All Novel Full Chapter 195 - Don't You Know This Much, Jasmine?
"Hi, Mr and Mrs Alfred," Jackson greeted politely. He was the second person to notice their presence.
"Hello, Mr Jackson. It's so nice to meet you up close," Elizabeth replied politely.
"Lizzy, what's with this formal tone? This is not the company, business party or conference so drop that formal tone. Everyone here is cool so just relax," Jasmine said playfully as she showed them where to sit.
"Everyone, I am sure you must be curious to know who they are," Jasmine said smiling.
"This is my sister and her darling handsome husband, Alfred and Elizabeth," Jasmine introduced still maintaining her smiling face. After introduction then the exchange of pleasantries followed.
"Guys, let's eat or the food is gonna get cold," Jeff said as he stare at the delicious-looking dishes on the white table. Surprisingly everyone seems to agree with him.
"Have this?" Jackson was the first person to remove a big chunk of meat and place it on Jasmine's plate. Everyone exchanged puzzled glances when they saw Jackson's public display of affection.
"You too," Jasmine said as she removed a lump of meat and place it on his plate too. Jeff and Steve's mouths subconsciously dropped open when they saw this little act of theirs. No one was left out of the surprise since they all knew Jasmine's character. The only person who was grinning was Evelyn. She particularly loves this sight.
"What are you all waiting for? Isn't the food up to your liking?" Jasmine who raised her gaze to meet them staring in her direction asked innocently.
"We are full just staring at the two of you," Evelyn commented before any other person could speak.
"What do you mean? I don't understand you," Jasmine asked with a confused look on.
"It's better that you don't understand," Evelyn said grinning wickedly. The two guys chuckled when they heard her reply.
I guess it's only Eve who can help Jack this time around. She is not afraid of her or anyone. This is the most amazing thing about her and this is exactly what made me fall in love with her in the past.
Steve thought smiling as he picked up his cutlery. They all began eating afterwards. Jasmine brushed off what Evelyn said off her mind.
After they finished eating, they all relaxed before they all went to the beach to relax.
On the beach, Jasmine and Elizabeth sat under the shade while Jackson sat on the warm sand some distance away from the ladies. Jeff, Steve, Evelyn and Catherine were all busy playing with their partners on the other side of the beach to care about Jackson.
Elizabeth whose eyes just caught Jackson staring at Jasmine with a gaze filled with nothing but pure love brought back her attention to Jasmine.
"Jasmine, your foolish guy seems to be in love with you. He has been staring at you so passionately since the minute we arrived on the beach. I even saw the way he stare at you at breakfast. I can't believe he travelled to the Maldives for your sake," Elizabeth said in a calm tone. Jasmine turned to stare in the direction he was sitting. She happens to meet him staring in their direction. He quickly looked away when he saw that Jasmine has caught him too.
"Maybe he was staring at you because your beauty looks irresistible," Jasmine tried to brush it off like it was nothing.
"Why would he be staring at me and I clearly saw that he was staring at you so don't try to confuse me into thinking that what I saw was wrong because it isn't," Elizabeth said unwaveringly.
"Why would he be staring at me affectionately when he has a fiance?" Jasmine asked. Her tone showed she did not believe what Elizabeth said.
"CEO Jackson of Smith International has a fiance? When did he get engaged that no one in the City knows about?" Elizabeth asked looking very confused.
"What do you mean?" Jasmine asked looking confused too.
"If the CEO of Smith International got engaged everyone in the City would have known about it. It would have been the hottest topic since that would have been the biggest news of Smith International. Why are you acting so dense when it comes to him? Don't you know this much Jasmine?" Elizabeth asked not understanding why Jasmine was suddenly acting like a high school kid.
"But she said she was his fiance and even the way his mum treats her didn't seem like she was a stranger to them. Even he did not deny it...,"
"I am sure he also did not confirm it too right?" Elizabeth asked staring into Jasmine's face which speaks of nothing but confusion.
Jackson, isn't the type to play along with such silly things so why on earth would he act as though she was his fiance when she isn't? And if what Big Sis said is true, what would be his motive for pretending? Am I the one wrong here or is it, my sister? Did Ice Prince get engaged to her without the knowledge of the public? There are just so many questions running through my mind and it's getting me all confused.
Jasmine thought, her eyes wandering from one place to the other.
"What are you thinking so much about? I thought you have always said that you hate thinking too much because thinking so much leads to the development of affections, don't tell me you are willing to develop feelings for him?" Elizabeth asked in a serious tone.
"If that happens, will you travel to South Korea if he goes on a trip there merely because you can't bear to part ways with him just like he travelled from Central City to the Maldives to accompany you," Elizabeth teased smiling at Jasmine?
"Big Sis, what are you talking about? Stop teasing me because he didn't come here for me but he came here on a business trip," Jasmine quickly clarified.
"He came here on a business trip on the same day you went on a trip and luckily the location has to be the same place? Why didn't his trip take place a week later or a week earlier and why didn't the meeting take place in places like Paris, Singapore and so on? Why did it have to be in the same Maldives that we set our trip on? Don't you find this the least suspicious?" Elizabeth analyzed in a very serious tone.
