Little Miss Witch: Revenge of the Tainted Angel

Lin Meirong paced around her living room, thinking about what to do now after her confrontation with Li Xiuying. Li Xiuying had blatantly threatened her using her past, something she'd been trying to hide from Mu Jianyu. 

She was also upset that Mu Jianyu still hadn't returned her calls and didn't show up himself to her. Where the hell could he be right now? Surely, he didn't go back to Li Xiuying, right? 

Li Xiuying's words were ringing inside her head. It kept playing on her mind as if Li Xiuying was taunting her for being stupid. 

'Lin Meirong, who said we've already divorced? Have you seen the papers yourself?'

Shit. She would be in deep shit if Li Xiuying still hadn't signed those divorce papers. If Li Xiuying beat her to it and Mu Jianyu found out about her deceit, she would lose him for good. 

Not to mention the child in her womb that wasn't his. Mu Jianyu might really kill her if he found out about it. She wasn't good with dealing with men with psychotic tendencies. She had seen enough movies and dramas to know about the crime of passion.

This further complicated the things that were already messed up but why did Li Xiuying admit her awareness over her past? Was she trying to blackmail her with that information? 

Lin Meirong panicked when she realized how bad her situation was. She was deep in her own thoughts when the person she'd been wanting to dispose of showed up outside her doorstep. 

"Why are you here again?" She sounded annoyed and didn't bother to hide her contempt this time. She really didn't want to deal with him right now but Yao Qigang seemed unperturbed by her words.

A week ago, Director Yao took a hefty amount of money from her and she's got the feeling that the reason he was back was to ask for more. 

"I was kicked out of my old place. I need a new one." The man slumped lazily on the couch and took a bite from the sliced apples Lin Meirong hadn't eaten yet. 

"So?" She asked through her clenched teeth. Lin Meirong dreaded where this was going. 

Damn it, why's everything going wrong with her plan? 

"I need to rent my own place but I'm short of money." He told her. 

She knew it! It was about money again. 

Yao Qigang seemed to plan to suck her money dry until she could give no more. 

"How much do you need?" Was her next question. 

Lin Meirong had managed to save some money but she didn't know how much a house rent would cost in the capital since she'd been pampered that even her living expenses and place were provided by her lovers before. 

"Hmm… let's see how much I need again…" Director Yao rubbed his chin. "I think I need 15,000 RMB per month." 

"15,000 RMB PER MONTH?" 

Was he joking? Just what kind of apartment did he want to rent for it to cost her that much money? 

She had never imagined that Director Yao would be that shameless to demand such a sum. Was he renting some kind of a mansion for himself? 

"What? You don't want to? Just say so. I can just tell your secrets to Mu Jianyu myself and let's see how he would deal with you." The man laughed when he noticed the ugly expression on Lin Meirong's face. 

Lin Meirong trembled in rage. She was itching to scratch his face with her own hands but she wouldn't. 

"I can give you the money you needed but I have a bigger problem to deal with right now." She gave up and sat down at the other chair across him, weighing her options. 

"Oh, what could be the problem this time?"

She glared at him when he responded with a mocking tone. How dare he mock her when he was the one who'd been leeching and living off on her money these past weeks? 

Lin Meirong crossed her legs and looked outside, seeing the darkness of the sky covering the busy city.

"Li Xiuying knows about my real name and identity. I have underestimated that boring woman," 

"She knows? Ah, that's truly a big problem." 

Silence ensued between them as both pondered what to do next, now that the Li princess had stumbled upon Lin Meirong's secret. 

"What else does she know?" Yao Qigang asked her but she only shook her head. 

Lin Meirong wasn't sure to what extent Li Xiuying knew about her. "I'm not sure," 

"Then what do you want to do now?" He asked with a stern face. All the playfulness in his tone was gone once he realized the gravity of the problem. 

If Li Xiuying went out alone and found this info then chances of the Li family targeting him were low but it would be a different matter if the Li family was involved. 

He took a side glance at the woman who brought these headaches and problems to him. Damn this woman. Couldn't she play her cards well? She should have made sure she had total control over Mu Jianyu if she planned to keep him on her side. 

"I want her to shut the fuck up.. No… much better if she would shut her mouth for eternity. Without her, Mu Jianyu wouldn't have to choose between me and her anymore and I would have him all to myself!"
