Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Chapter 202 - Yay, We Won!

"So guys the rope for our first game has arrived and the next item is choosing of teammates," Jasmine announced delightfully.

"I am on your team...,"

"Same, I want to be on your team too," Jeff's voice overpowered that of Steve. Jasmine smile broaden when she saw how the guys were all struggling to be on her team.

"Guys, that is not how it is gonna work. If we decide on creating the two teams on this basis then one of the teams is gonna be crowded with members while the other team may have only two or three teammates so to be fair enough, I had earlier written the team on a sheet of paper and folded it. Whatever team you picked is the team you are gonna belong so guys let's have fun playing," Jasmine said as she picked a plate lying at her foot. It was after she passed the plates around that they noticed that the small bowl contained tiny folded papers.

After picking the folded papers including her, Jasmine ordered everyone to unfold the paper and reveal their teams.

"This is amazing! What formidable teams we have here," Jasmine said smiling radiantly.

"Kai, Ice Prince, Jane, Jeff and Evelyn are in team one," Jasmine announced as she waited to see their reaction. From their reaction, she could see that they were not happy with the arrangement. The only person who seems to love her team was Jane and her smile was evidence of it.

"Alfred, Steve, Jasmine, Elizabeth and Catherine are in team two," Jasmine said beaming. The reaction she caught from her teammates was very satisfying.

"This is a battle between lovers. Let's go get them, teammates," Jasmine said in excitement as she dragged the long brown room along with her.

The moment they reached a suitable spot, Jasmine drew a line to demarcate the boundary between the two teams. The two teams afterwards took their position holding onto each end of the long rope.

"Either of the teams will only win if three or all of the members from the opposing teams crossed this line that separates us," Jasmine stated the most important rule. The two teams grip around the rope tightened.

"Girlfriend, go easy on me ok," Steve said before Jasmine began the counting which will signal the commencement of the game.

"And then go," Jasmine standing at the back of Elizabeth said. Steve leading the team pulled the rope with all his strength. The others of his teammates also did likewise.

Seeing the fun games they were playing, spectators begin to gather and before long they were over twenty people cheering for their favourite teams.

If they knew that I am not after to win, I am sure the fans of our teams will surely shift to the other team. Nevertheless, I don't care about their judgement.

Jasmine thought as she pushed Elizabeth standing at her front. Her sudden action made Elizabeth end up hugging Alfred. This single action of hers made the other team gain some advantage.

Elizabeth still hugging her husband pull away when she realised what she had done.

"Be careful so you don't fall," Alfred said meekly before he turned and concentrated on the game. Elizabeth composed herself and focused her mind on the game once again. It wasn't up to ten minutes before Jasmine deliberately pushed her sister towards her husband again.

This time around Elizabeth ended up wrapping her hands around Alfred's waist. Alfred's mind immediately went blank because of their closeness. This made Alfred to lost concentration in the game.

With the strength of the three of them only, the other team stood a very high chance of winning but surprisingly they didn't. This event made them realise that the other team was going easy on Jasmine's team.

"Jasmine, what the heck are you doing? Do you want us to lose?" Catherine asked unhappily when she saw what her best friend standing in front did to her sister.

"I had no intention of winning in the first place so why bother about that?" Jasmine asked in low tones, making sure that the couple acting so lovely did not overhear her words.

"If you never wanted to win then why did you...,"

"Ssh... concentrate on the game now. You can ask me the same questions when we are done with the game," Jasmine said before she focused all her attention on the game.

At the other team, Jane frowned when she saw that neither of the men standing in front was applying enough strength to their hands. They deliberately did not want to win and she thinks this is all because of Jasmine who has a lot of influence on the men.

She hated Jasmine for this and the way Jackson has been staring at her for the past minutes worsened her anger. Too bad her strength alone wasn't enough to win against the three people.

"I am sorry. It wasn't intentional," Elizabeth said as she finally pulled away from him.

"I know," Alfred replied nonchalantly.

I am well aware of the fact that you will never hug me deliberately so I won't dare delude myself into thinking too much about it.

Alfred thought as his grip around the rope in his hands tightened. The three guys in the other team were too preoccupied staring at their women to realise that both Alfred and his wife had recovered.

With all their strength combined, it took only one pull for the three men to cross the line that marks the winner.

"Yay, we won!" Jasmine shouted excitedly as she sat on the sand to catch her breath and also regain her strength.

The others also sat down on the sand to regain their strength.

Jane did not forget to voice out her displeasure after she had regained herself.

"We had the greatest advantage to win yet you guys went easy on them. Now that the team of weaklings had won, are you all happy?" Jane asked momentarily forgetting to maintain that perfect Image she had always portrayed whenever Jackson was around. Her hatred for Jasmine did not let her think straight.
