Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!

483 Roy the undead reaper.

Roy stood tall and imposing atop the towering cathedral, his jet-black hair whipping wildly in the powerful gusts of wind. His piercing black eyes surveyed the throngs of people below with a penetrating gaze that seemed to have the power to unravel deceit and lay bare the truth in all its stark reality.

His lean, sinewy frame was clad in a somber black outfit that accentuated his grave countenance, giving him the appearance of a solemn reaper presiding over the frenzied evacuation.

With remarkable focus and unwavering precision, Roy employed his extraordinary inspection skills along with his X-ray vision, allowing him to see beyond the facade of the undead monsters lurking among the unsuspecting humans. The two skills worked in perfect harmony, granting him unparalleled insight into the inner workings of the creatures’ anatomy and enabling him to root them out from the crowd with ease.

“There they are.”

A triumphant smirk curved Roy’s lips as he located the positions of all the undead spies who had snuck into the county during the invasion. His eyes gleamed with an intense, focused light as he processed the information, his mind working at a breakneck pace to formulate a plan of attack. It only took a few moments for him to come up with the best way to deal with them, one that would not put the life of an innocent in jeopardy.

“I won’t let them get away with wanting to overturn the county. It’s time to teach them a lesson they won’t forget.” Roy muttered under his breath, his lips curling into a sneer.

Their treachery had been exposed, and it was time for them to pay the ultimate price for their deception. Worse of all, the enemy was in the dark, while they were in the open. They were in for a dreadful surprise!

“Let’s turn up the heat, shall we?”

With a swift and decisive motion, he snapped his fingers.

Shua! Shua! Shua!

As if summoned by a magical incantation, a sudden burst of sparks materialized around Roy in an instant, engulfing him in a dazzling display of fiery illumination. The surrounding area was awash with the scorching radiance of 26 tongues of emerald fire, each blazing with an intensity that made the air ripple with heat waves.

Those present in the streets of Constantine County – both humans and undead spies – were seized with a paralyzing fear that crept up their spine, their instincts screaming at them to flee at once from the danger looming above their heads. They looked up, only to be met with the surreal sight of a human-like figure encircled by a swarm of multi-colored flames.

Because of the brightness of the fiery tongues, his features were obscured, shrouded in a veil of blinding light.

The humans milling about in the streets couldn’t make out his appearance, but they could sense the raw, unfathomable strength that hung in the air, threatening to put an end to anyone he deemed unworthy.

The undead spies, however, knew all too well what was at stake as compared to the ignorant mortals. They could feel it in the very marrow of their bones – the flames were no ordinary flames but were infused with an unparalleled level of mystical energy, channeling the raw might of 9th-level magic. The very potency of the flames was enough to incinerate the most hardened of undead beings, leaving behind nothing but smoldering ashes.

The undead spies were forced to wonder, their thoughts racing as they struggled to comprehend the sheer magnitude of the situation.

“Get ready to feel the burn!”

But before they could even begin to process what was happening, Roy sealed their fate.

“W-What is this? Fire? I’m burning! Ugh, it hurts! Why does it hurt so much?!”

“I-I thought we were safe in our disguise. How were we found? Who the heck attacked us?!”

“No!!! I don’t want to die. I still have so much to do. Put it out! Put it out, please!”

Caught off-guard and unprepared, the undead creatures were left with no recourse but to suffer the searing pain of the flames. The flames melted away their disguise, revealing their true monstrous form and stopping anyone from helping us. The skeletons that they were revealed to be were unworthy of pity and help, after all.

The flames consumed their bodies, reducing every inch of them to ashes.

The surrounding crowd gasped in horror as they watched the gruesome spectacle unfold before their very eyes, recoiling in shock at the horrific sight of the bones and life essence of the undead spies melting away.

Roy, on the other hand, watched in triumphant silence as his foes were consumed by the inferno, his eyes as still and calm as a tranquil lake. His fearsome 9th level magic fire was no laughing matter – even the most impervious undead beings would feel its searing wrath if it caught them.

Suddenly, a series of notifications rang out in his mind.

『Ding! Congratulations, host! All the spies that have infiltrated have been annihilated!』

『The Mission “Eliminating Undead Army Spies” has been completed!』

『The reward “Divine Alchemy Knowledge” has been obtained! You may learn it free of cost!』

A wave of satisfaction and elation washed over him, as Roy began to absorb the Divine Alchemy Knowledge into his mind.

With a deep breath, he closed his eyes and focused all of his attention on absorbing the massive wave of information that was now flooding his mind. It was an overwhelming deluge of knowledge that threatened to drown him in its depths, yet he remained steadfast and resolute.

As the divine secrets began to take root within him, he could feel his head throbbing with pain, as if a sledgehammer had been taken to his skull, cracking it open to allow molten lava to pour in. But Roy gritted his teeth and endured the agony, knowing that the reward of mastering Divine Alchemy would be well worth the pain.

As quickly as the pain had come, it vanished, leaving him gasping for air and wiping the sweat from his brow.

Then, a notificationion rang in his mind.

『Ding! Congratulations. Profound knowledge of alchemy has been obtained!』
