Chapter 676 - Not Seriously Injured

Chapter 676: Not Seriously Injured

Meanwhile, at the hospital.

The moment Song Ning and Huo Jinyan caught wind of the traffic accident, they both had a mental breakdown. Even though the kids kept saying they were fine, Song Ning and Huo Jinyan were worried sick.

Song Ning embraced her daughter tightly. Her eyes were red from crying when she finally saw Huo Yao standing in front of her. “You gave me such a scare.”

Huo Yao was unaccustomed to this sort of a hug. She straightened her back with her hands hanging in midair, stiffly. After some time, she finally placed her hands on Song Ning’s back and patted her.

Huo Jinyan was also in shock. His face had turned ghastly pale when he first heard the news. He hurriedly asked when he saw the bandage on Huo Yao’s right hand. “How bad is it?”

Song Ning hurriedly let go of her daughter’s arm when she noticed the injury.

Huo Yao looked at how anxious her parents and third older brother were and shook her head. “It’s fine. It’s just a superficial scratch I got from some broken glass. It will recover in no time.”

Song Ning sniffled and looked heartbroken. Her daughter was such a sweet and thoughtful girl. She was acting tough so as not to worry them.

People kept walking across the corridor every now and then. Huo Yao cleared her throat and opened the ward door. “Come in.”

Song Ning and Huo Jinyan finally recalled that their son was involved in the accident as well and quickly went into the room.

Huo Yulin was walking right behind. Before he entered the room, he grabbed Huo Yao’s arm and asked softly. “Erm… I saw some pictures online and the accident looked very serious.”

Huo Yao halted in her steps. She turned to look at her worried third older brother and replied solemnly. “I am really fine. We managed to avoid hitting our vital organs.”

Huo Yulin looked at her up and down before he finally let go of her. “Okay.”

The two of them headed into the hospital ward.

Huo Xiang gradually regained consciousness. The moment he opened his eyes, he saw his father in front of him.

He was briefly stunned before he blinked and confirmed that it was his father.

He quickly recalled what his father told him last night and said, “Dad, I won’t ever do it again…”

Huo Jinyan went speechless.

Song Ning looked at her youngest son inexplicably. “Xiang, is there something wrong with your head?” She pointed at her head as she spoke.

Huo Xiang’s lips twitched before he quickly recalled the traffic accident and hurriedly sat up anxiously. “Where is Yao?”

“Your little sister is fine.” Song Ning sat down at the bedside and pointed at her daughter who had just walked in. The worry on her face promptly dissipated.

Huo Xiang looked at Huo Yao and realized that she was fine before he heaved a sigh of relief. The moment the car hit the flower bed, he thought that they were going to die. Fortunately, nothing happened to his little sister.

After feeling relieved that Huo Yao was fine, Huo Xiang wiped his face apologetically in fear. He said in a stifled voice, “It was my fault. I did not realize that there was something wrong with the car. If Yao didn’t take control of the car… I could never forgive myself.”

Song Ning and Huo Jinyan were stunned to hear this.

Huo Xiang told them what Huo Yao did when they encountered the situation and how she saved them.

Song Ning and Huo Jinyan felt worried listening to him.

“If not for Yao, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now.” Huo Xiang clenched his fists tightly.

He was lucky to have Huo Yao beside him when the accident happened, but he also felt guilty about almost having killed her.

Complicated emotions rose in his heart and he felt awful.
