My Girlfriend is an S-Class Adventurer

Once the S-Class saw the hand, she felt her horns flicker, and immediately after having her <Divine Radiance> ability forcibly deactivated, she activated her gauntlets and punched as hard as she could in the direction where she saw the hand.

However, her gauntlets hit absolutely nothing. Immediately she turned to see how Matthew was and watched a hand cover the man's mouth and pull him into the darkness.

Again, she deactivated the gauntlets and used her lighting ability. Thus, she saw feet turn a corner of the tunnel.

'Shit... if I let Matthew get caught, Luke will never forgive me.' She thought as she propelled herself forward.

In a single leap, the S-Class moved several feet and only stopped because there was a wall, but the figure also had a frightening speed to escape, because it quickly turned another corner.

Alexis propelled herself once more, and once more, and once more... With each jump she made drove the sewer structures shake. Accompanied by her light source, the half-dragon made her way through entire tunnels with just one movement and still couldn't reach the thing that captured Matthew.

Without letting her guard down for a second, she soon felt she was heading toward a source of air. Eventually, Alexis arrived where the abandoned sewer system ended. The place was a large chamber, with a lot of water on the floor and with drainage gates providing natural light to the place. There was a woman in the middle of this chamber, and below her right arm was Matthew, unconscious. 

"Give him back to me." The S-Class did not ask, she commanded.

The mysterious woman in front of the half-dragon had black, smooth skin like a mother-of-pearl vase. Her hair was braided with white lines, which matched the woman's white eyes.

After hearing the half-dragon's request, the woman opened her mouth slightly to say something and gave up halfway through. Then, she dropped Matthew on the floor that was a little wet and called Alexis into battle with her right arm.

Although she always holds back a lot when fighting any human, at this time, Alexis was too stressed for that. She cut the atmosphere in a second and hit the woman in the face with her gauntlet, throwing her against one of the walls. 

Immediately, the half-dragon looked at Matthew, who was now near her feet, and realized that he was still breathing and had not been injured. Now, he was just sleeping.

'Alright... now I'm going to get some information out of this strange woman.' Alexis concluded and looked in the direction the braided woman was thrown in.

The first punch from the S-Class was so strong that it shook the entire chamber. So, Alexis wouldn't doubt if the strange woman was dead. The dust and other detritus that had risen from the woman's collision against the wall quickly subsided, and when the half-dragon noted there was no one in the hole in the floor, she quickly began to search for her enemy with her eyes.

Just as the half-dragon turned her face, a kick hit her face and threw her against the ceiling, but an Class-S adventurer always has his cards up his sleeve. Just before she crashed into the ceiling and, with the force of the blow, was sent into the street, Alexis used the <Finder's Tails> ability.

This ability gave her three transparent and ghostly looking tails, which were so incredibly long that they looked more like tentacles. She used these to hold onto the walls and then used them to propel herself against her enemy.

With her hand on the woman's neck, Alexis still tried to dialogue, because she knew she was human. "Who are you!? And why do you want with Matthew too!?"

The mysterious woman didn't show any expression or grimace, which irritated Alexis even more, who threw the woman into the water. Before even touching the water, the enemy disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Somehow, she managed to be much faster than the S-Class and didn't seem to be making any effort to do so because her movements were minimal.

To make matters worse, the half-dragon's more firepower abilities were impossible due to the terrain, because a simple <Torden Scintillans> could demolish the entire neighborhood, not to mention the fact that Matthew was still there.

This situation was irritating the S-Class even more, who began to charge non-stop in the woman's direction, who gradually began to feel pressured. She couldn't dodge all of the half-dragon's blows, and with each hit, she seemed to feel less pain.

"I can do this for a whole week if I have to! Just say something!"

The chamber walls in less than five minutes were about to collapse. Even from that far away place, it was still possible to hear the crowd's euphoria in the Municipal Arena.

However, as soon as the half-dragon grabbed the collar of the black jacket the woman was wearing, a palm struck her right rib, and then another palm struck her left shoulder, pushing her away. Both blows were powerful, and from the way the woman took severe impacts, Alexis already knew that this was a formidable opponent.

As soon as she had enough space and time, the black woman slammed both her wrists twice and then spun her hands counterclockwise. The water she was treading on immediately moved away from her feet and off the ground. 

Within moments, all the water in the sewer gathered around the woman, who trapped herself in a bubble.

'Tsk... among the elemental gene abilities, <Vann> is the most annoying.' Alexis Dmitry mentally admitted.

The mysterious woman formed three water horns with her powerful rare-level ability and hurled them at the half-dragon, who, despite hating to get wet, charged towards the horns. The half-dragon's trunks shattered when the water hit them with a colossal rotational force, creating a parry effect that scattered the water particles.

Soon, Alexis came face to face with the woman again; only now did she have time to use the <Fist of Life>.

"Psst!" The enemy whispered next to the S-Class' ear, startling her, and before Alexis had time to strike back, the woman used a device in her hand to splash a gas in Nathalia's face.

The moment Alexis smelled the gas, she backed away with a backward leap. "Cof! Cof! What the fuck is that!? Cocof!"

The little blue gas she inhaled quickly spread through her respiratory system, and by the time the S-Class realized it, her vision was blurred, her mind clouded, and all the noise of the crowd in the stadium was closer, more distorted than it should have been.

In those seconds of agony, she saw her past as a maid in the Dmitry household and blurred memories of her life in the Cardinal Kingdom. Her instructor, the school, the university, Ayumi, Sarah, Luke...

Just before her mind blanked out, the half-dragon heard the mysterious woman declare: "You are strong.... very strong."
