Little Miss Devil: The President's Mischievous Wife

Chapter 290

The next morning, Shen Yi woke up with a wild hair tickling his nose and an urge to spend the stay in bed with his wife. He sat up and reached over towards Lu Xinyi, who was clinging on him, to turn off his alarm. Instead of waking up from the sound, she burrowed deeper in his chest which made Shen Yi aware if his, uh… morning problems.

However, damn, Lu Xinyi was too tired from last night. Her body might not be able to take another round this morning.

He stroked his hand over her wild hair, admiring the way it looked. He couldn’t deny his insatiable need for her body and soul. Lu Xinyi was the best thing that happened to him for a long time. For the first time, he was rather grateful that Gong Yijun and Li Qiao left him and Lu Xinyi. If it weren’t for their selfishness, he and Lu Xinyi wouldn’t find each other at that cruise.

Leaning down, he brushed her fringe aside and kissed her forehead.

“Xinxin, it’s time to wake up.”

Lu Xinyi mumbled something about five more minutes and complaining about being too tired to move. She slapped his hand away as if brushing away an insect from her face.

Shen Yi grinned to himself and reluctantly released her from his hold before making his way to the bathroom. He’d taken his shower alone and dressed in front of the mirror. Examining himself, he realized that he’d changed after marrying Lu Xinyi. His face was brighter, a rare smile would cross his lips once in a while, and he wasn’t brooding like he used to be. -.

When he finally emerged from the bathroom sometime later, he saw his wife sitting at the edge of the bed, blinking away her sleepiness while trying to tame her hair.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” She complained as she stood up and stretched her arms above her, giving her husband such a wonderful view.

Shen Yi looked away with a blush on his cheeks and coughed twice in his hand.

“I did. You said you’re tired so I let you sleep more.”

Lu Xinyi yawned and looked down to herself, realizing that she was bare and completely naked in front of her husband. She let out a high-pitched screech and took the robe at the bedside.

“Don’t look, you pervert!”

“For god’s sake, Xinxin! I’m already your husband. You don’t need to cover yourself.”

Her cheeks flushed deeper at that. She excused herself by going to the bathroom and telling Shen Yi about calling for breakfast. As she walked away, Shen Yi admired that plump butt. With her disarranged look and body covered with marks, he felt like she completely belonged to him.

“As she should.” He nodded to himself.

After taking their breakfast together, the couple went to Grace Palace Restaurant and found the Mo siblings waiting for them. Lu Xinyi had informed her husband about the intent of the siblings to sell Blue Haven to him beforehand.

“Are you sure you want to sell your restaurant?” Shen Yi asked for the last time. The documents for purchasing were placed in front of them. Lu Xinyi and Mo Liwei only needed to sign the papers, and Blue Haven would be in Lu Xinyi’s hands.

“Yes, I’m sure. I made up my mind. I admit I can’t manage Blue Haven properly, and our employees need someone who can take care of them and let them still work for our restaurant. This is my only wish, President Shen.” Mo Liwei’s jaws tightened. He really had no choice but to sell it while he worked somewhere else and help her sister raise the money she needed to attend Silver Leaf.

“Then sign it. Your payment will be released immediately once you and Xinxin close this deal.” Shen Yi offered a pen to the other man who was clearly nervous; as to why, Shen Yi and Lu Xinyi had no idea.

Mo Liwei took the offered pen, his fingers slightly trembling. He could only hope that Lu Xinyi wouldn’t back out from her promise.

He stared down at the papers and couldn’t help to read every word printed on it. There was surprisingly a lot of terms he couldn’t understand, but the list of what he could obtain and the deal between him and the couple were highlighted.

He took a quick glance to his sister who nodded at him in return. His hand moved swiftly and signed all the papers that needed his signature while Lu Xinyi waited for him to finish.

She then turned her attention to her husband, wondering why he put the establishment under her name. She had no idea that in this place, her name being a popular restaurateur that manages a chain of restaurants would start.

Once everything was settled, the two parties shook their hands to finalize everything.

“I hope you won’t regret this,” Lu Xinyi told Mo Liwei.

The man shook his head and smile.

“It’s alright. It was time for us to find and learn new things outside this small town,” he replied, “and Lihui’s education is also important to us. I can’t just let her talent go to waste. If attending Silver Leaf could help her achieve her dreams, then I have no choice but to support her.”

Lu Xinyi’s brow arched at Mo Lihui.

“You’re planning to attend Silver Leaf?” she asked.

Mo Lihui scoffed and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

“Of course! I cannot let you win that easily next time!” She then pointed a finger at Lu Xinyi.

“Lu Xinyi, you aren’t allowed to lose to anyone until I attend Silver Leaf! Don’t let others beat you before I do! I swear next time, I can make a dish that can surpass yours!”

Lu Xinyi devilishly smiled back.

“Then I’ll wait for that day to come.”
