Chapter 860: Nervous Anticipation

Chapter 860: Nervous Anticipation

“The Genesis Hero is inside.”

Thump! Thump!

At Platinum Head’s words, Compass Carburettor’s heart thumped in response, his heartrate accelerated in response.

‘Ahh, I hope I pass this interview.’ A youth said in nervousness, controlling his jittery self as he controlled his walking, preventing himself from tumbling when the secretary called his name. inhaling a deep breath, he opened the door to the interview and entered. ‘Once I pass, I’ll finally obtain my dream job.’

Thuk! Thuk!

The train began to slow down as a station came into view. Seated on a berth facing the window was a man donned in a soldier uniform, nervous as he noticed the board for the station reveal a familiar name, his hometown.

“Has it been two years already? I wonder how much the brats have grown?” His voice turned emotional, anticipating his family arriving at the station to receive him. After being in a war for the past two years, he finally obtained the chance to come home.

When he left, his oldest was only 6 years old while his youngest was just a 2 year old. He missed them dearly.

Screech!

The train arrived at a halt as the man got up, picked up his luggage and got off.

Nervous Anticipation!

Compass Carburettor’s emotions turned strong at the moment, the strongest ever since he woke up, resulting in a resonance with the people in his Dreamland, causing the birth of a second Psyche Star.

Psyche Star—Nervous Anticipation!

He would have been in joy at the creation of his second Psyche Star. But at the moment, none of that came into his mind as he entered the room, ‘It has been seventy-five years since I last saw you, brat!’

Plop! Plop! Plop!

The moment he entered, his attention fell on a dragon plushie that awkwardly jumped on the floor and headed his way, stopping a metre before him as it lifted its rear leg and limping towards him before peeing like a dog.

It was using his legs as a lamppost to mark its territory.

Compass Carburettor didn’t move away upon noticing Platinum Head remain calm through it. Moreover, the primary reason was due to the fact that this dragon plushie was the sole entity in this room. Stencil wasn’t here.

The dragon plushie also peed on Platinum Head’s legs. And the moment it finished peeing, the figures of the two vanished, appearing in another dimension, one as big as a city.

‘This dimension has grown bigger since I last visited. That’s a good sign.’ He smiled before leading the way, “Follow me.”

Boom!

Compass Carburettor vanished before he could finish his sentence. Platinum Head stared at the scene and relaxed upon noticing the other party’s facial expression, “Thankfully, I was right. Despite the appearance change, he’s Stencil’s dad.”

“Brat!” Compass Carburettor bellowed as his figure appeared at the top of the hill where a house was constructed, the sole domicile in this dimension. He ignored the luxurious garden and the hundreds of dragon plushies flying around maintaining the place and opened the door.

The moment he entered, the figure of a teenager sewing a doll in the living room came into view. Jet-black hair littered with stars skin to the night sky, ones that glowed brightly, a pair of eyes similar in nature, ones that observed everything, and a thin body frame that was mildly malnourished.

It was a familiar figure that he hadn’t seen for decades now as Compass Carburettor’s eyes moistened in response.

His daughter, the Dragon of Systems, and the Genesis Hero—Stencil!

Though in contrast, the moment the Stencil noticed him, she turned nervous, throwing a doll his way that mounted an attack.

Bang!

Compass Carburettor paused, tanking the attack that didn’t even manage to touch him, stopped by a strand of his hair. He stared at his daughter, taking a seat on the floor a couple metres away as he only observed her.

“How are you?” A minute later, he asked, controlling his emotional upheavals.

Stencil though, didn’t answer. But a couple of seconds later, there was a subtle change in her demeanour as she spoke, “Uncle Compass, did you recover from your injuries?”

“Uncle?” Compass Carburettor tilted his head in response, “Is this what the rest have begun addressing me as?”

“Just the ones on your daughter’s side.” Stencil said, “Over the years, we’ve split ourselves into factions. And currently, your daughter’s faction is the strongest. Whenever the other factions controlled this body, Gehera attacked us. As she kept them all in check, we used the chance to develop.”

“So, those dragon plushies I’ve seen around were your doing?” Compass Carburettor asked, inferring a familiar energy signature between the two.

“Yes, cloning is the most common power from my world.” Stencil replied, “After I fused with this world for a decade and behaved as its collective consciousness, I became strengthened and was able to derive my world’s power and harness it.”

“To act as this world’s collective consciousness is the primary wager that your daughter used to win us over,” Stencil smiled, “Moreover, it raised our overall intelligence by a fair extent. The average intelligence of the Hero society is vastly superior as compared to a cultivation world.”

“My daughter would surface around noon, right?” Compass Carburettor asked.

“No,” Stencil shook her head, “She hasn’t surfaced for the past two decades already. She’s busy with the internal war. It’s us that are doing what she asked us to do.”

Her eyes shone with starlight as she spoke, “Even the invasion commencing in a few minutes is her plan.”

“What do you mean?” Compass Carburettor asked, “This world isn’t strong enough to take on the Invaders. That’s a world directly terraformed by the Invader System. The peak powers there are on par with a Grade 2 System in terms of strength. Even that Hero named Earth Star is only in level 50s as compared to a System.”

“Uncle, it’s a necessity to invade.” Stencil said, sighing as a result, “Your daughter said that she’ll solve our internal situation on her own. You needn’t help her. Besides,”

“The Invaders are the perfect whetstone to hasten our world’s development.” Stencil said in confidence, “So, just believe in us and see. By the end of this invasion, your daughter would win the internal fight and surface.”

“Fine, if she can solve her issues on her own, then I won’t interfere.” Compass Carburettor smiled as he arrived before Stencil, patting her on the head, “But, if you are facing problems, ask me, alright?”

“Sure!” Stencil replied chirpily.
