Jasmine folded up her work after she got a call from Jackson. Before she went to bed, she made sure to choose the outfit she planned on wearing to Evelyn's mum birthday party.
The following day Jackson woke up very early so that he would be able to visit his woman before he leaves for work. Because of how early he woke up. He was able to spend an hour with her. He even had breakfast at her place.
He left after promising to pick her up for the party. Jasmine did not go to work again today so she spent the day working at home. Her Secretary visited her to bring the pressing documents that urgently required her signature. Because she wanted to make her Secretary return to the office in time, she skipped lunch and for some reason, Jackson did not call to remind her to take her pills.
Two hours after breakfast Jasmine finally concluded her work. About an hour more after her Secretary left for the office, Jackson showed up at her home. He met her sleeping on the couch in the sitting room.
"Felicia, why didn't you ask your Madam to sleep in her room instead of here. What if she catches a cold?" Jackson sitting beside where Jasmine's head lay asked sounding upset.
"I try to dissuade her into sleeping here but she wouldn't listen to me. I had no choice but to let her do whatever she wanted when she threatened me with my salary," Felicia replied honestly.
"Next time if she fails to listen to you concerning such an important issue then call me because I can't afford to see her fall sick," Jackson said seriously as he began patting her hair.
"Ok, I will do that," Felicia replied as she stare at her boss who was still fast asleep.
Felicia left them alone when she saw that Jackson did not have any other task for her. Jasmine changed position about thirty minutes later. On opening her eyes she was surprised to see the face of the guy who was patting her hair.
Realising that her head was now on his legs she gently sat up. She turned to have a proper view of his face.
"When did you arrive?" Jasmine asked curiously.
"A long time ago. I did not wake you up because you were fast asleep. Felicia told me you refused to sleep in your room...,"
"Don't scold me because I was waiting for you. I fell asleep in the process of waiting for you. I was exhausted," Jasmine said before Jackson could scold her.
"Really? So does that mean you took your pills?" Jackson asked suspiciously. When she did not say anything he knew that his guess that she did not have her medication was correct.
"I thought you promised to...,"
"I am sorry. It skipped my mind and you did not call me to remind me about taking the pills so that means you are also at fault," Jasmine quickly tried to justify her actions.
"I didn't call you not because I forgot but because I wanted to test you. I wanted to test how capable you are of taking care of yourself but you failed the test. Without me by your side, you always neglect taking care of yourself so tell me how you will cope if one day I am not by your side," Jackson said sounding pretty upset with her.
"You are also the same. You neglect yourself and even your health but you take very good care of me and likewise me. I can neglect myself all I want but I will never neglect you, this is why we compliment each other perfectly...," Jasmine trailed as she hugged his hand.
"And what did you mean by when you are not by my side, are you planning to abandon me or what?" Jasmine asked as she raised her hand and caress his face.
"I could never leave you. Even though you try to push me away I will never leave you, it's a promise," Jackson said as he pats her hair lovingly.
"The party will be starting soon so let's go to your room so you can freshen up and get prepared. We will drop by at my place so I can get changed too," Jackson said as he waited for her to release his hand.
"I knew you would definitely drop by at my house first that is why I had Lilian and Thomas deliver the sets of clothes you are wearing for the party to my mansion. Your outfits and other accessories are in my room," Jasmine said as she stood up.
"What a thoughtful wife you are. I am sure I would have fewer things to worry about when we get married," Jackson complimented before he carried her off the floor.
"Stop sweet-talking me and let's go get ready. Also, you don't need to carry me around from now onwards since my legs are almost healed. I can walk properly now," Jasmine said as she made to come down from his body but Jackson refused to let her down.
"I love doing this so let me do it," Jackson said as he carried her and approach the stairs.
"Young Master is so good to Young Miss, I have never seen a man who treats a lady better than he treats Young Miss. Even though they are not married yet, they live the life of newlyweds, so lovely," Felicia who just came out and met Jackson climbing the staircase while carrying Jasmine said with smiles while staring at them.
"Stop staring at them or you might suffer from diabetes because of their sweetness," Paul, the chef who came out and met Felicia staring at their boss said as he nudged her. This act of his almost made Felicia suffer from a heart attack.
"Why did you sneak up on me like that?" Felicia asked in an angry tone.
