All Novel Full Chapter 187 - You Are Going On A Business Trip?
"Mum, I can't believe you tricked me," Steve shouted displeasingly to the surprise of the woman and the young lady who was laughing and chatting happily. Evelyn, keeping Mrs Crown company smiled delightfully when she realised how fast the guys got to the hospital.
It was after they all sat down that Mrs Crown revealed the reason she asked the butler to make such a false alarm. She misses seeing her son so much and when Evelyn came up with pulling this prank on him she readily obliged.
After spending almost three hours in the hospital Steve had the butler sent his mum home after promising to visit her soon. Mrs Crown only agreed to his request only after Evelyn assured Mrs Crown that she will make sure Steve kept his words.
"Was this the company you wanted to visit? How could you give mum an idea of pranking me like that? Do you know how anxious I was on my way to the hospital?" Steve sitting on the driver's seat with Evelyn sitting beside him asked the smiling lady.
"Hey, don't scold me ok? I felt so bad when I saw Auntie in that miserable state earlier when I volunteered to help her. I did not know Auntie will agree to my idea but she did. And also I didn't lie to you about visiting the company. I did, I left after making sure that everything was in order," Evelyn explained her side of the story as she held Steve right hand and shake it gently, making cute expressions at him.
"Steve, stop being mad at me already. You know I can't stand seeing Auntie sad that is why I did what I did. I am sorry if my plan got you frightened," Evelyn said as she rested her head on his shoulders. She let his right hand tease his chest.
She teases him until he couldn't remain angry at her.
"Let's go have some exciting moments at home," Evelyn said playfully. still leaning on him.
Meanwhile, as this was going on Jackson and Jasmine took a ride around the city. The conversation they had was very meaningful and Jackson loved every bit of it. He almost got caught by Jasmine when he was staring so passionately at her.
"Don't forget I am leaving for the trip tomorrow so for a week I won't prepare your dinner but don't worry I will make sure I fulfil the days I couldn't cook when I come back," said Jasmine as she made to come down from the car.
"I also have a business trip out of the country. Even though you didn't go on the trip you still wouldn't be able to prepare my meal," replied Jackson before Jasmine could step out of the car.
"You are going on a business trip? Where to and for how long?" asked Jasmine in an anxious tone.
"Do you know how you look like right now?" Jackson asked as he focus all his attention on her anxiety-filled expression.
"Like a goddess descending from the sky?" Jasmine replied his question with a question.
"No. You look like a wife sending her husband to his other woman. Afraid that his affection for her will be stolen away when he comes back to her," said Jackson in a playful tone. He could not resist smiling on seeing her anxious expression turned to a displeased one.
"I will get back at you for the joke in the future. I will teach you what it means to get jealous to the point that your blood boils in fury," Jasmine joked before she came down from the car.
"Today's outing was fun. Although it wasn't for me, I still say thank you," said Jasmine before she walks away not waiting for his response.
"Everything I do has always been for you and you only but I just don't have the confidence to confess my feelings to you. The fear of rejection scares me to the bones. I am afraid that you will distance yourself from me if you know how intense my love for you is," Jackson mumbled staring at her departing back. He drove away after he has seen her enter the mansion.
Jackson went home that day. When he reached his room, he began arranging all he will need on the trip.
He went to bed after he was done. He woke up very early the next morning and got ready for work. He left the mansion without having breakfast like he normally did.
Two hours after his arrival he went into a meeting with his employees. The main purpose of the meeting was to formally inform all his employees about his trip. He urged them to continue working hard like they usually did and also promised to sack whosoever slacked with immediate effect when he comes back from the trip.
An hour after the meeting Jackson left his office with Max, his executive assistant accompanying him. At the ground floor, Jackson halted and turned to face.
"Max, make sure you stay alert when I am away. Handle all the minor documents in my absence. If anything major or an emergency comes up call me immediately," instructed Jackson sternly.
"My future happiness depends solely on this trip so don't you dare ruin it for me by calling me recklessly because I will not only make you single forever but I will make life a living hell for you if you mess up my plans," Jackson threatened coldly.
"Boss, is Steve and Jeff also joining you on the trip and what about Miss Jasmine, is she coming too?" Max asked curiously.
"Yes but you are not allowed to tell anyone that I went on a personal trip instead of a business trip. I will skin you alive if she gets wind of the fact that this trip was made only for her," Jackson threatened in a low tone.
"I won't say a word to anyone. Good luck boss," Max said as he beamed at his boss.
"Get to work now," Jackson ordered before he turned and approached the exit.
A lady previously hiding came out of her hiding place after the two men have gone their separate ways.
