Wang Yu exerted all his strength to try and escape once more. However, his legs wouldn’t listen to him as all he could do was to watch the mountain goblin’s hammer smash onto him.

“F*ck this monster!” Wang Yu cursed as his fist weapons changed into his long pole to block the mountain goblin’s hammer.

Wang Yu was sent flying by this hammer. At the same time, the system notification appeared: Your weapon got wrecked. Damage: 20%.”

“F*ck me!”

Wang Yu instantly became anxious. The Martial Artist’s Regret was Wang Yu’s favourite. In one round, his weapon suffered a 20% damage. How was he supposed to continue fighting this monster?

Looking at how the mountain goblin was charging at him once more, Wang Yu no longer dared to go head to head with it. Instead, Wang Yu rolled to one side before hearing Lone Vagrant Guest’s voice again.

“Brother Bull, the vine is about to break… Don’t let that mountain goblin wreck that vine anymore.”

When Wang Yu heard this, he lifted his head and saw the other mountain goblin wrecking the thick vine with all its might. The thick vine was on the verge of disappearing.

Wang Yu had no time to waste as he executed [Crushing Blow] to rush over and instantly executed [Thunder God Stomp] too.

The mountain goblin, which was smashing the vine, was suffered the full blow of Wang Yu’s stomp as it cried out loudly before falling off the cliff.

“Bang…”

The massive body of the mountain goblin was sent into free-fall down the cliff. The pitiful mountain goblin fell to its death instantly.

“Brother Bull is indeed vicious…” Lone Vagrant Guest commented.

Wang Yu didn’t bother about this small kid because the other mountain goblin was back running towards him. Wang Yu concentrated and stared at the mountain goblin’s weapon.

As the mountain goblin charged towards him and raised its hammer, Wang Yu smiled and flashed towards the back of the goblin. With a vicious extension of both arms, he pushed this mountain goblin down the cliff too.

Yes… Wang Yu simply pushed it down the cliff. This mountain goblin’s attack was not very strong but its damage on equipment was simply too outrageous. Wang Yu was fearful of fighting this monster head on after the first round so he simply wanted to end this battle the quickest possible way.

After settling the mountain goblin, Wang Yu threw out a rope from his bag. He shouted at Lone Vagrant Guest, “Hurry up and hold onto this rope, I’ll pull you up.”

The thick vine was in such a bad state that nobody knew how long it could hang on. Moreover, given the rate Lone Vagrant Guest was climbing it previously, the mountain goblins might have spawned a few times by the time he reached the top.

Lone Vagrant Guest didn’t waste any time saying unnecessary words as he let go of the vine to grab the rope. Within a few pulls, Wang Yu managed to pull Lone Vagrant Guest up successfully.

At the periphery of the cliff, there seemed to be only these two monsters. After Lone Vagrant Guest reached the top, he pointed at a direction and shouted, “The dagger is right there.”

“What?” Wang Yu opened up his map and looked at the coordinates. Indeed, the coordinates of the quest were right at the periphery of the cliff.

Afterwards, Wang Yu followed the direction of where Lone Vagrant Guest was pointing towards and took a few steps. Soon after, he noticed a faint looking dark purple dagger inserted there firmly.

“Your eyesight is pretty good.” A surprised Wang Yu complimented.

A Thief would usually be good at night vision only. However, it was very bright on the top of the mountain. Through the years, Wang Yu’s vision grew to be extremely focused and hence, he was able to spot many more details as compared to other players. Even so, Lone Vagrant Guest was actually able to spot the dagger way before Wang Yu. Wang Yu was truly amazed at this point.

“Hmm..” Lone Vagrant Guest’s expression changed as he hurried to answer, “Coincidental…”

“Oh…” Wang Yu knew that a few unique tools which could improve a gamer’s field of vision. Looking at Lone Vagrant Guest’s expression, Wang Yu could guess that he didn’t want to talk more about it. Therefore, Wang Yu didn’t question further as he prompted, “Hurry up and retrieve that dagger. I still want to head back to practice.”

“Alright!” Lone Vagrant Guest responded as he extended his hand into the black fog. Just as Lone Vagrant Guest’s hand touched the black fog, the hexagram on his hand shone and the black fog gradually disappeared.

After the black fog dispersed, Wang Yu noticed that the dagger was inserted into a peculiar looking magic array. There was a slight crack where the dagger was at. Black vapour was actually being emitted from the crack and was flowing towards the front of the Dusk Peak.

“Lone Vagrant Guest, are you sure nothing will happen if you pull this dagger out…” Wang Yu asked worriedly.

Hearing Wang Yu’s words, Lone Vagrant Guest looked suspiciously at Wang Yu, “Big Brother, this is merely a game. So what if something happens? We wouldn’t be directly affected.”

According to the train of thoughts of a normal gamer, all they needed to do was to follow and complete the system’s quest. Who would bother about what was going to happen next? Wang Yu was, after all, a newbie in the gaming world so it wasn’t surprising that he would ask such a question. However, Lone Vagrant Guest didn’t know that which was why he was judging Wang Yu.

“F*ck…” Wang Yu was slightly awkward as he replied, “Okay then, please continue.”

Lone Vagrant Guest lowered his head and pulled the dagger out of the crack. After the dagger was pulled out, the magic array below the dagger fissured and eventually, a black box appeared.

Looking at the black box, Lone Vagrant Guest kept the dagger in his bag before extending his hand towards the box.

At this moment, Wang Yu suddenly shouted, “Lie down now! There is someone behind you!”

Just as Wang Yu’s voice was heard, Lone Vagrant Guest hurried to the ground and concurrently, a tall and skinny masked assassin appeared behind Lone Vagrant Guest.

The assassin raised his dagger and executed [Backstab]. Lone Vagrant Guest laid down on the ground at the very last minute to avoid the attack. After he realised he missed his attack, the assassin turned and reached out for the black box.

System Notification: Your current squad has met the attack of “One Page Book”. You have 180 seconds of legitimate defense.

“PK notification? He is a gamer!” Wang Yu shouted and took a sudden big stride towards One Page Book before raising his fists towards that One Page Book fella.

One Page Book seemed like he had eyes at the back of his head. He raised his dagger to block Wang Yu’s attack in mid-air.

This strike of the dagger was extremely fine and delicate because it accurately blocked off Wang Yu’s fist.

“Aye?” Wang Yu was startled as he flipped his hand to throw One Page Book’s wrist. His left hand formed the shape of crane’s beak as he attempted to hit One Page Book’s back. One Page Book’s hand that was caught by Wang Yu also formed the shape of a crane’s beak as he attempted to retreat. As he managed to get out of Wang Yu’s grip, he rolled out of the way and was forced back a few metres.

Wang Yu made use of this opportunity to swing his left hand to snatch the black box from One Page Book’s hand.

One Page Book’s face was masked so nobody could tell his expression. However, Wang Yu could tell from his eyes that he was filled with shock.

“How did you learn the [Left Hand Crane Beak]?”

A clear voice could be heard from the direction of the masked assassin.

Wang Yu and Lone Vagrant Guest were both taken aback as they both looked in the direction of the assassin’s chest. Following which, both of them exchanged glances and said unanimously, “She is a girl? This is not possible…”

“Hmph!” One Page Book sneered coldly as she executed [Haste] and charged towards Wang Yu again.

Wang Yu took a few steps back and shifted to one side. His left hand grabbed onto One Page Book’s arm while his right hand formed a tiger claw to strike One Page Book’s lower chin. She was instantly thrown off the cliff.
