Chapter 405 – Calls Kept Coming

"Stop whatever crazy thoughts you are having because I am not that gutsy to go after Cat's man. Also, you are the only man I have eyes for so why will you be jealous of other men who can't get my attention not to mention my affections," Jasmine's words made Jackson smile broadly.

"I am the only man you are captivated to, really?" Jackson asked as though he didn't know how Jasmine feels about him.

Jasmine, I have absolute trust in your love for me but starting from today I will throw tantrums at every trivia thing. I will be like every other man who is in a relationship. I feel like it's because I fail to do these things that is why you mistook my trust for hatred. You wouldn't have easily left me if I had called to throw tantrums about the news. I will make sure you don't have any other excuse to leave me in the future.

Jackson thought still staring at her with a smiling face.

"Of course, you are the only one," Jasmine said as she stretched and pecked him on the lips. Just when Jackson wanted to settle for a more intimate kiss, his cell phone rang.

He had to reluctantly hold back himself and let go of his tempting woman.

Checking the caller ID he saw that it was a video call from Elizabeth.

"Happy New Year, Big Sis, sister-in-law!!!" Jackson and Jasmine chorused with smiles on their faces. Seeing the face of the lady she and her parents has been searching for, Elizabeth could not utter a word. Even Alfred sitting beside her was shocked to see Jasmine in the video call.

"Big sis, why are you acting like you have seen a ghost?" Jasmine asked seeing that her sister was unable to utter a word.

"I was only missing for a month and not dead but the way all of you have been staring at me makes me feel like I was resurrected from the dead," Jasmine said as she faked a displeased expression. Elizabeth soon got over the shock.

"If you didn't want us to look at you this way then you shouldn't have ignored my calls and text messages only to go missing a day later," Elizabeth scolded. The guys just quietly watch the two sisters talk.

"How could you be so heartless to cut off all contacts with everyone for a month? Do you know how worried we were? Even mum and dad were not spared from worrying about you each day," Elizabeth said.

"Lizzy, this is new year refrain from nagging too much and concentrate more on giving me a little niece or nephew," Jasmine said in a playful tone.

"I am talking about a serious thing and you are…,"

"Giving me a nephew is more important than what you are saying if you don't know," Jasmine bold reply left Elizabeth speechless. Alfred tries not to laugh out for fear of what his woman will do to him.

"And what did you mean by mum and father were worried about me? Did they know about my disappearance?" Jasmine asked curiously.

"I thought I told Cat to keep it a secret…,"

"And that is exactly the reason why we didn't involve the police because we didn't want the media or public to learn about your disappearance," Elizabeth said in a serious tone.

"Mum was so worried about you. And dad, I think he was even the first person to know about your disappearance. He didn't say much. He only threatened to disown you….,"

"This is not the first time he has threatened to disown me that is why I am not scared of that. Also, he was the first to learn about my disappearance because his men keeping watch on him tell him so," Jasmine said sounding upset.

"Dad pays attention to you more than he does to me or anyone else….,"

"That is only because he is afraid I will ruin his name. You know him more than I do because you are closer to him…,"

"This is a new year. Will you ladies stop arguing hmm," Alfred intervened.

"Yeah, Miss Naughty you are the one who kept saying this is a new year and time for new things. Time to exhibit new attitudes, how about letting go of the past hatred towards your old man?" Jackson said as he stole a glance at her.

"Lizzy, Alfred it's so nice to talk to you guys. Don't worry we will bond more after I return in the morning," Jasmine ignored what Jackson said. It was so obvious that she didn't want to talk about the topic.

"We are looking forward to your return," Alfred said with smiles.

"Lizzy, brother-in-law, I wish you will always be happy. May this year be filled with so many blissful moments and good stuff. Also, I want a nephew or niece as soon as possible," Jasmine said in a playful tone.

"I also want a naughty niece that is just like you from you this year too," Elizabeth teased Jasmine back.

"Haha…," Jasmine laughed at her sister's words. They continue talking for two minutes more before Jackson disconnected the call. The next people to call Jackson's line was Evelyn and Steve. The two were also stunned like the others to see Jasmine with Jackson.

Out of those who previously called, their call was the longest.

After their call with Steve and Evelyn, Jasmine brought out her laptop she had kept away since she didn't want her location to be tracked.

Jackson sat at her back silently watching to see what she was up to.

"You want to call your mum?" Jackson asked when he saw Jasmine about to click on her mum's line.

"Yes, no matter how busy I am in the past I always made sure to call her to wish her Happy New Year…,"

"If that's is the case then you should have told me so. That way I would have freshened and dressed up nicely," Jackson said as he immediately stood up from the bed.

"Why are you getting so nervous? This is not the first time you are meeting her right…,"

"I am aware of that but I need to look good in front of my future mother-in-law. I can't afford to ruin my reputation in front of her," Jackson said as he picked up his shirt lying on the floor.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hi darling readers, I wasn't supposed to upload another chapter today but I just recalled that I forgot to do the most important thing before the year ends.

2021 came with a lot of surprises be it good or bad. They were times I got so tired of everything including writing. The way my books were doing poorly despite all the time, effort and resources I invested in it made me lack motivation to do anything. This constant failure as an author almost made me give up on writing. The reason I wrote "MISSION XX: SEDUCING THE GREAT SEDUCER", was because my friend constantly kept encouraging me to do it despite how scared I was.

Although all these things happened I still think 2021 has been my best year as an author.

2021 brought me a lot of wonderful readers through this book and other of my books. I got to meet and befriend wonderful readers just like you. You guys might not understand how much this means to me but it's ok since I do.

Overall, 2021 was awesome and this was all because of my superb readers who showered me with their endless love and supports. The feeling that my readers will always get my back no matter what this 2021 made me so happy. It made me feel like I could fly and soar so high.

I wish 2022 will be more awesome than this. I wish all my efforts after all these years of being an author will pay off. I wish my readers will support and shower me with their love in 2022 more than they did this year 2021.

I wish AllNovelFull will give me enough publicity and a little bit of attention so that I will shine just like other authors. I also wish for all my readers to remain happy and healthy comes 2022.
