Chapter 783: An Eldritch CC

Chapter 783: An Eldritch CC

The situation seemed appalling at first glance, but Compass Carburettor still retained the majority of his power, thanks to Hazen’s interference.

As he digested the essence of Domino Plottopia and Gahrat, he tallied the powers that he lost and gained in this ordeal.

One of the most basic powers that he lost was the Bullet Template. It was a power he obtained as a derivative of the power of Lore. And hence, the moment he lost Lore, the Bullet Template vanished too.

Thankfully, Bullet Template was an effect of Lore’s influence on his original powers. Arnark wouldn’t be gaining that.

The second beneficial power he lost was the Main Character Shielding. Though, he could live without that, for the majority of the time, his enemies still found ways to trace him.

The third power that he lost pained him. It was the capability to erase the memory of anyone that had evil intentions towards him. It too was a derivative of the power of Lore and didn’t survive the ordeal. Thankfully, Arnark didn’t get that either.

The Relic and all the powers it brought forth were entirely stolen by Arnark, including Aero Society. So that was a major blow to his face, especially since its potential was ginormous.

Secret Society was no more, leading to everything they attained in the various worlds out there being nullified. Any traces of power obtained by the Secret Society was absorbed by Arnark.

But thankfully, it seemed that Hazen had taken measures to ensure at least Dota survived. It was unknown as to where Dota had gone next, for even Hazen was unaware. After all, accompanied by Truck-Kun, he only had mere moments to protect Dota before rushing to Compass Carburettor’s rescue.

So it seemed Dota vanished during that time, its objectives unaware to them.

Therefore, he lost the System Punishment too.

Finally, pretty must most of what Gahrat had accumulated was snatched away, only leaving behind the dregs that formed the framework of her power.

It was these dregs of Gahrat and Domino Plottopia that Compass Carburettor absorbed into himself and evolved his powers.

He still retained the power of Anthozoa—the creation of bullets by compressing air and absorbing sunlight to create Mental Energy. The third was what he attained in Conjurer’s world. Domino Plottopia’s power resulted in the fusion of Anthozoa and Spirit Morph.

It allowed him to shoot bullets or Mental Fragments shaped into a projectile irrespective of his form. He could condense a mouth out of a tentacle to shoot out projectiles, create spores to shoot out buds, etc.

The power of Spirit Morph was thankfully fully retained, after all, this was a power he had made it his already. He only used the Main Character System as the means to gain this, and hence, it was still with him.

Spirit Morph allowed him to turn anything he stared at into Mental Fragments/Mental Energy and absorb them into his body. Secondly, his Mental Strength amplified the quality of his Mental Energy, strengthening his abilities accordingly.

It was here that his powers evolved.

The first was the mist he obtained. Originally, it was only able to trap Mental Fragments. But now, it had evolved to trap Systems too—even if they were in a Host.

So, since the System fused into their body couldn’t move, the Host too would remain immobile under the effects of the mist. It was a frightening evolution.

Up next was Punisher Lightning, which he also obtained from Conjurer’s world, gained when the world was trying to cleanse him from the world.

It allows him to cleanse himself from external influences. And depending on its power, it could help him be immune even against powerful Core Skills.

Up next was the power of Secret Society. Even though the original Secret Society was no more, it had now evolved into a different form, allowing Compass Carburettor to create Invoked Spirits en masse in any form he so desired.

Their character, intelligence, etc. were all decided based on the Mental Fragments forming them. Thanks to the power of Spirit Morph, he could turn Mental Fragments into realistic entities—people, nature, tools, etc.

They all acted with a collective consciousness, a sort of hive mind with him forming the core, always able to communicate with each other.

Finally, Gahrat’s power fused with his Dreamland, transforming it into a world that could grow without limit as long as he supplied it with enough Mental Energy. Moreover, he could also imbue a Dreamland into every member of Secret Society.

That wasn’t all, the true bodies of everyone—including Compass Carburettor—were the Invoked Spirits present in their Dreamland. This meant that their external bodies were just a physical housing.

Even if the external body was destroyed, the Invoked Spirit would emerge soon after, using Spirit Morph to transform the surroundings into Mental Fragments to recreate an external body. So, as long as the Invoked Spirit wasn’t destroyed, they would survive.

Honestly, even though Compass Carburettor had lost a lot of his accumulated power, he had also truly broken free from the influence of the Systems while still possessing the means to destroy them.

From now on, his growth wasn’t limited by the concept of level, sticking to a certain characteristic trait, etc. He was now Compass Carburettor, and that alone, his growth simply being an additive accumulation of Mental Fragments.

Basically, he had become an Eldritch Entity, one capable of consuming worlds to empower himself. That was his evolution that transpired after losing the Main Character System.

Though currently weak, his potential couldn’t be gauged anymore.

Only a few minutes had passed since he lost the Main Character System as Compass Carburettor had finished collating his gains and losses, already gaining full function of his form. A tendril extended from the blob and gently touched Hazen’s index finger, informing him that he was ready now.

And at the same time, Arnark had finished his evolution, having erased Conjurer to gain all his strength. Instantly, he reconnected all the worlds created by Conjurer to the Fantasy World, fuelling its growth rapidly as at the same time, Slayer became stronger, attaining the status of a Genre Representative.

In response, Arnark let go of his connection to Conjurer’s worlds, returning to his form as the Main Character, his lips curling up as he stared at Zaira, “Long time no…”

“Now!” Hazen shouted as instantly, Arnark became stunned, unable to move for a moment as Immortal took action, harnessing the entirety of his strength to unleash a sword beam that hacked the fate sphere protecting Arnark into two.

And through the crack, a mysterious power slammed into the chains binding Stencil and Gehera, transforming into Mental Fragments that morphed into the figure of Compass Carburettor, opening his mouth to unleash a bullet full of Punisher Lightning to send Arnark flying away.
