"And what can you do to me if I refuse to do as you said?" Emmelyn challenged with pride. She did not know that being so prideful in front of someone like Jasmine will only leave her at a disadvantage rather than help her.
"I will not do anything to you but I will definitely make sure I ruin your entire family," Jasmine said. Her expression and tone showed that she meant what she said.
"You are just bluffing. You cannot do anything...,"
"Which would you want, an evil stepmother or a wicked sister-in-law?" Jasmine asked fiercely. Her evil grin at the end of her sentence further annoyed the already angry lady.
"The last time I saw your elder brother he was looking at me lustfully so if your choice is a wicked sister-in-law then I would immediately become one. All I need is just to whisper a word into his ears and he will do whatever I want..,"
"You wouldn't dare!" Emmelyn said furiously.
"Or would you prefer I get married to your dad? I heard he is not satisfied with your mum these days and that he is looking for young blood. What do you think he will do if I offer myself to him on a platter of Gold? Wouldn't the news of a sixty years old man getting married to a twenty-four years old lady be the hottest, what do you think?" Jasmine said with an excitement-filled tone.
"You are shameless that is what you are," Emmelyn said fiercely. A wicked smile appeared on Jasmine's face when she heard Emmelyn's words. Rather than finding her words upsetting, she finds them satisfying especially Emmelyn's angry expression.
"I can be even more shameless just to avenge those who dare hurt the ones I love so stay away while I am being nice because to ruin your family is a piece of cake to me," Jasmine said sternly.
"Even though I am unable to teach you a lesson someone gutsier than me will do it so be careful out there," Emmelyn said as she turned and walked away.
"Don't worry I will be the one teaching you a lesson you will never forget if you dare go against my words. Don't forget, I am a villainess. What people think about me doesn't bother me unlike you who have to pretend when people are around?" Jasmine said loudly while staring at Emmelyn's departing back.
Jasmine went back into the restaurant and waited for her sister. It took Elizabeth ten minutes to come out of the restroom. And when she reached their table, Jasmine could notice some signs that showed that she cried.
"Let's go," Elizabeth said on reaching their table. Jasmine quietly followed her. Being a weekend, they both did not have to worry about work. They had wanted to spend the day together but because Elizabeth did not seem to be in the mood Jasmine lied that she had another appointment.
"Big Sis, if something is bothering you or you have a problem with Alfred, ask him for an explanation because it might really be a misunderstanding. Nothing works in marriage more than effective communication, never forget that," Jasmine standing outside of Elizabeth car said before Elizabeth could drive away. She also left afterwards.
Since her plans with Elizabeth got foiled by an evil witch, Jasmine had plans to join Catherine in her home but when she recalled that Catherine told her about having plans with Jeff she had no choice but to go back home.
Everyone had a partner to hang out with except her. She was the only lonely person among her friends.
While others were having fun Jasmine had no one to hang out with so she just buried herself in her work. While working she lost track of time. She only realised that it was almost time for dinner when her cellphone rang. When she saw the caller ID she was very glad.
"Jasmine, we were able to set a dinner outing and Jackson is joining us too but he is not aware you are coming. This is your chance to make up with him...,"
"He is coming? Really?" Jasmine asked anxiously. Even without being there, Catherine could tell how nervous she was through her voice.
"Yes, so don't forget to dress prettily. You guys haven't seen each other for more than a week so dress your best so you can capture his heart once more," Catherine lying in Jeff's arms said with smiles on her face.
"What are you saying? Have you ever seen me dress shabbily before?" Jasmine said her mood brightened up instantly on hearing that Jackson will be present in their outing.
"We will be leaving in a few minutes so get ready and join us early. You know how nasty his temper can be sometimes. He might leave in the middle of the meal and if this happens I am afraid you both might not be able to see each other," Catherine said seriously.
"Don't worry, I will be there on time. He will not be able to escape from me today," Jasmine said instantly standing up from where she was sitting.
"Ok, I will send you the venue of the restaurant shortly," Catherine said before she disconnected the call.
"Jasmine has been completely melted this time around. I guess JK's suffering this past week was not completely in vain," Jeff said grinning.
"I have always thought that Jasmine was the most stubborn person in the world but my opinion has changed after what Jackson did. He deserves the title more," Catherine said as she wrapped her hands around Jeff's body. The manner in which Jasmine rushed to her room stunned Felicia who had come to the sitting room to inform her that dinner was room.
"I have never seen Young Miss run so fast, I wonder who or what is making her run so fast?" Felicia muttered before she turned and left. She did not need to ask Jasmine to know that she would not have dinner at home that night.
