The smell of blood made Luo Qianqian dizzy again, she leaned on the carriage and regulated her breaths, trying not to fall.
Feng Qing supported his body with his sword erect on the ground, slowly he regulated his breath and rose to his feet.
One of the mysterious men made a bow with hands folded in front, “Boss, now that you are fine, I need to head back.”
It turned out this man was Feng Qing’s subordinate, Feng Qing just sent the signal of calling for help — an arrow worked by a spring concealed in a sleeve — when he noticed the assassins.

The other mysterious man took off his mask, it was Lin Zimo.
Lin Zimo’s ‘s heart was still fluttering with fear after the other mysterious man had left, he dreaded to think what would become of Luo Qianqian and Feng Qing if he and the other man had not showed up in time.
“Let’s go to mine for some treatment.” Lin Zimo didn’t waste time on asking them questions, he carried Feng Qing and Luo Qianqian to the carriage and carted them to his shop.
The shop was still open, Guang Yao was dozing off by the table under the candle light.
“Yao!” Lin Zimo shouted.
Guang Yao raised his head in a daze and his eyes sparkled on seeing Luo Qianqian, “Sister!”
Guang Yao sprang to his feet and sprinted to Luo Qianqian, no trace of gloominess could be seen, Lin Zimo felt amazed how this little boy could change his face like that.
Guang Yao frowned when he saw the blood stains on Luo Qianqian’s clothes, “Are you hurt, sister? What happened? Who did this to you?”
Then he looked at the door cautiously, “Is this because of me? Have they found me?”
Luo Qianqian shook her head and comforted Guang Yao, “Of course not, I don’t know who did this to me and Feng Qing yet, but I’m sure this has nothing to do with you.”
Lin Zimo asked Guang Yao to fetch some water for Luo Qianqian, and he went to the drawer for some ointment.
Feng Qing was fine, he wasn’t injured or anything, he was just utterly worn out from the fight of attrition and needed some rest desperately.
Luo Qianqian, on the other hand, was injured on the wrist. An assassin kicked on her wrist in the fight and now she couldn’t feel anything on that wrist.
Lin Zimo hadn’t noticed the rashes on Luo Qianqian’a face until now, “Qianqian, are you having an allergy?” asked Lin Zimo with concern.
Luo Qianqian nodded, “Yes, but it’s not a major concern, I’ve taken some medicine, the Imperial Physician said they should be gone within a couple of days.”
“I will decoct some medicine for you, they will be gone in two days.” Lin Zimo promised.
Luo Qianqian smiled, “Thank you so much, Doctor Lin.”
Guang Yao now returned with a basin of water, Lin Zimo checked and cleaned up Luo Qianqian’s wound, “If the assassin had kicked you harder, you will suffer a fracture for sure.” Lin Zimo’s voice trembled when he thought about that possible outcome.
Hearing that, Luo Qianqian gasped as well, it was so close.
“Any clue who sent them?” Lin Zimo asked Feng Qing while he was applying the ointment on the wound.
“Not yet.” Feng Qing pounded on the table in frustration.
Those assassins were nothing like the ones they had dealt with before, they were goal-oriented, highly-trained and impossible to sound out by asking questions. Who had the ability and resource to deploy such a great team of assassins!
Fortunately Luo Qianqian had learned some martial arts moves from Murong Yun and did such an excellent job protecting herself, otherwise… …
