Fu Huai’an grasped Lin Nuan’s hand and then moved the key back.

This movement reminded Lin Nuan of a steamy scene!

Her face began to burn…

“Despicable!” Lin Nuan turned around and glared at him.

Fu Huai’an smiled and lowered his voice. “What despicable thing did I say?”

“You… you…” Lin Nuan was at a loss for words. Fu Huai’an didn’t say anything, yet his movements…

Her face was red like a tomato. She bit her lip and stared at him with an angry and embarrassed expression.

If she said his gesture was despicable, Fu Huai’an would use the opportunity to say she was thinking impure thoughts.

Lin Nuan didn’t want to give him the opportunity!

She simply glared at him without saying anything, turned around, and tried to open the door.

Fu Huai’an leaned his strong body against her back and put his hand on the door handle. He whispered in her ear, “Next time, I hope Mrs. Fu can play along. I’ll send it inside, and you…”

“Stop it!” Lin Nuan covered her ears and tried to glare viciously at him again.

Fu Huai’an was pleased by her cute and shy reaction. He smiled from his cheeks.

The grandma from the place next door came out to water her flowers. She heard Lin Nuan’s loud voice and looked in their direction, squinting. She put on her glasses to get a clearer look.

Lin Nuan panicked and opened the door, dragging Fu Huai’an inside.

She heard Fu Huai’an close the door behind them, and her back stiffened up as she was afraid he would start talking dirty to her again.

She changed her shoes and said to Auntie Li in the kitchen, “Auntie Li, we got the soy sauce…”

Lin Nuan called for Auntie Li intentionally. She felt Fu Huai’an would be more restrained if someone was there.

“Alright, thank you, Mrs. Fu…” She answered from the kitchen. She was secretly happy since she felt that she gave the two of them a chance to be romantic.

Fu Huai’an held the soy sauce in his hands. Lin Nuan said, “Auntie Li, the soy sauce is on the shoe cabinet. I’ll be upstairs changing.”

Auntie Li suddenly recalled how they were kissing at the door just now. She wiped her hands on her apron, pondered for a moment, and said, “Alright, I’ll take around an hour to prepare lunch here. There’s no rush, Mrs. Fu!”

Young people were impulsive. When Auntie Li saw how intense they were kissing, she thought that Lin Nuan meant that they were going to get physical when she said she was going to change upstairs.

As the housekeeper, she didn’t want to interrupt their time together. Hence, she intentionally said she’d take longer… so they would have more time for themselves.

After Auntie Li said she’d take an hour, she took her spatula and wondered whether one hour was even enough for two young and robust people?

Lin Nuan heard that lunch would be ready in an hour and hesitated for a second before grabbing some clean clothes. She walked into the bathroom.

Fu Huai’an opened the door and followed her in.

Remembering that his shoulder and pants got wet when he was picking her up, she asked him, “Do you want to take a shower so you won’t get sick? I can go shower in the other room…”

He examined Lin Nuan with his deep gaze as he took off his wet clothes. Lin Nuan could see his well-built body.

Fu Huai’an had such a fine figure that Lin Nuan would still blush even after seeing it multiple times.

“You can go first, I’ll take a shower in the guest room…” Fu Huai’an looked at her and grinned. He walked over and said, “Or… we can take a shower together!”

Lin Nuan stared at him without moving.

Fu Huai’an hugged Lin Nuan without his shirt on and said in her ear, “I can play the key and lock game with you now!”

Lin Nuan recalled the scene at the door just now — when she tried to open the door with the key and when Fu Huai’an slid it back in, together with his dirty talk — and felt burning hot.

“Cut it out!” Lin Nuan’s face flushed again as she pushed against his chest and locked the door.

Fu Huai’an stood by the door and smiled meaningfully.

He was heartened by his wife’s shy reaction.

The warm water washed Lin Nuan’s fair skin, warming up her cold legs again. She instantly felt more comfortable.

Lin Nuan blow-dried her hair and walked out of the shower. By then, Fu Huai’an had already changed and gone downstairs.

She tied her hair into a loose ponytail and wore a dark red sweater and black pants. She looked in the mirror and felt it was a suitable outfit, then went downstairs.

After lunch, Fu Huai’an took his bags downstairs and asked Auntie Li to take care of Tuan Tuan. Lin Nuan was still concerned, and she told Auntie Li that she would video call Tuan Tuan and be there whenever he decided to contact her.

Auntie Li smiled when she saw how uneasy Lin Nuan was. “Don’t you worry. I always looked after Tuan Tuan. There won’t be a problem.”

Lin Nuan smiled awkwardly. She was worrying too much. Auntie Li had looked after Tuan Tuan even longer than she had.

Auntie Li could tell Lin Nuan was feeling awkward and said, “Mothers are all like this. Whenever I had to leave my daughter behind for my mother-in-law to look after, I’d nag her on and on to do a proper job!”

Lin Nuan nodded and tucked her hair behind her ear. “We’re going to have to trouble you for the next few days…”

“It’s not a problem! Tuan Tuan is a great kid. He’s so easy to take care of!” Auntie Li smiled once she brought him up—she really saw him as her own grandchild.

Fu Huai’an saw Lin Nuan walk around the car and open the door, yet she was still hesitant and talking with Auntie Li. He couldn’t help but smile.

“You don’t need to worry about Tuan Tuan. Auntie Li can send him to the Fu mansion if she can’t take care of him!” Fu Huai’an said.

Lin Nuan didn’t say anything, as Fu Huai’an had read her mind. She said goodbye to Auntie Li and got in the car.

Fu Huai’an let Lin Nuan buckle her seatbelt in the car before saying, “Don’t worry, it will be very convenient for Tuan Tuan to video call you if he misses you now that technology is so advanced.”

Fu Huai’an started the car and put one hand on the steering wheel as he waved to signal Auntie Li to go back inside.

It began to rain once the car drove onto the road.

Lin Nuan looked outside the car window. Suddenly, her mood felt as dark as the weather. She missed Tuan Tuan.

Fu Huai’an looked at Lin Nuan and turned left. He reached into the storage compartment to get out the two boxes of milk Auntie Li let him bring and passed them to Lin Nuan.
