My Little Sweet Wife

Chapter 616 - She Saw Herself In Her

Xian Guiying glanced at Wei Shanyuan. Without saying anything, she walked out of the bedroom and closed the door softly. Before closing the door, she turned and glanced at Qin Wenqian, who was fast asleep, and the tenderness in her eyes deepened.

"I'll send you off." Xian Guiying said while walking into the living room. She was wearing a thin coat and wanted to change her shoes.

Seeing that she avoided talking about Qin Gengxin, Wei Shanyuan didn't mention it again. He held her arm and stopped her. "No need, there's not even an induction light in this corridor. I will use my phone to walk downstairs. You don't have to send me off."

"Qianqian's character became increasingly lively, and she also played well with children in kindergarten. It's just that we live here, no one knows her and very few people come to visit her. She is very happy that you came today, and if you are not going to leave Wuyuan soon, then visit us again."

Seeing her unperturbed smile, Wei Shanyuan knew that she was doing it to keep her daughter in a good mood and not because she treated him kindly. Since he knows her personality, he won't say many things.

Especially when dealing with women like her.

Wei Shanyuan pursed his lips, changed his shoes, and glanced at Xian Guiying again before he opened the door. "I heard that your brother's wedding would take place in two months. If so, when will you return to H City?"

Xian Guiying pushed the hair on the side of her face behind her ear and smiled. "You're really well-informed. I haven't figured it out yet. Let's talk about it when I have a plan."

Wei Shanyuan nodded understandingly. He knew that she did not want to meet anyone at Xian Zihao's wedding; be it the Xian Family, Qin Gengxin, or anyone else. She may have her worries.

Two days later.

Wuyuan in July had more sunny days than the rain.

Xian Guiying sent Qin Wenqian to kindergarten. In the morning, she would first knit some knitwear and stuff, and only arrived at her own shop around noon. There's still time before the shop opened at 2:30 in the afternoon.

At this time, very few tourists were on the street, so the doors were left open. The items were covered with a layer of plastic clothes because she was sweeping the floor.

Halfway cleaning, a tall man walked past the front of the shop. Because of his height, Xian Guiying caught a glimpse of the figure out of the corner of her eye. She raised her head and watched him walk briskly with a camera in his hand.

Shortly afterward, a woman ran behind him. "Hubby, slow down! Didn't you say that you would accompany me when we came to this street? Slow down ~"

The woman gasped as she ran. She must have been chasing the man for a long time, but the man in front of her didn't seem to care at all as he kept walking forward.

"Who let you dawdle? It's not like I'm here to buy those random things. Women are really troublesome." The man complained coldly.

Xian Guiying, with a broom in her hand, turned to look at the door and saw that the petite woman stopped in her tracks, feeling wronged. She choked and sobbed and said, "We've been married for over two years, and I could even count my five fingers the day you come home. Before we got married, you said that you would always love me, but after we got married, you changed. Do you really think I didn't know that you and that woman from your unit were together every days? I didn't say it because I didn't want to worry our parents! This time, under your father's persuasion, you finally agreed to accompany me out to play and redeem the honeymoon you owe me."

The woman's choked voice mixed with a deep sense of patience and even a slight trembling. Although the man clearly heard her, he never once stopped walking.

He only felt that the woman behind him was not chasing him after he walked for a few steps and finally stopped. He turned around and stared at her indifferently. "Do you still want to continue walking around here? If you don't want to and if you want to argue with me, then let's go home and argue."

"Yuanjun! I'm your wife! Not your follower! We've known each other for years, and I've loved you for years, but this is what I got after marrying you? What did I do wrong? Old love can't really be compared to new love. If you really think I'm not as great as that woman, why don't you divorce me? Leave me at home for two years and every time you come back, it's just because of work. What are you taking me for? You will not touch me! How do I offend you? Let me marry you and then torture me like this?"

The woman's voice became even sadder, as if she finally couldn't take it anymore. She stood in the middle of the street like a broken doll. Although there were not many tourists around, this commotion still attracts the attention of some people.

The woman's eyes turned red. "Yuanjun, you once said that you love me, but do you really love me?"

"Are you done?"

"Whether this marriage will continue or not will depend on your answer! Tell me, do you still love me? If not, I will immediately divorce. I will stop and let you and that woman together. I won't bother you again and will never give you a chance to torture me again!"

The whispers around her continued and the man's gaze grew colder, while the impatience in his eyes grew stronger. He looked at the woman, his wife, as if she was a crazy woman, before throwing the camera in his hand into her arms before leaving.

The woman stared blankly at the man.

The people around her were all pointing and talking, some were mocking, some were sympathetic, and most of them were just watching for fun.

In the eyes of most strangers, the tragedy of others was just a lively sight for the audience, and the pain and suffering in someones' heart was something that only the person, itself, knows.

The woman stood in front of the crowd with her head lowered while holding a camera in her hand. Her tears dripped down, and she seemed to have lost the courage to keep chasing.

Twenty minutes later, the crowd gradually dispersed. She was still standing there, but the man did not return to look for her.

Xian Guiying had been standing by the door all the time. She looked at the petite figure standing in the middle of Square Street with an indifferent expression.

Looking at the petite figure, she saw herself in her.

Why did the woman persist in the marriage?

Was it because of love or reluctance or was it because there's always an unbreakable hope in her heart?

The woman stood silently for a moment. Finally, she moved her legs. Her body swayed a little and she looked like she was about to lose her footing.

"Hey, be careful!" Xian Guiying threw a broom in her hand and walked over quickly.
