Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

The moment the sizeable piece of omelette touched her tongue Catherine wanted to spit it out but when she saw the hopeful look in his eyes, she faked a smile at him.

"So how is it? Does it taste good?" Jeff asked with glittering eyes. Catherine quickly closed her eyes and swallowed the horrible food.

"Not bad I guess," Catherine said as she beamed at him.

"I am glad you liked it," Jeff said smiling. Catherine decided right then not to let him eat the food since she was sure that he will feel disappointed.

After taking three more bites Catherine who could no longer handle the horrible taste quickly grabbed the glass of juice he prepared for her and drank it. She was so relieved when she realised that the juice was nothing horrible like the food.

Because she was distracted, she did not see Jeff cut the omelette in front of him into a sizeable piece and put it in his mouth. He frowned when he had a taste of what Catherine was deliciously eating earlier. He spat out the food into the plate and raise his gaze to stare at her.

"The food is nothing near delicious so why didn't you say it? And why did you act as though it was good when it taste so horrible?" Jeff questioned seriously. His once happy expression turned unhappy and that of guilt.

"Because I was afraid that you will be disappointed if I tell you its true taste and I acted as though it was delicious because I wanted you to be happy," Catherine said as she extends her hand across the table to hold his hands.

"I know how hard you must have worked to prepare the breakfast. I did not want your efforts to go in vain so don't be angry," Catherine said as she caressed his hand gently.

"I really wanted to impress you this time around but I can't believe I ended up disappointing you instead. Apart from being good in bed, I am just so useless unlike other men who are good at almost everything," Jeff said dejectedly as he avoids staring into her eyes.

"And who the heck said you are useless and that you are only good in bed?" Catherine said before she quickly turns around to where he sat. She turns him around before she squats in front of him.

"You are very good at making money right so why are you saying you are useless?" Catherine asked playfully.

"And Jeff it is not compulsory that everyone must be good at everything so stop comparing yourself to others...," Catherine trailed as she raised her hand and caress his face.

"Take Jasmine as an example she is bad at cooking and very terrible at hiding her emotions while Jackson is good at these two aspects and I am sure they are things Jackson is terrible at that Jasmine is good at. And the same is with us," Catherine said as she continued staring into his eyes.

"Our flaws is what makes us compliments each other that is why you don't have to be disappointed. I am good at cooking so you don't have to worry hmm," Catherine concluded.

"And I love you for who you are so there is no need to change yourself," Catherine said as she smiled sweetly at him.

"You are just saying that now...,"

"Before I decided to date you, I knew that my man is a little prince so that means I decided to date you despite knowing your flaws so stop doubting my love for you or I will be mad at you," Catherine said before she stretched and pecked him on his lips.

"Stop frowning and wait for me here. I will prepare a quick breakfast for us that you will love," Catherine said before she stood up and approach the kitchen. Despite that, she said he should not follow her, Jeff did not listen to her. He followed her into the kitchen.

Entering the kitchen Catherine was so relieved that he had already cleaned up his mess.

Since they had little time before their flight, Catherine only prepared toast bread, fried egg and two cups of milkshakes.

After they were done with their delicious breakfast, they instantly got ready for the long journey. Thirty minutes to the departure time, Jasmine called Catherine to check up on her progress. After Jasmine's call, Steve also called Jeff to check up on them. Evelyn and Jackson also did likewise.

Only Alfred and Elizabeth who were not aware of this did not call her. Everyone also called to check on them when it was a few minutes to their departure.

They would have all loved to see the two of them off but Catherine had already told them that it was not necessary.

Their flight from the airport to Shanghai was very long. When Catherine and Jeff reached their doorstep it was already midnight.

"Dad!" Catherine remarked in excitement the moment her father opened the door for them. She quickly hugged the elderly man who was in his sleeping robes.

Judging from his expression, Jeff could see that the elderly man wasn't asleep when they arrived but stayed awake until this moment just to welcome them.

"My unfilial daughter has finally decided to come home after so many years," Mr Qin as he patted her back with smiles on his face. He pretended as though he did not see the guy standing right in front of him.

When Catherine recalled that she hasn't introduced Jeff, she quickly pulled out of her father's embrace. She quickly pulled Jeff closer so that they were standing on the same line.

"Dad, meet...,"

"Let's go in. I am sure you must be tired," Mr Qin said not sparing Jeff a glance. He quickly held Catherine by the hand.

"And who said you could enter my house?" Mr Qin asked as he turned and shot Jeff a fierce glance when he tried to enter the house.

"Dad!!!" Catherine yelled when she saw her dad obstruct Jeff from entering the house.
