CHAPTER 214

"I want us to fight him together. I want a joined or combined force. Together we stand, divided we fall."

Jade's smile only brightened after all that he said. "Aaawwwn, isn't that nice. I am still mad at you."

"Yes, that is something I would have to change but for now, nope. I refuse to give up on you dear," Xander informed her.

"I am sorry but working with you now…" He did not let her finish, before pulling her closer with her hand and crashing his lips on hers.

Unlike before when she granted him entrance, this time she remained unmoving, letting him kiss just her lips till he got tired. Even with that small bit, he knew he had stoked the fires within her, igniting her sexual frustration.

'I hate you, dragon Lord. It is no wonder father warned me about you.' Jade cried out in her mind.

Finally, he pulled back, looking deeply into her blue eyes before speaking to her with their face inches away from each other.

"Stop being stubborn, not that I do not like it, I do. I love it but baby I want you. And just like before, I would win your heart back. Come back to the office and take control of all that you own. Secondly, I intend to be fast and hard, and I need to know that you are here for me and with me to fight this battle together. Noted?"

"Am I to just agree with that?"

"Umm let us see… you need me, Jade. Whether you deny it or not. You do need me but then we can just play this game some more and see who wins. Lest I forget, your sexual frustration just began and if you think you can satisfy yourself or come to me when you wish, not that I mind but each time you have a taste of what should be, you only aggravate it when next it comes."

"Are you telling me this to scare me?"

"I am not, Jade. It is the actual truth. Why do you think Sky was like that when he hurt Jenny? Yes, his was just starting and all, coupled with the fact that they had long consummated their mate bond but yours on the other hand… sigh."

"I would take my chances. Rome wasn't built in a day, so also, it takes time to heal a wounded heart."

"I know. No matter how long it takes, I would always be here, waiting for you. Waiting for the time when you feel it is right to open your heart again and trust me. But believe me, I am so sorry and I really hope that it won't be long."

She did not give him an answer and then she pulled away from his arms, walking backwards till she got to the door, turned the doorknob and open the door, before turning around to disappear from whence she came.

Once he was sure she had gone, he released his breath. Then ran a hand down the length of his hair before looking out the window.

Once Jade was far from his house, she checked her watch and saw that the time had gone far into the morning. She had just recently learnt the bloody truth about the whole thing.

It wasn't that much of a new thing to her but then now her goals were doubled in terms of rage. She wanted to kill Zale for the calamity he brought on her family but now, knowing that he orchestrated the whole thing and was planning something similar, she had no other choice but to double her anger and hasten her plans.

"You want to end this bitch, Zale? Then be prepared to be ended by this bitch. I would show no mercy as you have not shown my people mercy."

Ignoring any other business, she drove off into the streets to a lonely road with barely any human being.

She had wanted to be on her own for quite some time now, to go into the woods to go and scream and shout at the top of her lungs but she did not get the time.

However, she could right now and she did.

Parking her car and highlighting it, Jade made her way deep into the bushes and trees and continued trekking, not stopping a minute till she got to the river bank.

She had found this place once with Xander but ever since then, they had not visited the place. It was a lake not too far from the mainland where she was.

Well technically, the lake wasn't too far of and was separated by a water body, a small flowing river.

Slowly, Jade moved to the edge of the water bank and sat down close to the wooden walkway erected there while she gazed far into the river below.

As she did, her thoughts began to run wild. It was as though just being there made them run freely.

Jade inhaled deeply, assaulting her nostrils with the smell of fresh grasses around and the lovely river scent.

Everything about what she felt from nature felt different somehow but in a nice way kind of different.

For some reason, she found out that her sense had heightened somehow. Before she could not see the lake clearly but now, it was like somehow nature had pushed it to her.

Not just that, her sense of smell had heightened as well as her hearing.

Everything was different but right now she couldn't be bothered by the cause, all she wanted was to feel it to the highest point.

Breathing and seeing all these things one way helped calm her nerves and the sexual tension her lover had successfully built in her.

"Hmm… I want to be free and I wish I could fly away." Closing her eyes, Jade made a silent wish, hoping it could come true and she would no longer have to be tied down to this life and its pain.
