Never Judge

Chapter 130 - 130

As usual Adrianna and the moms had lunch at Nouveau, Priscilla had the chef cook up nutritious food that was perfect for pregnant women.

"Have you decided when to tell Cedric?" Gracia asked her daughter.

"I was thinking of dropping by his office after this. I hope he isn't too busy." Adrianna said.

"Cedric is never too busy for you my dear, but to be safe, I'll give assistant Camilla a call. She should be able to move things around so that he could see you." Priscilla told her daughter in law.

"You should probably tell your Uncle Matthew that you need to work from home for a while. Or maybe take a leave completely. You don't need Island's Inc. anymore anyway." Gracia advised Adrianna.

"Mom, I'm not one to leave my work half done. I can work from home. Mia can send me my things and I can join via video call in meetings. Technology is more advanced now." Adrianna explained.

"Ah, the luxury of being young and having so much energy. I used to be like that when I first inherited the Clarin businesses, now I need Ayanna to help me out." Priscilla said with a smile.

After lunch the moms dropped Adrianna off at the basement of Mor Co. so that she could take Cedric's personal elevator up to his office.

When she arrived she was greeted by Camilla who informed her that Cedric was still in a meeting but it would be over soon.

"Can I get you anything Mrs. Reyes?" Camilla asked Adrianna.

"I'll have a glass of milk please." Adrianna said with a smile.

Camilla nodded and let Adrianna sit in Cedric's office. Adrianna walked across and noticed that Cedric's window looked directly at Island's Inc at the side of her office.

"Mr. Reyes always stands there ma'am. I think sometimes he thinks he's looking directly at you. I wish someday I'll find someone that loves me as much as he loves you." Camilla said as she brought Adrianna's milk.

"Just call me Adrianna, Camilla. It's not like we are strangers." Adrianna told Camilla. In truth Adrianna and Camilla had gone to the same highschool and the same university. Although they were not friends they had seen and spoken to each other in the past. It just so happened that the went around different circles.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Reyes, but Mr. Reyes gave strict instructions that we were to call you Mrs. Reyes as long as we were in the office or on a work trip." Camilla explained.

"Thank you Camilla." Adrianna said with a warm smile.

"I owe everything to the Reyes family Mrs. Reyes, it's my pleasure to be of service." Camilla said with a genuine smile as she left the office.

Adrianna waited for another ten minutes before Cedric returned to his office. When he saw Adrianna on the couch he quickly hugged her from behind and kissed her on the cheek.

"What a surprise? How was the doctor's visit? And did you ditch our moms?" Cedric asked as he sat next to his wife.

"You know what, I don't need the answer to that." Cedric said as he kissed her more passionately and his hands began to explore her body.

Adrianna responded by kissing back for a while, before she remembered what Nicole said.

"Wait Ced, we can't." Adrianna said as she pushed on his chest.

"If you're worried Camilla or Ian will come in I told them they can't. As long as you're in here they can't come in unless I call for them or it's an extreme emergency." Cedric explained.

"It's not that." Adrianna told him with a soft smile.

"Oh Mrs. Reyes I never thought you were so wild." Cedric said as he kissed her again.

"Cedric, I'm serious. We can't do this. There is something I need to tell you." Adrianna said.

"Okay, fine. What is it?" Cedric asked as he sat up and fixed his clothes.

Adrianna was about to speak when Cedric's phone began to ring.

"Sorry it's Ayanna. Give me one moment." Cedric said as he picked up the call.

"Brother!" Ayanna happily greeted.

"I was expecting you to be less excited with the engagement." Cedric teased his sister.

"Oh yeah, right. I'm sure mom already gave you an earful for that. But I called for your good news. Congratulations!" Ayanna said on the other line.

"What are you congratulating me for?" Cedric said with a laugh.

"Stop teasing me Ced. Nicole told me I'm finally gonna be an aunt!" Ayanna said with a laugh on the other end.

"What?" Cedric asked as he looked at Adrianna who was paying no attention to Cedric's conversation.

"Adrianna, is it true?" Cedric asked without dropping the call.

"Wait, what, Adrianna hasn't told you?" Ayanna said in a panic on the other end of the line.

"Is what true?" Adrianna asked Cedric.

"Are you? Are we having a baby?" Cedric nervously asked.

"Ayanna told you?" Adrianna asked in reply.

"Ayanna you're a bitch." Cedric said playfully as he dropped the call on his sister.

"How many months?" Cedric asked Adrianna as he pulled her into his embrace.

"Yes I'm pregnant. The doctor said three months." Adrianna told her husband as she hugged him back.

"Oh Adri. Wait should you even be here? You should be resting. Come on I'll take you home." Cedric said in a rush.

As they exited his office Cedric gave Camilla instructions to cancel all of his meetings for the rest of the day.

However, before they could leave Alexi arrived with disturbing news.
