On the way back to Fang Xiaonuan’s old home, she asked, “Did you find anything?”

Ji Lingchen did not reveal his true thoughts. Instead, he gave the answer his wife wanted, “No, I didn’t.”

In the next few days, Fang Xiaonuan worked hard to rid her best friend of his suspicions and to help her husband see what was real. Whenever she was free, she would visit the Liu family.
