Little One Tears the Villain’s Script

Chapter 99

Xiaoman’s Handicraft Class (1)

After singing the alphabet for many days, Jiang Xiaoman could finally somewhat sing it.

She was so happy that she wanted to sing it out loud next time for all the children to hear and let them all praise her for being smart!

But!

Cold water was soon poured on her burning spirit!

Teacher Yang said they weren’t going to sing the alphabet song anymore. They were doing handicraft lessons instead!

Although Xiaoman had worked hard for so long, she didn’t get to sing it and let others praise her for being smart. She felt like she a wearing a beautiful dress in the middle of the night where no one could see her. It was a bit annoying, but children were children, and unfamiliar things attracted them.

Yu Qingshi had also told her about the handicraft class before, but she hadn’t participated in one yet.

Jiang Xiaoman ignorantly asked, “What is a handicraft class?”

Teacher Yang thought that this child had never participated in one before, and patiently explained, “It is doing handicrafts to train the children’s dexterity. Follow Teacher’s instructions to make something.”

“What are we making?”

“We’re going to make a flower basket.”

Soon, Jiang Xiaoman understood what a handicraft class was.

Was this a game?

Children were born with this kind of ability, even if no one taught them.

There were instructions on how to make the flower basket. First, they had to find a used bottle and cut it in half with a pair of scissors. They then had to cut them further into thin strips and then stick paper flowers of various colors on them. A beautiful little flower basket was ready.

It was very simple!

This couldn’t possibly be a problem for Jiang Xiaoman. She followed Teacher Yang’s instructions and tried her best to make a flower basket, but her dexterity could not keep up with her brain’s ability to think.

Her brain knew how to do it, but her hands wouldn’t cooperate. At the end, she only had a few clean strips cut on her plastic bottle.

Of course, all the children in the class were like this. Teacher Yang had long been accustomed to such a scene and said very calmly, “It’s ok. Take them home and continue working. When you’re done, bring them to school to show me, and we can appreciate the results of your hard work together. Okay?”

“Okay!!” the children chimed together.

School was finally over.

Jiang Xiaoman pulled Yu Qingshi aside and asked, “Have you finished your flower basket?”

She wanted to get the small red flower, and Yu Qingshi was a competitor in her heart. She was here to spy on the enemy.

Yu Qingshi glanced at her and tightened his grip on his little schoolbag, afraid that she would show up with something weird again. He absent-mindedly said, “Almost…By the way, my dad is not at home. Recently, he’s been busy.”

Why was he telling her this?

Jiang Xiaoman scratched her head and thought about it. She guessed Yu Qingshi might be lonely. After all, whenever she had business and had to leave, Grandma would entrust her to the grandma next door.

So, Jiang Xiaoman sent him a friendly invitation. “Then, do you want to come to my house for dinner?”

“…Oh, no, thank you.” Yu Qingshi quickly explained. “I mean, your uncle is also very busy. I don’t know when they will come back.”

Yes, lately Uncle had not come home.

Jiang Xiaoman sniffed, wanting to cry a little bit.

That was the way she always was; whenever she felt like crying, her tears would come out right away.

After bidding farewell to Yu Qingshi, Jiang Xiaoman and Grandma went home.

Uncle was still not at home today, and the two felt a bit lonely.

The city was always quiet. Jiang Xiaoman discovered she occasionally still missed the days in the village.

“Xiaoman, do you have any homework to do?” Jiang Xiumei asked after dinner.

Jiang Xiaoman had been very diligent recently. Whenever she got home, she would write and draw and even said that she wanted to learn the English alphabet. But nothing of the sort happened today, so Jiang Xiumei was very curious.

“Yes, I have to make a flower basket,” Jiang Xiaoman said. “I should be able to finish it soon.”

Jiang Xiumei looked at her and wanted to help, but Jiang Xiaoman refused and tried to do it by herself.
