Chapter 383 - Your Business?

Chapter 383: Your Business?

She had been hiding all of these secrets for dozens of years, and she suddenly mentioned those things because she got quite angry today. However, none of it should be revealed to the public!

Mrs. Gu paused. She got so nervous that she got up just to see who was eavesdropping. She needed to make sure that whoever was listening behind the door would not say a thing.

She took some steps forward, when a sound knocking arose from outside. “Madame, it is me, Lianxiang!”

Mrs. Gu let out a sigh of relief, collapsed on her seat and said, “Come in, please.”

Lianxiang stepped in.

Gu Ruxue was very annoyed seeing that Lianxiang frightened Mrs. Gu. She glared at Lianxiang and said, “You are mom’s maid, so you have to be steady rather than frighten her!”

Lianxiang was confused. She hurried back after running the errand, knocked at the door and did nothing strange! However, that was what the Second Lady was like – she always cursed at people when she was in a bad mood. Lianxiang realized that she was not in a good mood, so she vented the anger at her. So she let Gu Ruxue finish her curses.

Lianxiang took out the stuff. “Madame, that is what you need. I bought a lot of it this time.”

Mrs. Gu took it in satisfaction. She nodded. “You can leave now.”

Lianxiang left and shut the door.

Gu Ruxue looked at the bag of powder. “Will that work, mom?”

“Of course. By that time, the bitch will lose her innonance with no one daring to marry her!” Mrs. Gu snapped.

Then she looked at Gu Ruxue. She patted her. “Alright, look at your swelling eyes, go and have some rest now, I will deal with the rest. Lord Ling will come to see you tomorrow, so you have to get dressed and tell him about being the Princess Consort!”

Okay! Gu Ruxue answered and left. She was in a cheerful mood. She could already predict what Gu Chaoyan was going to be like, so she was not at all sad.

The following day…

Gu Chaoyan received a letter from the Dean who told her to stay at home for a few more days. He told her something about Li Yuanxiang and that she would only need to go to Saint College when she was needed.

In the meanwhile, Sword One brought some wonderful news too.

Fu Bao had found a mansion for her, so she could take a look at the mansion.

“Miss you have so much breakfast.” Sword One sighed.

“Yes.” Gu Chaoyan answered briefly, without thinking much. She did not care much about food, and she was in the Gu Mansion where she was not at all adored, so she did not expect that the kitchen people would treat her any better.

She had become slightly more cold-hearted than ordinary people.

After breakfast, Gu Chaoyan decided to leave the mansion with Sword One.

The Qiong Pavilion was very far away and they needed to cover a small path before reaching the gate.

They had just come to the front yard when Gu Ruxue arrived. Gu Chaoyan ignored her and continued to walk outwards.

Gu Ruxue saw that, and got annoyed, hastened up and hurried towards Gu Chaoyan. She snapped proudly after a glance at her. “Where are you going?!”

“Why is it your business?” Gu Chaoyan answered coldly.
