Never Judge

Chapter 137 - 137

Miguel remained silent for a while, he knew that since the Abads had spoken to his family and there was very little that he could do to stop this wedding from happening. It wasn't that he didn't want to marry Veronica, he just wanted Veronica to be the one to choose the when and if the marriage would actually happen.

"Uncle James." Cedric suddenly said. "I know this is a family matter, but may I suggest that since you are so determined for this union to happen that you let Miguel and Veronica marry when Miguel manages to convince Veronica. As Ram said, you don't even know where Veronica is." Cedric suggested.

"Veronica will probably never be convinced. That girl has a mind of her own. She even changed her name and had the guts be embarrassed to use the Abad name!" James Abad said.

"Give us three months." Miguel said. "I know you and my parents want this marriage to happen in a month, so extend it to three months." Miguel suggested.

"Fine. But you need to find Veronica first." James Abad told Miguel.

Ram laughed. "Dad, Miguel has known where Veronica is this whole time."

"What?" Victoria Abad said in surprise.

"Miguel knows Veronica better than Veronica knows herself, how could he not? He's been watching over her since we were kids." Ram said with a laugh.

"Well, where is she?" James asked.

"She is safe, that's all you need to know uncle. And if you must know, Veronica did not leave and change her name because she refused to be an Abad, she did that to prove that she was more than just her name. You have no idea what she had to go through just because she was an Abad." Miguel responded. As he stood up to leave.

The other boys followed suit including Ram. They all returned to Cedric's home instead of going to work.

When they arrived back at the Mountain View mansion they found Emilio Reyes having coffee with Veronica and Ayanna at the living room.

"Dad, didn't you go to work today?" Cedric asked Emilio before Ayanna or Veronica could react to the boys all being together. Everyone knew that if all of them were together the had clearly done something that would affect everyone.

"Nope. If I don't go to work neither Raphael nor James can find me. If they can't find me, they can't ask me if I knew where Veronica is. So as long as I'm not in R Tower, your secret is safe." Emilio said as he took as sip of his coffee.

"Makes sense." Cedric said with a shrug. "The boys and I will be in the back." Cedric said as they all went to the back patio.

Veronica had designed the space to be an outdoor bar with couches overlooking the pool. The space ran the whole length of the mansion and could host a small party of thirty people at a time.

"She really did a good job with your house." Miguel said as he looked around.

"Ah, the love sick puppy has returned." Eric chuckled as he teased his younger brother.

Miguel got a pillow and threw it at his brother. "You're one to talk! You were worse with your first love. You were dreaming about her every night!"

"His first love would throw him off a cliff if she found out." Alexi teased as he and Cedric brought some drinks over.

"Eric wouldn't survive a day with his first love." Ayanna said from behind.

"Oh, you guys have decided to join us?" Cedric asked.

"Yup. I need a drink." Veronica said as she took Miguel's drink and sat beside him. Miguel suddenly froze and didn't know what to do.

"Relax Miguel, Veronica heard everything." Ayanna teased, making Veronica blush.

"Did you just leave dad alone, inside?" Cedric asked.

"He said he had to do something in the office and left." Ayanna said.

"Did you speak to my parents?" Veronica asked Miguel.

"I did. The boys were all with me." Miguel said.

"And? Get straight to the point, Miguel." Veronica said crossing her arms.

"They wanted us to get married in a month. I negotiated three." Miguel said proudly.

"Three? Three?! Three! That's too soon, we're getting married even before Ayanna and Ray!" Veronica shouted at Miguel.

"So you won't reject?" Miguel asked as he held Veronica's hand.

"Do I have choice at all?" Veronica asked.

"I don't think so." Miguel said with a sigh. This was not how he had wanted things to turn out.

"Fine. But I'm not moving into your parent's house, nor am I going back to my parent's place." Veronica said, crossing her arms.

"You can stay at our place." Miguel suggested.

"Nope, I'm staying here till the wedding." Veronica declared.

"Wait a moment, this is my house." Cedric suddenly reacted.

"I said she could stay big bother." Ayanna said in a childish tone.

"Then let her stay at your place, you have a lot of houses." Cedric told Ayanna.

"They aren't as safe as here." Ayanna argued.

"No one is going to kidnap her." Cedric grumbled.

"I'll just ask my sister in law then." Ayanna said as she dialed Adrianna's number and placed the call on speaker.

"Hello, Ayanna?" Adrianna asked on the end of the line.

"Sister in law! My older brother is fighting me!" Ayanna complained.

"Don't listen to her Adrianna." Cedric called out.

"I told you he would say no Adri!" Ayanna continued to complain.

"Cedric, Veronica is staying at the guest house until her wedding." Adrianna said in a firm tone.

"Fine, but after that she has to live with Miguel!" Cedric said.

"Of course, husband and wife should live together." Adrianna said, agreeing to what Cedric had just said. "I'll see you tonight. I love you." Adrianna said as she dropped her call.

Alexi laughed at Cedric. "Man, you're one whipped husband."

"Someday Alexi, you too will meet your match!" Cedric teased his friend.
