bus scratching his head. He couldn't figure out what had happened. He was still three stops away so it was impossible that she was tail. Plus everyone the syndicate had assigned to tail him were never employees of the Reyes Group. They were often random strangers that just reported back to the syndicate.

As an extra precaution Cedric checked himself if a tracker had been placed or a bug, when he found that he was clean he calmed down a little bit. He then chose to take a cab to Adrianna's parent's old home then it was from there that his driver picked him up.

Leon rode at the front while Cedric sat at the back alone.

"Did you notice that woman in the bus doing anything odd?" Cedric asked Leon who had taken a seat across him.

"No sir. That's why I didn't do anything. She just sat there and stared at you." Leon explained.

"And you didn't find the staring a little odd?" Cedric asked.

"There was no immediate danger sir." Leon said in a straight tone.

Cedric sighed and shook his head. Leon was right, it didn't seem like a danger to him, but it was still creepy that she would get on a bus just to sit next to him and stare.

"Should we have her tailed, sir?" Leon asked.

"No need." Cedric said as he restested on the ride home. His day was already long and tiring as it was. Add to it Adrianna's family problems, he was exhausted.

When Cedric got to Mountain View Adrianna ran up to him and hugged him. This came as a surprise to Cedric, but it also worried him. A pregnant woman shouldn't be running.

"What happened?" Cedric asked as he hugged his wife back.

"Thank you. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something happened to them because of me." Adrianna told her husband. "Oh and I had to tell Uncle Matthew and Henry about who you truly are."

"It's fine I guess. You didn't tell Margaret?" Cedric wondered why Adrianna had only chosen to tell her uncle and her cousin.

"Margaret blames me." Adrianna said with a frown as she let go of her husband.

"Adrianna, it's isn't your fault." Cedric said as he tried to comfort his wife. "It's the Hernandez Family. They don't know what family should truly be."

"I hate them so much Cedric." Adrianna said with a sad look on her face.

"We'll deal with them. Don't worry." Cedric said as he kissed his wife on the forehead.

"Cedric, I promised Uncle Matthew an explanation of who you really are. I can't exactly explain it the way you would. Could we visit them tomorrow?" Adrianna asked her husband.

"I don't see why not. I'll cancel my meeting with Ian and Camilla." Cedric said as he pulled out his phone and sent them a message. "Haha. Nicole will be so happy about this." Cedric grinned at the thought of Nicole being excited to have her boyfriend for a whole day.

"You guys bully Nicole too much." Adrianna scolded her husband.

"Not me, talk to the girls." Cedric laughed.

The next day Cedric and Adrianna were driven to Raja Tower.

"How many units do you have here?" Yesterday Adrianna was not able to admire the luxurious building because she was so worried about her cousins and uncle. When Alexi told her that Cedric had lent one of his units she began to wonder how vast the Reyes fortune actually was.

"Three. The penthouse is mine. I plan to just put it up for rent since we already have Mountain View." Cedric told her.

When they got to the unit where the Hernandezes were staying Cedric did something that was completely different from Ray and Alexi, he rang the doorbell. The place was his but he chose to ring the doorbell instead of just entering.

It was Henry that got the door and when he saw who had arrived he smiled and invited them in. He then called his uncle and cousin before disappearing into the kitchen.

Uncle Matthew soon arrived and greeted the couple warmly.

"Cedric, thank you for everything." Adrianna's uncle said.

"It's nothing. You're Adrianna's family." Cedric said with a smile. "I understand you have questions?" Cedric asked as he relaxed on the couch.

Henry came out with drinks and snacks and joined them.

"How?" Was all Matthew Hernandez could say. This made Cedric laugh, it seemed the older man was suddenly tongue tied around him.

"Simple. I was born to Emilio Reyes and his wife Priscilla Clarin-Reyes." Cedric teased. Uncle Matthew and Henry were quite unsure on how to react so they laughed nervously.

"You don't need to try to please him uncle." Adrianna said as she elbowed her husband. Cedric simply laughed at his wife and pulled her closer to him.

"Every Reyes Heir must undergo poverty training. My dad did it, my grandfather did it, and many others in my family." Cedric then proceeded to explain how he had been sent to a distant province at fifteen and was eventually left to fend for himself.

"I'm sorry if I have ever mistreated you Cedric." Henry said as he got on his knees to apologize to Cedric.

Cedric shook his head and helped Henry get back up on his feet. "Honestly, you guys treated me the best in the Hernandez family. I understood that you felt Adrianna was marrying beneath her, so I really won't take that against you. None of you forced her to be Mark Chu's mistress, so for that I am thankful. That's why I saved you when you were driven off." Cedric explained to them.

The whole time Cedric and Adrianna were there Margaret refused to come out of her room, even when lunch arrived Henry had to go up and bring her lunch over to her. When she was done she simply placed her plate in the kitchen and walked out of the apartment.

"She hates me." Adrianna said with a sigh.

"She's just processing things, It will take time." Cedric told his wife as he caressed her hand.
