Chapter 421 – Where Is It?
When it was 7:00 pm the group of friends went to the cinema, each holding onto her partner tightly.
"These are the movie tickets. We are all sitting on different rows except Jasmine, Jackson, Jeff and Catherine whose seats are next to each other," Evelyn said as she shared the tickets.
"One day is the name of the movie. I haven't watched it before," Jasmine said when she saw the name of the movie they were about to watch.
"Neither I too so let's look forward to it," Evelyn said with smiles as she approached where popcorn and drinks are sold.
They all did the same thing. Some minutes later they were all sitting inside the huge hall waiting for the movie to begin.
The moment the lights went off, Jasmine hugged Jackson's right hands tightly. Jackson pats her hair before he brought his gaze to the screen which had started playing.
Everyone in the hall was happily enjoying the movie when Catherine turned to check up on her friend. She saw the couple sitting beside them kissing so intensely without any worries.
"Hey, girlfriend hold back yourself a little. Don't forget we are in the cinema and not in your home. Have a little bit of shame hmm," Catherine said in low tones touching Jasmine to make her stop kissing Jackson.
Instead of stopping their kiss seemed to intensify. Jasmine was enjoying herself too much to hear her best friend's words.
"Just let them be. You know they won't listen to you until they have executed what they have in mind," Jeff said seeing that Catherine's words were not heard by his friends.
"If Jasmine and Jackson are acting this way, I wonder what Evelyn is doing. I am almost a hundred per cent sure that just like Jasmine she will be giving those sitting on her roll nosebleed," Catherine exaggerated as she look in the direction she saw Evelyn and Steve sat.
"There is no need to worry about what they do. I am afraid you might also suffer from a nosebleed so why don't we concentrate on the two of us," Jeff said as he stare into her eyes affectionately. His face inches closer seeing that she didn't show any sign of rejection.
Just when their lips were about to join Catherine look away.
"Let's concentrate on watching the movie. Stop having naughty thoughts because I won't satisfy them," Catherine said her gaze glued on the screen.
Here she comes again and here I thought we were ok since she looked genuinely happy after sister-in-law returned.
Jeff thought his gaze glued on the face of his woman which wasn't even looking in his direction.
Meanwhile, as Jeff was staring at his woman who is ignoring him, Alfred on the other hand was also staring at his woman with loving eyes.
Elizabeth pretended to be so focused on the movie playing before she shifted her attention to the right.
Her husband affectionate eyes interlocked with hers causing her to momentarily forget her surrounding. She soon snapped out of it.
"Why do you keep staring at my face with those piercing eyes? Do I perhaps have something on my face?" Elizabeth asked subconsciously touching her face when she saw Alfred nods his head.
"Where is it? I can't find it," Elizabeth said when she couldn't find the thing Alfred said was on her face.
"Bring your face closer so I can help you to remove it," The absent-minded Alfred said not taking his gaze off her face. The innocent Elizabeth who was unaware of what her husband was up to pulled closer just like her husband said.
The next thing that happened was that Alfred kissed her in front of so many prying eyes. She couldn't believe her eyes. Elizabeth was too stunned to react.
"I have removed it," Alfred said without an ounce of shame after pulling away. He brought his attention back to the screen.
After what he did it was Elizabeth turn to do the staring.
What just happened? Did Fred trick and kiss me? Whom did he learn it from? Was it from Jeff, Steve or Evelyn?
Elizabeth thought her gaze still centred on her husband. Although she was surprised by his sudden action, she didn't dislike what he did one bit. She brought back her attention to the screen when Alfred turned to stare at her.
The group of friends went outside after the movie ended.
Evelyn and Steve were the last people to come out of the building. They met others waiting for them where they parked their cars.
"So guys how did you find the movie?" Evelyn asked when she reached where they stood.
"It was good," Jasmine holding onto Jackson's hand said smiling.
"It was good? Did you and Jackson even pay attention to the movie at all?" Catherine asked playfully.
"I believe they enjoyed each other's company more than they enjoyed the movie. They were even kissing…,"
"You don't have to tell them everything in detail," Jasmine interrupted Jeff from finishing his words. Evelyn turned in time to see Elizabeth's blushing face.
"Liz, why are you blushing? Don't tell me you and Alfred also kissed?" Evelyn asked teasingly, her words causing everyone to look at Elizabeth.
"What… what… what are you saying?" Elizabeth stutter despite her efforts to act like nothing happened. Alfred couldn't resist smiling seeing his wife flushed face.
"Seeing how you are acting you look even more suspicious," Jeff joined in the teasing.
"Since you won't tell us, how about I ask Alfred?" Evelyn asked suppressing her laughter.
"Alfred, what happened between…,"
"Will you guys stop teasing my sister-in-law? Look at how tensed she has become because of your teases," Jackson decided to help Elizabeth not knowing that he was giving them the opportunity to tease him.
"Oh, I can see Mr Lover-boy is trying to earn some good points by helping his future sister-in-law. What should I call this huh?" Evelyn joked, her huge sense of humour making everyone laugh without a care.
