Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love

Chapter 443 - Filial husband

Chapter 443: Filial husband

“You don’t even wear slippers and you’re even chewing on a hard and dry bun. How hungry are you?” he said as he walked towards her, lifted her up and put her on a chair.

“I’ll let you try not eating for two days and two nights next time,” Ye Qiao replied as she rolled her eyes. When she woke up, she took awhile before she realized that it had been two days and two nights since the night of Qi Xi.

He wanted to snatch the steamed bun from her hands. Ye Qiao was so hungry that she refused to give it to him. She took a big bite and Lu Beixiao could not help but laugh at her, revealing his white teeth.

“Be good and wait for me. I’ll make you chicken noodle soup,” Lu Beixiao said as he put on an apron. He went to wash his hands and cook for his wife.

“What a twenty four year old dutiful husband,” Ye Qiao couldn’t help but praise him as he watched the man put on the apron and wash his hands to make soup for her.

The corners of Lu Beixiao’s mouth curled up. He gave her a doting glance before walking to the refrigerator, took out the chicken and brought it to the stove to cook.

Cooking for Ye Qiao was a very enjoyable thing for him.

As soon as Mrs. Du entered the courtyard house, she saw her precious son wearing an apron and holding a tray. On the tray was a big bowl of steaming, fragrant noodles.

“My goodness, did I come to the wrong house?” Mrs. Du patted her heart and said.

Ye Qiao heard the voice and hurried to the door. Seeing Mrs. Du, she went out and greeted her warmly, “Auntie! You’re here. You came to the right place! Welcome!”

Lu Beixiao didn’t say a word. He ignored his mother and thought to himself why would she third wheel at a time like this.

This was the first time Mrs. Du came to their small home.

The noodles were steaming hot and the smell of chicken soup was strong. The poached egg, a drumstick, chicken wings and two green rapeseed looked very appetizing.

“This… is really made by my son?” Mrs. Du looked at Lu Beixiao and asked in disbelief.

“Auntie! It’s really made by brother Xiao! Brother Xiao, is there any more in the pot? Give this portion to Auntie. I’ll go and get more,” Ye Qiao said politely, thinking that her mother-in-law had probably never eaten a mouthful of rice made by Lu Beixiao in her life.

Lu Beixiao hurriedly pushed the bowl to the side and stopped Ye Qiao, “There’s no more in the pot. Hurry up and eat! The noodles won’t taste good after a long time! Be careful, it’s hot.”

“Hot!”

Mrs Du hadn’t even said that she wanted to eat but the rascal acted as if he was afraid that she would snatch it away from his wife.

Mrs.Du gritted her teeth. However, she swallowed her anger, smiled and replied, “No one can cook noodles better than Lu Beixiao. However, you won’t have the chance to taste it if i ate it. He only made it for you. Qiao Qiao, hurry up and eat. Auntie won’t eat it.”

Even Lu Beixiao was surprised. Mrs. Du, who had always been headstrong, could even joke around in front of her daughter-in-law. It was obvious how kind she was to Ye Qiao.

“Mmm… it’s delicious! Brother Xiao’s cooking is really good. The noodles are really flavorful!” Ye Qiao praised him from the bottom of her heart.

“Be good and eat more. There’s more in the pot,” Lu Beixiao said as he looked at her eating.

! ! !

Little rascal, he just said that there was no more in the pot.

Even Ye Qiao looked up awkwardly and saw that Mrs. Du looked like she wanted to strangle her son.

Pfft… Lu Beixiao was a good husband but he was really an unfilial son.
