Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!

205 An ancient legend

Arlo and the twins stepped out of their hiding spot and walked towards Roy side by side.

They were followed closely by Julian and the maids.

As they neared him, the system blasted Roy with shocking notifications.

『It has been detected that you have ascended to the 9th Mythical level of the True Mage Class, a level which the Master of Six Shadows, Ninam, failed to reach in his lifetime.』

『You have completed a hidden quest completed.』

『You will now be handsomely rewarded.』

『A chance to construct a second magic spell model in your magic sea has been granted to you.』

After going through these notifications, Roy’s eyes lit up in joy.

‘I can finally learn Ninam’s first song.’ he thought, unaware that several people were closing on him.

It was a magic spell that would grant him a doppelganger, a second life, and then even if one of his bodies died, he would be able to live on.

He would have learned it before constructing Ninam’s True magic spell model in his magic sea if there were no requirement to learn it.

Only a level 3 Fake mage could dabble in this art, so he mastered Ninam’s True Magic before it in order to push himself to that level. Then when he reached the minimum level necessary to master it, the limitations imposed on his magic sea by the True Magic Spell Model restricted him from learning it. That’s why he hadn’t been able to learn it so far.

But thanks to reaching the mythical level of the true mage class, this limitation was uplifted.

Now, he could add another magic spell model to his magic sea.

‘And the next magic spell model I am going to add in my magic sea is going to be Ninam’s First Song!’

Roy trembled in excitement.

『It has been detected that you are at the absolute peak of the body tempering stage and one step away from reaching the absolute peak of the mythical level of True Mage Class.』

『A hidden quest has been completed』

『As a reward, ancient knowledge will be shared with you.』

『Before the ancient battle that led to the downfall of many gods, an empire used to decorate the sky of the True World that was the combination of the seven great and all the small and fragmented worlds. It was ruled by four celestial families. One of the four families was made up of dragons. It’s said that their forefather had removed three limiters before awakening. How he did that was lost with time and eradicated from the mana database of the Major realms. But truth can only be silenced for so long. The way to remove the third limiter is to advance to the absolute peak of body tempering and True Mage Class before awakening!』

Roy’s eyes widened to the size of saucers in the blink of an eye.

“Removing the third limiter means I will be able to increase my stats to the peak of the aura grandmaster stage. Wouldn’t I be invincible under the aura Grandmaster stage, then? I will become the nightmare of rank-3 mages and aura masters if my raw strength reaches the level of Grandmasters. Even the youngest prince with his authority won’t hold a candle to me.”

Roy’s eyes burned with desire.

He wanted to remove the limiter.

And… he wanted to do it now.

『Ding! Would you like to advance to the 10th Mythical level of the True Mage Class? It will cost you 40k EXP.』

Just as he was about to say, someone placed their hand on his shoulder, distracting him.

“See. These are the kinds of fights I have been talking about. Such fights help you grow tremendously. You learned a new way to use your soul herding ability in order to slay your enemies, and your swordsmanship also improved. Congratulations!” Arlo praised Roy.

Roy turned to look at him. Joy laced his lips. He was showing his uncle a warm-hearted smile.

“I learned much more than that.” Roy, without clarifying what he learned, continued speaking to Arlo, “You were right; only by fighting stronger opponents can I find my faults, fix my shortcomings, and grow stronger. Thanks for showing me the way.”

He paid his respect to him.

He was the best teacher he could ask for.

He realized that only now.

As they say, a teacher for a day is to be respected and regarded as a father for a lifetime.

Roy didn’t know what it meant to have a father as in his previous life, he didn’t have parents, and in this one, his biological father treated him like a stranger. But he was sure Arlo treated him in a way better than a father would treat his son.

Arlo didn’t let him bend his back, nor did he allow him to lower his head, saying to Roy, “Don’t sell yourself short. I only showed you the road. You stepped on it yourself and then even walked so far. The efforts were all yours. I just happened to be the passerby who chanced upon a diamond in the rough because its shine attracted me.”

“Thanks.” Roy’s confidence was boosted upon hearing his words.

Julian ran up to Roy excitedly. “Watching you go up against the serpent and slay it wasn’t only fun, but I can say for sure, it was the best show I have ever seen!” He turned to the twins, who were just a step beside him. “Is that right, guys?”

Aydin and Maya nodded.

A show? Roy’s eyes twitched, and he turned his calm gaze at Julian calmly. It was almost too calm, to the point that Julian felt stifled when he looked at his eyes.

“Next time, let’s have you spar an aura beast by yourself,” Roy said to the poor little shaman who had run of magic paper.

The words that came out of his mouth were so terrifying that Julian felt as if cold water had been poured on his head.

Upon hearing his words, His excitement faded.
