Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"And what if he turns out to be the same as that jerk? What if he is not mine too? Won't I use another six years or even my entire life hurting and regretting my decision?" Jasmine thought as she stare at her sister's departing back.

Jasmine stayed on the rooftop for another ten minutes before she went to her room to join the others. Few minutes after she returned, they all went back to the hotel. Nobody knew the reason but ever since Jasmine returned from the rooftop she began keeping her distance from Jackson.

About three hours after they came back, Jasmine was seen sitting at the beach under a shade staring at the water. She was too lost in her thoughts to realise that Catherine was approaching her. She only noticed her presence when Catherine talked.

"What is wrong? You look disturbed. If something is bothering you, you can always tell me. You know I am always and will forever be on your side," Catherine said as she beamed at Jasmine to make her feel relaxed.

"Nothing is bothering me....,"

"Do you think I am stupid or that after spending so many years with you that I can't see when you are disturbed?" Catherine asked seriously.

"Anyways, if you feel shy about telling me what is disturbing you then it's fine with me. I will wait until you are ready but before that, I have something to discuss with you," Catherine said. Her words caught Jasmine's attention.

"What is it? Are you and Jeff in some kind of misunderstanding? If he had dared to hurt you I will teach him a lesson he will never....,"

"What I want to discuss is not about me but it's about you, Jasmine," Catherine cut her short abruptly.

"It's about me? And what is it about me that is making you look so serious?" Jasmine asked in a serious tone.

"Your relationship with Jackson," Catherine finally revealed.

"Ice Prince and I are in no relationship....,"

"But you like him," Catherine cut her short before she could even say a complete sentence.

"Jasmine, no matter how hard you try to deceive and conceal your feelings you know that you can never deceive me neither can you hide anything from me...,"

"What are you trying to say here?" Jasmine interrupted Catherine abruptly.

"I am saying that I know that you like Jackson. If you like him so much then why don't you give him a chance?" Catherine asked as she stare at Jasmine's sudden frowning face. Despite that Jasmine seems to be upset, that did not stop Catherine from continuing to speak her mind.

"Jackson although is a bit cold, we all know that he is a nice guy. I am sure that you can testify to that. Apart from being a nice guy, he doesn't have a history with women. He has eyes for only you so why not give him a chance to show you how much he loves you?" Catherine concluded as she waited for Jasmine's response.

"Did Jeff and the others bribe you to talk to me? Why is everyone just speaking to me about Ice Prince today?" Jasmine said standing up from the chair.

"Because we can see what you can't see or let me rephrase it. We can see and feel what you are pretending not to see or feel. Your happiness is our priority that is why we are like this," Catherine now standing beside her said seriously.

"And Cat, did you say he is a nice guy? Wasn't he also a nice guy but he had the guts to betray me?" Jasmine asked harshly as she began walking closer to the ocean.

"Also did you say Ice Prince does not have a history with women and that he has eyes for only me?" Jasmine asked as she turned and face Catherine. It was at this moment that Jackson arrived on the beach but he stood and watch them from far away.

"Did Nicholas have a history with women? Did he not act like he could give up his life for me but did he not betray my love at the end...,"

"Jackson is not him so you can not compare him to that scum. If you are treating him this way because of what that jerk and b*tch did then you are being unfair to him and yourself. He doesn't deserve to be treated this way and you deserve to be happy too," Catherine said in a mellowed tone.

"Although I am sure that Jackson is willing to wait for you for five years or even more, the women who are in love with him will not wait for that long. They are all impatient and desperate. They will do anything to jump on his bed at every given opportunity, don't forget that?" Catherine said as she tapped Jasmine by the shoulders.

"We are not asking you to make decisions right now. Take your time to think about all I said but don't take too long because the longer you hesitate, the more you are giving other women the opportunity to entertain unhealthy thoughts about him," Catherine said before she turned and walk away.

She was surprised when she saw Jackson standing there staring at Jasmine. She approached where he was standing.

"Jackson, don't approach her just yet. Give her some space. A lot is going through her mind right now so give her the time to process everything. I am sure she will come around," Catherine said in a calm tone.

"Do you know whether she is angry with me? She has not said a word to me since we left the hospital, did she tell you whether I did something she disliked?" Jackson asked in a worried tone.

"I don't think you did anything wrong. If you had done something to upset her, she would have told you about it. You know how she is," Catherine said.

"Ok, I will talk to her later then if you say so," Jackson as he took a last glance at her before he turned and left the beach. Catherine also went back to the hotel after Jackson left.
