I’ll Add Points To All Things

Chapter 166 - The Calm Sanque

Chapter 166: The Calm Sanque

For the next few days, Su Yang and Pool were busy preparing for the opening of the milk tea shop.

They applied for the operating license, got certificates for food safety management and food hygiene, the proof of health status, etc.

Since Pool was basically an unregistered citizen, Su Yang had to put his names on all the licenses and certificates. Pool’s unregistered status gave Su Yang an idea though.

‘Maybe when I go back to Jiujiang during the next holiday, I should find someone in the village to register Pool. Since we are opening a milk tea shop, even the employees need a health certificate. Pool doesn’t even have anything. If people find out, he’ll surely be reported.’

Su Yang and Pool also visited the shop opposite the east gate of Shanghai University. The landlord originally demanded a higher rent because he realized that they were both young, but with Su Yang’s convincing techniques, he easily got a 10% discount on the monthly rent without even turning on the additional effect.

After signing the agreement, Su Yang got the shop at a cheaper rent for Pool.

As promised, he gave Pool a portion of the startup funds and also put him in charge of three little monster beans.

Pool immediately bought a second-hand phone with the money. He asked Su Yang to register another WeChat account and transfer the funds into it. With the WeChat account all set up, Pool was now able to pay or receive money.

Then, Pool went to the supermarket to shop for decoration. He got some wallpapers, some ceramic tiles with easy installation, and some cool-looking paintings and wall lamps.

The little monster beans worked hard to install all the things Pool bought, and in less than two hours, everything was ready. The entire shop instantly looked a lot cuter.

Su Yang then took all the evidence to apply for a license for operating an F&B outlet. This license required officials to visit the site and the application would take a lot longer than other types of licenses and certificates.

Usually, the shop was allowed to operate while waiting for the application to get through, so Su Yang was not in a hurry. He decided to start the milk tea shop first before applying for the license.

Since he was not running a normal milk tea shop, he did not have the equipment to properly make a cup of milk tea and he did not plan to buy them either. Therefore, during the visits from the authorities, Su Yang decided to use the sticky note to fool the officials.

‘I hope the visit won’t last for three hours…’

In a few days, Pool and Sanque’s milk tea shop was up and running.

The name of the shop was “Try Everything Milk Tea”. Right after the signage was installed, Su Yang heard a beep in his head.

[Random Mission completed.]

‘Finally.’

Su Yang almost broke his legs from running all the errands in the past few days, and he did all that for a single Random Point. He even had to learn all kinds of strange, trivial health knowledge that was related to F&B.

Of course, he got something out of all the hassle too as he did a body checkup to prove that he was healthy. The results showed that Su Yang’s body was extremely healthy. Every single test met the expectations and he had Sanque’s roots to thank.

Once again, Su Yang realized how precious Sanque was. The wild ginseng could not just heal illness, but it could even regulate one’s health, and maybe even treat infertility.

After Pool and Sanque finally opened their milk tea shop, Su Yang did not sit back and wait for the money to come. Instead, he offered to help out at the shop on the first day. However, he soon realized he was not needed at all because there were barely any customers.

In the end, Su Yang and Pool started playing Gomoku in the shop. Su Yang won all the games but only because Pool was bothered.

At night, when all of them returned to the villa, Pool and Sanque looked like they were defeated. Even the three little monster beans lost their energetic mood and appeared like they might explode at any moment.

Su Yang quickly locked the beans in the storeroom.

‘Go explode inside! Don’t make a mess by exploding outside!’

Dispirited, Pool sat on the floor, void of any energy while Sanque crawled back to its pot and played dead.

Su Yang cleared his throat and said, “Defeated already?”

Pool shook his head but nodded right after. “I feel…This isn’t what I pictured.”

Pool’s smile faded. He sulked badly and looked like he might jump off the building. He was tormented not only because it was his shop, but also because he had invested Su Yang’s money in it.

Su Yang came from a normal background, and the money he invested in the milk tea shop was the money he had earned through hard work in the past two months.

If the milk tea shop lost money, Pool would not be able to get rid of the guilt and pressure even if he drowned himself in the swimming pool.

Compared to Pool, Sanque was much calmer. It opened its eyes and glanced at Pool. “It will get better.”

‘I guess being calm is one of Sanque’s best points.’

Su Yang nodded in agreement. He said after a quick analysis, “Sanque is right. It’s just the first day, and it’s normal to not have customers on the first day. As long as you do your part and deliver good products and good service, through word of mouth, the customers will increase over time.”

He also added, “Besides, don’t feel pressured about it because we started at a low cost, so we will eventually make a profit.”

Nevertheless, Su Yang’s words did not cheer Pool up at all.

Pool simply nodded and returned to the swimming pool. He then summoned a holographic panel from the swimming pool and surfed the internet for more information about running a milk tea shop.

He was so concentrated on researching to the point that he forgot to eat and sleep. Even when Little Hus went to the swimming pool to trade with him, he tossed the husky bolster out without a second thought.

Little Hus was shocked, terrified, actually. He did not know what he had done wrong.

While Pool was studying hard to improve, Su Yang had some free time at hand.

In the past few days, both his company and studies progressed smoothly. Even Lin Jiali spared him ever since that night. Therefore, he got bored at night and wanted to add points. He called Deeny and Gru over and asked them for their opinions.

Su Yang asked, “I have an extra Random Point at hand. Which one of you wants the point?”

Deeny showed desire in her eyes, but she shook her head. “I don’t want it. I’m quite happy with myself now. Give it to Gru.”

Gru boldly expressed himself by taking a step back. He looked like he was afraid of the point and he ‘Gru-ed’ repeatedly.

Su Yang looked at him curiously. “Gru, don’t you want it?”

Gru shook his head as if someone was a spinning drumstick.

“Why?” Su Yang did not know why Gru rejected the point.

Gru signed with both his twigs. He moved and flailed for a full five minutes, but Su Yang and Deeny could not understand him at all.

Su Yang said, “Hold on. I’ll get Sanque here to translate.”

He turned to Deeny. “Where’s Sanque?”

Deeny summoned a surveillance camera inside the virtual space and answered with a strange look, “He…is in the gym…”

Su Yang headed to the gym on the second floor. When he reached the second floor, he saw Sanque’s pot in front of the entrance and he heard loud bangs from inside the gym.

Su Yang opened the door to the gym. He popped his head over and saw Sanque in his eight-arms state! His robust back and shoulder were as big as The Rock, and he was punching the sandbag like a piledriver pummeling a mass. The sandbag looked like someone who had killed Father Ginseng.

Sanque turned around when he heard the squeaks from the door. His red eyes stared straight at Su Yang and it grunted, “Hmm?”

Terrified, Su Yang awkwardly smiled. “I-I’m sorry! I went into the wrong room!”

He quickly shut the door and ran! The killer gaze from Sanque was too much for him to handle.

‘Who the hell said Sanque was calm? WHO?! I’m SURE I didn’t say he was calm! *This ginseng is really cool on the outside and soft on the inside. He must’ve been defeated by the lousy first day, but he acted like he did not care…*If I hadn’t seen that with my own eyes, I might not have even believed it.’

Su Yang finally understood why Deeny reacted strangely when he said he wanted to get Sanque over.

‘Who the hell can move Sanque in this monstrous form?! Fine. I won’t count on Sanque anymore. Since I will get another Random Point and Gru kept shaking his head, I’ll add a point to Deeny first. I’ll add another point to Gru when I get the next one in a few days.’

With that in mind, he returned to the living room to add a point to Deeny.
