Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"You might keep denying that you don't have a fiance, but despite that I don't like my marriage arrangement I would never deny the fact that I have a fiancee," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"You...,"

"Just get out of the car Jackson? You made me almost do what I hate the most, I don't want to see your face right now so leave or I will be forced to get out of the car like this," Jasmine ordered sternly. From her expression, Jackson could see that she was dead serious.

"I will leave as you want but before I leave know that what you are doing is unfair to me," The nude Jackson said as he packed his clothes and left the car.

"Goddamn it! Damn you, Jasmine! I can't believe you almost put another person through the same pains you went through six years ago. How could you be so cruel and shameless to do that to him? Even though you hate this marriage arrangement, you should never have committed such a mistake without calling off this arranged marriage? He has someone he likes too so how could you seduce him to this extent?" Jasmine scolded herself as she hits her hand hard against the door. She repeated this same action until her right hand hurt.

"Just because of one intimacy he completely forgot that he is in love with someone else, he did not relent in telling you he loves you, how could he do that? How come it takes him just a bit of intimacy to forget the one he loves?" Jasmine said as she looked at Jackson standing outside with his back facing her.

Jackson standing outside the car, tightened his fist when he saw how the lady he loves was punishing herself. His heart ached so much. He could not help but blame himself for what happened.

Jackson, you caused this? None of this would have happened if you had continued to hide your feelings for her. She wouldn't have had to hurt herself so badly because of you?

Jackson thought as he hits the front tyre with his right leg. Despite being in pain because of this he did not scream out in pain.

After about thirty minutes of standing in the cold, Jackson standing some distance away turned to face the backseat when he heard his name.

"Get in. Although I feel too angry and ashamed to look at you, I can't walk back to the hotel in this late hour so let's go," Jasmine who has now worn her dress said in a meek tone.

"Are you gonna sit at the back? You said...,"

"Yes," Jasmine cut him short abruptly.

"Ok, have your shoes," Jackson said as he opened the car and drop her shoes. He took a last glance at the lady who was avoiding staring at him. He went to the driver seat, strap the seatbelt and afterwards closed the door.

Jackson entered the car and drove off afterwards. The silence in the car was killing him but he could not do anything to change the atmosphere.

When they reach the hotel, Jasmine came out of the car and went inside the hotel without waiting for him like she normally did.

She seems very upset, I wonder whether she is gonna keep ignoring me for the entire trip.

Jackson now standing outside the car thought as he stare in the direction she took. He went into the hotel afterwards.

Jasmine had expected to meet Catherine in the sitting room and even get questioned but she was stunned when she search the entire hotel room but could not find Catherine.

"I guess Pretty boy couldn't resist letting her go that is why she decided to keep his bed warm tonight," Jasmine said as she went back into the bedroom. Because of the incident that took place earlier, she could not fall asleep easily. And when she fell asleep, she dreamt about the incident she has tried all these years to forget. Her mood hit rock bottom the moment she woke up but because of the events she planned she masked her pain behind those beautiful smiles.

At breakfast, everyone did not fail to notice the atmosphere between Jackson and Jasmine. The way they ignored each other made it so obvious that something happened between them.

"Catherine, did Jasmine and JK get into a fight?" Jeff asked Catherine after breakfast.

"I don't know. She didn't mention anything to me. I was surprised when I saw the way they acted earlier at breakfast," Catherine said in a calm tone. She shifted her gaze towards the direction Alfred and Jasmine both sat on the sand under the sun.

"Didn't Jackson said anything? I am sure something serious must have happened between them for Jasmine to have decided to ignore him," Catherine said as she shifted her gaze to the guy sitting beside her under the shade.

"But the JK I know would never upset Jasmine no matter how hard she tries to provoke him. Just so he wouldn't lose his temper in her presence he has always regulated his emotions. I am sure it must have been a misunderstanding on Jasmine's part," Jeff said forgetting that Catherine doesn't know that Jackson loves Jasmine.

"I thought at first Jackson disliked her so why will he go through that hassle for the lady he hates? Or don't tell his cold attitude towards Jasmine was all a pretence?" Catherine who now has a broad understanding of what was going on asked suspiciously.

"Jeff, Jackson is in love with Jasmine, am I correct?" Catherine asked as she stare into his wavering eyeballs. From the look in his eyes, she could see that he was hiding something.

"Don't you dare lie to me or I will never talk to you ever again," Catherine threatened when she saw that he was reluctant to say anything?

"Jeff, we are not even in a relationship and you have begun keeping secrets from me, if you don't even trust me why should I accept your proposal," Catherine said sounding angry. She tried to stand up but Jeff quickly held her hand before she could walk away.

"I will tell you what you want to know but you must first promise me not to say a word of it to Jasmine. Steve and I promised JK not to mention anything to anyone, I am breaking his trust by wanting to reveal his secrets to you so you must give me your word that you will keep his secrets from everyone including Jasmine. I won't say a word if you don't make me that promise," Jeff said sternly as he gaze up at the lady who was still standing. Catherine lowered her gaze and stare at him when she heard his condition.

"Jeff, what kind of ridiculous condition is that? How do you expect me to make a promise when I don't even know what I am making the promise for?" Catherine asked. Her expression showed that she did not like Jeff's condition at all.

"If you can't make that promise then I am sorry I won't reveal anything to you since this concerns my best friend happiness," Jeff said unwaveringly.

Yes, he loves Catherine so much and does not want to hurt her but he would rather see her upset with him than see his best friend unhappy because of his decision. He knows what Jackson had to go through before he could build his relationship with Jasmine to the stage it is. Never would he want to do something that will crumble their relationship. He knows how heartbroken Jackson will be if anything ruins his plan.

Seeing how Jeff was willing to forsake his love for her but rather keep the secret of his friend, she quietly sat down on her previous position.

Jeff is a man of principle. A man who would rather keep a promise rather than divulge his friend secret just to save his relationship is hard to find. He is a true friend and I admire him a lot for this.

Catherine thought staring at his stern expression. Seeing that he wasn't wavering, she decided to agree to his terms.

"Ok, I promise I will keep whatever you say here a secret from everyone including Jasmine," Catherine finally broke off the tension that has begun building up.

Jeff turned to face after she had said what he wanted to hear.

"Catherine, the person JK loved that he told Jasmine about is actually Jasmine herself," Jeff revealed in a mellowed tone. His revelation left Catherine dumbfounded.

"What the f*ck!" Catherine shouted standing up abruptly. This reaction from her made other people turn and stare at her. Even Jasmine sitting with Alfred also stare in her direction, wondering what Jeff told Catherine to make her behave the way she did.

"Catherine, sit down or you will garner a lot of attention with the way you are acting. Don't forget you promised to keep everything I said a secret," Jeff said as he held her hand and gently urge her to sit down. Catherine slowly sat when she saw people were staring at her because of the way she acted earlier.
