Bai Ran arrived at the Royal International Hotel 20 minutes earlier.

With the waiter's guidance, they entered the agreed private room. Bai Ran randomly found a chair and sat down.

"May I ask if I should serve the dishes now?" The waiter smiled professionally.

"It's not time yet. Let's wait until everyone is here. You can leave first," Bai Ran replied.

After the waiter left, Bai Ran began to plan the scene later to see how she could balance things out.

She did not know who he was. How could he have taken a liking to her for no reason?

After some consideration, Bai Ran felt that it was about time. She looked at the time and saw that there were still ten minutes left. She leaned back in her chair in a daze.

After an unknown period of time, Bai Ran only realized that she had fallen asleep when the waiter woke her up.

"Miss, may I ask when the guests at this table will be coming over? We have to start servingg the dishes," the waiter asked politely.

"Huh? He's not here yet?" Bai Ran frowned and felt a little strange. She looked down at her phone and saw that it was already nine o'clock. "I wonder if something has delayed him…"

As they were talking, a person suddenly barged in.

Bai Ran turned around and saw that it was Chen Chen.

Chen Chen ran quickly to Bai Ran and held her arm with a sullen expression. "How could you agree to come to such a place?!"

Then, he looked around and saw that there was only Bai Ran and a waiter in the entire private room.

"Where are those bastards?! Why aren't they here?!" Chen Chen shouted loudly, his anger not diminished.

"What are you talking about?!" Bai Ran looked up. It seemed like he knew what she was here for today.

"You can leave first!" Chen Chen said to the waiter.

Looking at the waiter's departing back, Chen Chen sighed and said, "Did those bastards do anything to you? Why did they leave so quickly? And why are you still here? They actually didn't bring you out?"

"So you know that I'm here to see a client today?" Bai Ran asked.

"Of course! You still have the cheek to say it! And you really dare to come!" Chen Chen frowned deeply. "The great Mrs. Chen is actually here to accompany a client. Where do you think our Chen family's face is?!"

"Quit this job tomorrow! It's not like our Chen family can't support you!" Chen Chen said heroically as he pulled Bai Ran away!

As Bai Ran spoke, she flipped her bag down. Everything fell to the table. Chen Chen focused his gaze and saw that all kinds of defense tools were inside.

They basically won't do anything to me when we meet for the first time. I'm just here to investigate the situation! These tools are just to be prepared just in case," Bai Ran explained.
