Never Judge

Chapter 103 - 103

"Nicole, why don't you go with Nurse Jo and check on our patient." Miguel told his sister. He sent Nicole away because he was worried that her temper would get the better of her and that she would reveal to the Hernandez family who Cedric really was.

"Alright. Come on Jo. Let's do our job." Nicole said as she and Jo left the group.

When Nicole and Jo were out of earshot, Miguel smiled at the Hernandez family.

"Mr. Hernandez, let me make it clear to you and your family, that I took on your father's case at someone else's request. I do not know Mr. Chu or Ms. Hernandez. The person who asked me to do this is more powerful and more influential than you can ever imagine." Miguel grinned.

Adrianna was in awe. She never thought that the sweet and always smiling Miguel Hernandez could be so brutal and cold. She was also shocked by the things Miguel said, it was however true that Cedric was more powerful and more influential than any member of the Hernandez clan could imagine.

"My apologies Doctor Chan. Mark Chu is our only connection to you that's why I assumed that it was through him that you heard of our situation." Uncle Matthew explained.

"If not Mark then who?" Margaret said, speaking her mind.

"A guardian angel for your family." Miguel said as he turned and left.

When Miguel was far enough Cathy Hernandez turned red with anger.

"How dare you embarrass us like that! How dare you take credit for something you didn't do!" Cathy Hernandez scolded her niece.

"I thought it was Mark that spoke to Doctor Miguel." Asia said in an attempt to sound innocent.

"After all your embarrassments, you still choose to do this!" Cathy Hernandez continued to shout.

"Don't shout at my daughter!" Celine Hernandez said, speaking up in defense of her daughter.

"Aunties, this is a hospital. Maybe it would be best if we discussed this at home or in grandpa's room?" Adrianna suggested.

"Fine." Cathy said walking away.

"Good job." Cedric said as he placed his arm around Adrianna's waist and followed the rest of the family to the hospital room.

In another province, Ray's car stopped outside a middle class home in a poor neighborhood not far from the capital.

"That's odd." Ray said to himself. "Is the address correct?" Ray asked his driver.

"Yes sir. This is the address the men sent." his driver said as he double checked the map on his phone. There was no mistaking he got the right place.

"Very well." Ray said as he fixed his hair and got out of the car.

At the gate, Ray rang the doorbell.

A little girl came out and looked up at him.

"Who are you looking for?" The little girl asked.

"Hey little girl. I'm looking for an old friend. Does anyone named Hannah live in this house?" Ray asked the kid.

"I'll ask my mom." The little girl ran back in. After a few minutes a woman came out.

"Why are you looking for Hannah?" The woman asked.

"A relative is an old friend." Ray said as if it were nothing.

"My mother in law is not in the best of health. Sometimes she remembers people, sometimes she doesn't." The woman told Ray.

"I'd like to ask you about her. Do you mind?" Ray said with his most charming smile.

The woman blushed and let Ray into the house.

Back at Saints Hospital the Hernandez family finally got to the hospital room.

"You have done nothing but shame this family!" Cathy shouted at her niece, Asia.

"Won't you defend her?" Celine Hernandez asked Mark Chu.

"This isn't the first time I lost almost everything because of her." Mark said coldly. Since that day that Asia ran her mouth in front of the four princes and the Reyes heir Mark had begun to like her less and less. It didn't help that when they were in Kashmere she had managed to embarrass him in front of Raymund Laurence, his parents, and Adrianna and her husband.

"I assumed auntie." Asia said.

"Asia, you need to drop this habit. Not everything revolves around you." The normally quiet Adrianna suddenly said. Even Cedric was surprised with the sudden surge of confidence from his wife.

"It's not like you helped." Asia accused Adrianna. Adrianna just smiled and laughed.

"What's so funny?" A pissed off Asia asked.

"At least I'm not making it worse. What if Miguel Chan suddenly decided that you had offended him? He could have thrown all of us out of the hospital, including grandfather. And the only hospital that can give this quality of care is Saints Hospital, which his family owns." Adrianna explained.

Asia was so mad that she just walked out of the room. Celine Hernandez and Mark Chu had no choice but to chase after her.

"Since when did you start standing up to my spoiled little sister, Asia?" Henry Hernandez asked.

Adrianna just shrugged and sat down next to Cedric.

"Adrianna, Cedric, do you mind waiting here while the rest of us go out?" Uncle Matthew asked. The whole family had been stuck inside the hospital the whole day waiting outside of the operating room.

"Sure Uncle Matthew." Adrianna said.

With that the rest of the family left Cedric and Adrianna alone in the room.

Adrianna leaned on Cedric's shoulders and rested her eyes.

"Ced, I think I want to tell my parents." Adrianna told her husband.

"Do you think they will believe you?" Cedric said with a chuckle.

"I guess if we just say it the way you did a couple of times they would think it's a joke." Adrianna said with a smile.

"What about dinner, with my parents? It would be perfect before Ayanna leaves." Cedric suggested.

"That would be best. But they don't know that your parents are alive." Adrianna said.

"We can say that I lied and that they are actually alive and that I ran away before and that they want to meet your parents." Cedric said as he kissed the top of his wife's head.

"Well that's easier to believe than the truth." Adrianna sighed.
