"Hey, stop being petty! You know Lilian didn't mean it…,"
"Lilian, what did you give or feed my woman with to totally get her on your side?" Jackson said still pretending to be upset.
"I didn't feed her anything I shouldn't, boss. Actually, I came to inform her that dinner is ready," Lilian said still not lifting her head to stare at them.
"You can leave now Lilian. We will join you in the dining room soon," Jasmine said. She watched Lilian exit the sitting room before she brought back her gaze to her sulking man.
"Go freshen up and come downstairs so we can have dinner. This is not the perfect time to act so grumpily hmm," Jasmine said cupping his face.
She coaxed Jackson until he went upstairs to shower. Some minutes later, Jackson came back down for dinner. He met Jasmine waiting for him in the dining room.
They ate and chatted happily. After they finished eating they rested a few minutes in the sitting room before they went to their room upstairs.
Jasmine and Jackson were chatting happily when Jackson expression suddenly turned serious.
"Jasmine, we have evidence about Jane's cruel actions towards us in the past. I never mentioned anything about this for the past five days because I wanted you to rest and not get disturbed. Right now I don't think I can wait anymore," Jackson said in a serious tone.
"I am afraid I might murder her with my bare hands if she tries to come in between the two of us again so I want you to decide what to do with her," Jackson said as he stare into her eyes.
"If it was left for me, I would have murdered her for all the pains and heartaches she puts the two of us through…,"
"I don't want my husband or the father of my children to be labelled a murderer so please never do such a thing. Don't give her the pleasure of soiling your hands with her blood. If you ask me, I will tell you that she is not worth it," Jasmine said cupping Jackson's face with her hands.
"Are you trying to say we should forgive her for all the atrocities she has committed…,"
"Did you hear me say such a thing?" Jasmine interrupted him sharply. "Did she do something worthy of my forgiveness? If no then why on earth should I forgive her?" Jasmine asked fiercely.
"Then what do you suggest we do to her to make her incapable of causing trouble again?" Jackson asked while staring at his woman's face.
"What else if not to let her spend so many years in prison. Who knows maybe the terrible condition in the prison will make her repent," Jasmine said before she shifted away slightly only to lie down on the bed with her head resting on Jackson's legs.
"I will have Max submit all the evidence we have plus the one given to me by father-in-law to the police station. Be rest assured that she will be arrested the moment the evidence of her crimes is submitted," Jackson assured as he pats her hair lovingly with his hands.
"Let's sleep early today. I have somewhere very important to go to very early in the morning," Jackson said, his words making Jasmine sit up on the bed.
"Somewhere important?" Jasmine asked. "Is it a business meeting….,"
"It's more important than a business meeting and this is because it concerns my present and future happiness," Jackson said as he smiles at her.
"What does that mean huh?" Jasmine asked, giving Jackson suspicious glances. Her suspicious glares didn't make Jackson reveal the truth to her.
"Don't worry you will be the first to know when I succeed," Jackson said before he lay down on the bed. He pulled her onto his body when he saw that she wouldn't lay down.
The next day, Jackson woke up very early just like he had said the previous day. He went around getting prepared but he made sure he didn't disturb his woman who was still fast asleep.
He left before breakfast was even ready. Jackson drove away without taking his driver along with him. He drove for about forty minutes only to park his car some distance away from a huge gate.
He stayed in the car for over an hour before a black car drove out of the gate. After confirming the plate number of the car, Jackson followed the car.
He followed the car for over fifty minutes until the car halted in a parking space. Jackson made sure he parked his and run to the black car before the owner of the car could come out.
"Good morning, uncle," Jackson greeted bowing slightly to show respect. The man raised his gaze and stare at Jackson. His expression didn't speak much, since his face was blank.
"You are here quite early. Should I applaud you for your persistence or should I laugh at your foolishness?" Mr Avans asked in a stern tone.
"Uncle….,"
"Is it that you didn't understand my words when I said I wouldn't give out my beloved daughter to….,"
"Uncle, I love Jasmine a lot. I am willing to do anything as long as you will give us the permission to get married," Jackson said in a meek tone. He paid no attention to the workers on the golf course who was helping Mr Avans take out his tools.
"You want to marry her?" Mr Avans asked his gaze turning murderous.
"On the day you came to my house with my daughter for formal introduction, I should have slapped you for letting a single lady live with you but I held myself back for her sake. I was certain she will never talk to me again if I did such a thing to you," Mr Avans stated fiercely. For this particular topic, Jackson didn't seem to have an excuse for his actions.
He asked Jasmine to take turns living with him and also in her house because he loves having her around him but he wouldn't dare tell Mr Avans this.
"You have been living with her for over two months but it is now you feel the need to come and ask for my permission, what do you take me for?" Mr Avans asked coldly.
