Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Even when his car approached her, she did not move an inch. She watched his car drove out of the huge compound.

"I guess this is for the better right?" Jasmine mumbled while staring at the huge gate. She walked back into the house after he was gone.

Some hours after the incident, the video of the incident for some unknown reason began circulating on the internet. Since Jasmine's phones were taken away from her, she did not have any source to know what was happening. Mr Avans almost wanted to wreak havoc on the reporters that were present at the time of the incident had his wife not advised him to calm down.

Jeff, Catherine and the others tried to contact Jasmine but unfortunately, her line wasn't going through. As if reporters were waiting for this to happen, they all distributed themselves to all the places Jasmine frequents. They gathered around her house, company and her parents' house. Some of them even had the effrontery to gather around Avans Group headquarters.

While all this was going on the bored Jasmine was enjoying her favourites dramas and luckily for her, her parents decided to keep what happened a secret from her.

When it was time for dinner, Jasmine could feel that the atmosphere wasn't right but she could not pinpoint exactly what was happening. The most surprising thing was that her father did not utter a single word to her in the dining.

"Mum, is father ok?" Jasmine asked after her father had exited the dining room.

"Go to your room and rest early after you are done with your meals. Don't even think about escaping," Mrs Avans said before she left the dining.

"What is wrong with everyone?" Jasmine muttered as she stare at her mum's departing back. Jasmine brushed off their weird attitude thinking that maybe they were both angry at her because of the earlier incident.

The next day at breakfast the same atmosphere at dinner the previous day was the same atmosphere that greeted her. The way the maids were even staring at her made her even more worried. After breakfast, she stayed in the sitting room since her father won't let her go to work.

Seeing her father executive assistant climb down from the stairs she decided to question him. At least even though everyone in the mansion is afraid of her father, Eric his executive assistant won't be.

"Eric, what is going on exactly? Father looked disturbed earlier at dinner and so was mum and now you are added to the list. And this shows that something huge must have happened so can you tell me what is going on because the suspense is killing me," Jasmine standing obstructing his path said in a polite tone.

"Stop keeping quiet and say something. I promise father won't hear about what you are gonna tell me and any maids who dare to gossip about it, I will sew her lips together so that she won't be able to ever make use of her mouth," Jasmine threatened as she glared at the maids who were pretending as though they were working.

"I know you dislike watching the news but how about you check the news. I am sure that you will understand what is happening," Eric said before he walked past her.

"What does he mean by I should watch the news?" Jasmine asked no one in particular as she stare at his departing back. After not being able to guess what Eric words mean Jasmine hurried to her room. When she reached her sitting-room she turned on her television.

"This is a business news channel," Jasmine said as she stretched her hand and pick up the black remote lying on the centre table. Without wasting time she changed the channel to a different one.

"What the heck is going on here?" Jasmine remarked in shock as she readjusted herself on the couch.

"Did the reporters dare go against my father and upload the video? How much will they make from a lousy video that they would risk their media house closing down?" Jasmine thought as she stare at the television in which the video of the incident in her house was playing while a young guy was talking. Whatever the young man was saying did not enter her head, the only thing that caught her attention was the video.

"Goddamn it! No wonder mother and father did not utter a word to me. I am sure father must have held himself from strangling me to death for soiling his good name and that of the family," Jasmine thought as she bowed her head.

"For the video to have appeared on the television I am sure that it must have gone viral. It's ok if the entire nation called me a b*tch but I can't believe I dragged him into my mess," Jasmine said as she cupped her face.

"The news must have a greater impact on him and his company. I need to go out there and clarify everything before it blows out of proportion," Jasmine said as she quickly stood up and approach her dressing room. Thank goodness she still has nice sets of clothes here, she won't need to worry about looking shabby in front of the reporters.

After she had changed into a pink dress she headed downstairs. Thank goodness her parents were not there to stop her.

"Young Miss, you can't go out there," Eric coming down from the top of the stairs on seeing Jasmine approached the door shouted after her.

Jasmine headed out pretending as though she did not hear him. Before the bodyguards standing far away could stop her, Jasmine had already entered her car.

"I will run over anyone who dares to stand in my way," Jasmine threatened cold as she ignited the car.

Realising that her words were not mere threats, the security guards stood far away from her car and instantly Jasmine zoomed off but what she saw on reaching the gates made her realise that her decision was wrong.
