Chapter 846: I’ll Help You

Chapter 846: I’ll Help You

Main Character Core Skill—Lore (Level 93)!

“Bastard, you were leading me on the entire time?” Valmor gasped in shock, unable to breathe as he collapsed to the ground, experiencing rigor mortis immediately after. All signs of life disappeared from him.

From the start, Arnark had been gradually leading him on using the power of Lore before going in for the kill. Due to a lack of data, Valmor was unable to guard against the power.

After all, only the Tell-Tale System had the power to counter Lore, nothing else.

“Now, to reclaim my fragments…” Arnark raised his hand to face Valmor’s corpse, intending to reclaim his Main Character System fragments when suddenly, he stared in shock, watching the Main Character System fragments and the Demon System fragments in Valmor’s corpse vanish.

“I see,” Arnark sighed, “So you weren’t doing nothing all along, huh.”

In the multiverse, the moment anyone displayed traits of going against their preordained fate, they were termed the Main Character. A Main Character System fragment would immediately appear within their body.

This was the principal property that governed the Main Character System and only this System had such a trait.

What Valmor had created was to bind the Main Character System fragments in his body to the Demon System fragments, harnessing that trait.

This meant that in the multiverse, anyone with the trait of a Demon would become one. A Demon System fragment would appear in their body.

Therefore, Valmor had already created a demon worthy of inheriting all his power, a clone of himself that would obtain all his power the moment he was killed.

Due to that, all the fragments in his body vanished the moment he died.

So, even though Arnark killed Valmor, he didn’t gain anything from the incident. Instead, the Demon System fragments now also retained the information regarding his abilities, allowing the next Demon candidate to plan accordingly.

“What a troublesome bastard,” Arnark sighed upon noticing that the Main Character System fragment was no longer in this world, “Indeed, he’s a schemer. But, I’ll see how long you can escape from me, Valmor. I’ll kill your inheritors no matter who they are…”

“Oh wait,” Arnark slapped his forehead, “This is a dialogue only the antagonist states against the protagonist. Damn, I almost reinforced his fate.”

Suddenly, Arnark frowned, his expression turning dark, ‘Why does this feel similar to facing Compass?’

“We must return first.” Saying so, he teleported next to Slayer, “Master, we should leave.”

“Yeah,” Slayer muttered, healing the depression on his cheek that resembled a palm print as he glared at the eye in the sky, “This bastard is stronger than me.”

“Are you running away?” The eye let out a burst of mocking laughter.

“Oh, I’ll return.” Slayer glared at the eye as he snapped his finger, causing Arnark and their army to enter his body before he vanished from the scene.

“That form…” The eye paused in shock to mutter, “It somewhat resembles our mode of arrival and escape using the Astral Network.”

“Slayer, this bastard!” Glaring as such, the eye vanished.

The world gradually returned to its function, treating the injured from the war. A day later, Valmor’s corpse wriggled in response before getting up, looking no different from a zombie.

Immediately after, there was a congregation of fate around him as the Main Character System fragment and the Demon System fragment entered his body, causing him to grunt as his body reformed into its pristine self.

“Gah!” He gasped for air, waking up with a start before panting in a hurry, “What a monster. He one-shot me in the end.”

Getting up slowly, he grunted, “Thankfully, I could revive with this body itself. If Arnark had decided to destroy my body, I would have wasted a couple of years.”

Of course, he had multiple revival methods installed in various universes by taking advantage of the Main Character System fragment in him. But if possible, he didn’t wish to lose his current body, for there was a lot he could still gain from it.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Valmor returned to his place under the waterfall, taking a meditative pose as he began to contemplate the recent battle, “Lore and Restrictive Order, huh.”

“Even being overpowered should have a limit, fuck.”

“Tell me your plan.” Muscle Lantern said, staring at the seated Compass Carburettor.

“Take a seat first.” Compass Carburettor pointed at the chair opposite to him, speaking after Muscle Lantern sat, “As old man Mida said, I’m indeed not from this world. But, he’s wrong to think that my goal is to swallow this world.”

“Wha…” Muscle Lantern was stunned, his mind short-circuiting as he was unable to speak for a few seconds. Having activated his trump card the day before, his intelligence took another hit, and hence, he was having a harder time processing things than usual.

In the end, he managed to collect his thoughts to lay them out, “T-Then, what exactly is your goal? Who exactly are you? Are you really the Contained Villain?”

“Contained Villain the entity my friend created by using a part of my power you see.” Compass Carburettor scratched his chin, “Contained Villain is a small part of me. But I encompass that.”

“Since you witnessed my strength first-hand, you should have a clearer picture of what I’m saying, right?” He asked, “In terms of this world’s classification, what is your strength?”

“B-Class Hero,” Muscle Lantern said, “If I hadn’t hit my limit after using my trump card too many times during my prime, I would have hit A-Class.”

“Old man Mida is at the peak of B-Class. You can say his strength is pseudo-A-Class.” He spoke.

“And the strongest of this world is an S-Class, right?” Compass Carburettor asked.

“Yes,” Muscle Lantern nodded, “We have classified Genesis Hero and the Contained Villain to a rank above that, namely the Special Class.”

“In my eyes, your power is on par with a Level 18 System.” Compass Carburettor said, “While that is good, it’s nothing in the grand scale of things, considering what Stencil is planning.”

“A Level 18 System? What’s that? And who’s Stencil?” Muscle Lantern felt confused by the direction the conversation took all of a sudden.

“Well, it’s a small story.” Compass Carburettor smiled and pointed a finger at Muscle Lantern, causing the other party’s eyes to widen in shock as suddenly, a vast stream of information poured in.

“Now, let’s see how it goes.” Compass Carburettor smiled, ‘You have the potential to grow stronger. So,’

‘I’ll help you.’
