Chapter 852: Data Inferrer

Chapter 852: Data Inferrer

“Alright, so this blueprint is final, right?” A man in his late fifties asked as he stared at the figures of old man Mida and Muscle Lantern.

“Yep,” Old man Mida nodded as he stared at Muscle Lantern for confirmation. The confirmation wasn’t for the blueprint but for whether or not the Contained Villain was satisfied with this setup.

At the end of the day, the two decided to see how the Contained Villain acted in the Academy. Whether or not he truly helped the students would become apparent once the Academy opened.

Old man Mida had already sent information to the Hero Association Headquarters, informing them about Compass Carburettor. But strangely, there was no response from there about this, making him wonder if Compass Carburettor was the Contained Villain or not.

‘Considering how the Genesis Hero faced the Contained Villain, if Compass was one, she would have arrived here by now.’ Old man Mida thought, sighing before he stared at the man in his late fifties, “How long do you need to finish this project, City Scape?”

“Two days is enough for the construction. But, I’ll take five more days to go through the place and solve any structural faults in your design.” The man in his late fifties said. He was a Hero titled City Scape, with powers in line with construction.

City Scape was able to manipulate materials and shape them as he desired. Therefore, whenever a Villain wreaked havoc in a city, if the damage crossed a certain threshold where it would impair the lives of the people, City Scape would be summoned there.

And within a day, he would rebuild everything.

City Scape was able to create a skyscraper by selectively absorbing the relevant minerals from the ground. Though in most cases, the building companies brought in the necessary raw materials to save time.

B-Class Hero—City Scape!

He was one of the richest Heroes and also the busiest among everyone, always travelling from one city to another. He had a private jet that was pretty much his domicile.

Moreover, he was one of the few Heroes that had other Heroes acting as their guards. Two B-Class Heroes accompanied him everywhere.

Currently, the two guards stood a couple of metres behind him while City Scape talked with old man Mida and Muscle Lantern regarding the creation of the Academy.

While the project could have been given to a construction firm, thanks to gaining funds from Compass Carburettor, the two Heroes decided to go all out and made the Academy design even grander.

And as the Contained Villain wished to teach in the Academy quickly, they asked for City Scape’s services. Otherwise, it would take a few years for the Academy to be constructed.

“Alright, there doesn’t seem to be any issues in the blueprint. Good job in asking for my agency to create the blueprint.” City Scape nodded. He had an architectural agency that dealt with all construction-related issues.

They were comprised of talented people who worked behind the scenes to analyse the damage to a building and created the best means for City Scape to mend the damage.

And since they always had to perform their tasks in a matter of hours, the agency had evolved to make any design of construction as efficient as possible. This was why they finished modifying Muscle Lantern’s blueprint within a day to suit the grand changes he decided to add in the end.

“Alright, let’s begin.” City Scape said as he nodded towards a Hero part of his agency, “Make a hole around a depth of 37 metres.”

The other party nodded as he entered the plot where the Academy would be built. He placed his hand on the ground and unleashed his ability, causing a hole to form. It had a shape of a square, spanning a hundred metres in area, and reaching a depth of 37 metres.

The entire cuboidal section of earth flew up in the air as the Hero placed it on an empty plot.

C-Class Hero—Block Miner!

His powers allowed him to extract cuboidal fragments of earth and control them—similar to telekinesis. But his control was slow, making it unsuitable for battle. Therefore, he joined City Scape’s agency, working on excavating the land according to City Scape’s desires. This hastened their work by many times.

City Scape arrived before the excavated earth, placing his hand on it as he scanned through its contents, “Hmm, the soil here is metal rich. Instead of transporting them needlessly, I can create some decors out of it.”

“I have time until he finishes excavating the entire plot.” He spoke. The Academy plot spanned more than four hundred acres. And among it, around 150 acres was the building area. So, there was a lot of ground to excavate.

While the work was ongoing, Compass Carburettor arrived at the scene, staring at the process with interest, ‘The abilities of the Heroes are pretty interesting. They aren’t standard combat abilities but are pretty complex concepts.’

He recalled Muscle Lantern and Pink Jail’s power, especially the latter, ‘Pink Jail’s power is pretty complex. I wonder what sort of thoughts combined to conceptualise it.’

“The construction would be completed in a week, Compass.” Old man Mida said upon spotting Compass Carburettor, arriving before him to engage in a conversation as if they were normal acquaintances, “You can watch if it interests you.”

“I’m indeed interested in this,” Compass Carburettor nodded as he commented upon staring at City Scape’s work, “His ability is spectacular, especially the way he creates alloys out of the minerals present in the earth.”

“Do you have a sensory-based ability?” City Scape heard his comment and turned around to ask.

“It’s not sensory-based, but more of an experience-based ability.” Compass Carburettor said. Just by staring at a block of earth, through its colour, texture, pattern, the weight it had, etc., Compass Carburettor was capable of inferring the concentration of all mineral deposits within the block.

This was thanks to the information he now possessed in his Dreamland, a database that consisted of earths from various worlds. He didn’t unleash any form of energy into his target to scan their properties.

But just based on what they displayed, he inferred upon the vast data stored in him to naturally conclude. This was his information-gathering ability, one that would function even when his opponents shielded themselves using Skills, powers, etc.

After all, it didn’t scan them but inferred their traits based on the shown values, an ability whose accuracy increased the more the data stored in his Dreamland, perfectly suited to his growth.

Data Inferrer!
