My Unconventional Delivery System!

The two went deeper inside the cave, Kyle realized the passage was getting larger and larger, normally a cave passage would become narrower as you go in deeper, but this cave is the exact opposite of that.

Kyle had a hunch, but to think that hunch was the truth, this cave isn't made naturally, it was artificially made by someone from the past, and this was not made by some primitive race, but an advanced one, because there is no way this kind of cave could be made with primitive tools.

He should have realized it when he first saw the unknown language around the cave, it wasn't something that a primitive race could have created, million years ago humans haven't learned how to properly communicate much less create a language such as this.

This cave is made by an advanced civilization and it's unlikely human, because of this his curiosity has been raised to its peak. He wanted to discover the mysteriousness of this place, it's been a while since he had been really curious about something.

At this very moment, he prioritizes learning about this place rather than getting the heirloom that the old Shinobu prepared for him. This place is more interesting than the weapon itself.

Shinobu and Kyle went even deeper, and they had to stop because in front of them there was another gate, beside the other one from before, unlike the gate from before, it was sealed by magic, and now this gate wasn't instead it was locked\\\\.

Aside from being locked, the most intriguing thing is the gate was made of some unknown material. Its color is similar to a block of ice, but the other side wasn't transparent so, they couldn't see what's behind it.

 the gate gives off a sci-fi feeling if he were to describe it, Shinobu spoke. "This...gate...gives me a sci-fi feeling."

"I know, it's the same for me too." 

"So, how do we go inside? It seemed locked though." She said, like Kyle, she was also curious about what's behind this sci-fi-looking gate.

"I'm fairly confident of destroying this gate, but I'm afraid of the collision of the force I'm about to make, it might make this entire cave collapse,...so we have no choice but to look for a way to unlock this gate…"

"You're right…" Shinobu agreed with him, though she really wanted to see him blast the door, however since it's going to put them in danger, she decided to forget it.

Then suddenly Kyle smirked and said. "Hey, you really thought that I'd look for the key, didn't you?"

"...? Are you not?" Shibonu replied with confusion, other than looking for the key, she couldn't think of anything else.

"Well, normally you need a key or similar to go inside a locked place, however, it doesn't apply to me, hold my hands." He said.

Shinobu blushed and replied. "R-right now? Wait, give me some time to prepare..!"

Kyle became speechless and said, "It's just holding hands, it's nothing big so why are you embarrassed? It's not like I'm asking you to strip."

Without hesitation, he grabbed her hand. He didn't want to wait any longer, because he is truly curious about this place. He had a feeling that behind this door something would surprise him.

"W-wait!" Shinobu had no choice but to go along with him, even if she struggled there was no way she could stop him, but personally, she didn't really mind being held by him.

Then she noticed that they were getting closer toward the door, and Kyle's body was about to hit the door, she exclaimed.

"S-stop! Hey!" However, despite shouting at him, he didn't listen and continued to walk toward the gate without stopping.

Shinobu was preparing to catch Kyle after his body hits the gate, however a moment later, her eyes widened because what she predicted didn't happen, instead passed through the gate like a ghost, then it was her turn, by instinct she closed her eyes preparing to be hurt, but it never happened, like Kyle she also passed through the gate.

After that both of them are finally at the other side of the gate, Shinobu was about to ask how he did it, but instantly it was forgotten by her, because of what she saw in front of her.

"Woah…! What the hell is this place really?!"

What she saw in front of her is an entire city that looks like something out of sci-fi, the building structure is nothing like she saw, and she thought that the cave outside was big, but that was nothing compared to the inside!

This place is really vast! Maybe calling it a city is an underestimation, it could even be called a country!

"To think there was a city under our shrine all this time!" Her shock right was even greater than when Kyle revealed his identity to her as their God.

"Indeed, this is really fascinating." Kyle's eyes were sparkling with curiosity, before moving forward, he decided to check if there is any sign of life in this sci-fi-like city, he used his divine sense to check the entire city.  

After checking, his eyes widened because he sensed that there was another living organism other than them, he originally thought that no one was here, but he guessed it wrong! There was someone!

"Shinobu! You stay here, I will be right back!" 

"Eh? O-okay?"

After that Kyle flies toward the place where he sensed a sign of life, it didn't take him more than a few seconds to arrive at his destination, he stared at the ruined, yet futuristic building, right in front of him, inside this building a person is living.

Kyle directly went inside the ruined building, inside the building there was a lot of things that were unknown to him, it was something new and unique to him, but he didn't spend much time looking at them, because it wasn't as important meeting the only life form in this abandoned city.

Finally, he arrived in the room where he sensed the lifeform, he wasn't really expecting this lifeform to be human, because it's obvious that it wasn't, however, what he saw inside was a bit unexpected.

He saw a huge incubator, and inside it was a humanoid creature with an appearance of a 2-3 years old human child, he would have thought of it as a human if it wasn't for the fact there is no way that it isn't, first of all, the thing of its forehead, it was a strange-looking tattoo, it looks like some kind of crown.

".....This I didn't expect….a child?" He wasn't sure what he should do about this.

Observing the child inside the incubator, the only thing that kept it alive, he wondered how many years did that child spend inside the incubator, thousand years?  No, it should be more.

Honestly didn't want anything to do with this child, but he felt it's wrong to just leave it here, but he decided whether to do something about this child or not, suddenly for the first time after his last delivery, his system spoke.

[ Host, the system strongly recommended to help this child. ]

"Oh? Why?" He asked.

[ Because host, it would be a wise choice, after all this child will become a guardian. ]

"Seriously?" Kyle was surprised, from what he heard from the system before, guardians are the multiverse protector, and compared to them he was like an ant.

[ Yes, so I suggest you help the child because she would be a great help to you in the future. ]

"Wait, the child inside is a she?"

[ Of course, isn't it obvious by her long hair? ]

"Along hair doesn't mean it's a girl." He said seriously.

[ You do have a point host. ]

"Anyway, since it's been decided how do I get her out? I can't just destroy the incubator right?"

[ Of course, you can host. ]

"Are you for real?" He didn't expect this, then as he was about to destroy the incubator.

[ But host I don't really recommend you destroy it. ]

"What is it then?" Kyle stops his action.

[ You better do this….]

Kyle did what the system instructed him to do, and finally, the incubator deactivated and the liquid inside it was slowly being drained, moments later the child inside the incubator slowly opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was Kyle.

She looked at him with curiosity, and then she opened her mouth, and the first thing she said was.

"Daddy?"

Kyle.exe has stopped working.
