Madam’s Identities Shocks the Entire City Again

Chapter 576 - Second Wave of Humiliation

Chapter 576: Second Wave of Humiliation

Seeing that Shen Jingyan had already arrived at the entrance of the Principal’s office, Qiao Chen’s hands and back tensed. She entered with him.

“Apologies for the wait. There was a jam on the way.”

Shen Jingyan started with the civilities.

The atmosphere in the office was rather heavy. Wu Jie’s mother and the other committee members were unhappy with how the school had handled the matter and had been pushing the Principal to punish Qiao Nian before they arrived.

Qiao Nian casually leaned against the seat and used her cell phone after talking to Wu Jie.

She didn’t say anything now, and Ye Wangchuan was calm as well. He was sitting not too far from her with an unreadable expression. He wasn’t using his phone, but rather leisurely sipping the water that the Class C Form Teacher had handed him.

Shen Jingyan saw his imposing presence the moment he entered. His heart sank right away…

With Ye Wangchuan around, he couldn’t have been called to the office for anything good!

But as of now, he had no idea what exactly he was here for.

Shen Jingyan felt extremely uneasy. His gaze landed upon the slender figure leaning on the seat not too far away.

It was October and almost winter in Rao City. The temperature difference each day was huge, and it was chilly today as the clouds had veiled the sun.

The girl on her cell phone was wearing a thin hoodie and an outer jacket that hung loosely by her shoulders. Her cap was on, and only half her face was revealed. Her lips were rather pale-colored but beautifully shaped, even when slightly pursed. She looked extremely easy in her own place.

“Oh, I was wondering who you called. He’s your parent?”

Wu Jie’s mother’s expression darkened slightly. She immediately made snide remarks once Shen Jingyan entered.

“You asked us to wait for him, and we waited. Now that he’s here, shouldn’t you give us an explanation?”

Wu Jie was actually a little flustered and even nervous when she saw Qiao Chen enter with a middle-aged man. But she did not appear that way on the surface. Although she was slightly tense when she first entered the Principal’s office, she eventually managed to hold it together. Besides the one time she lost her cool when Qiao Nian angered her, she had presented herself as a good student with her glasses on and few words. She looked quiet and gentle, which made Qiao Nian appear more disobedient in contrast.

So, even though Wu Jie panicked a little when she saw Qiao Chen coming in, she simply bit her lip and lowered her head. She didn’t make any eye contact with Qiao Chen, nor did she say hello, as if she wasn’t too close to her.

However, given her tender age, no matter how calm she was, she would still show tension. Wu Jie’s hands on her knees unconsciously gripped her clothes, and the knuckles of her fingers turned white.

Others might not have noticed this detail, but Ye Wangchuan was different. All her changes since Qiao Chen’s appearance were captured in his bright and clear eyes.

Ye Wangchuan did not expose her. He continued sipping his water every once in a while, waiting for Qiao Nian to deal with it.

Qiao Nian had kept her cell phone when Shen Jingyan entered. She looked up expressionlessly and greeted him. “Uncle Shen, you’re here.”

“The roads were a little congested, so I was held up.” Shen Jingyan was confused by the scene. He looked at her and asked, “Nian Nian, what’s going on?”
