I Hate Systems

Chapter 564: She is Aware

Chapter 564: She is Aware

Until now, irrespective of whether it was a System Slayer or the Main Character, none were able to access the Astral Network. Therefore, they were never able to tap into that advantage available to the Systems.

Only System Slayers that had been taken over by the System in their mind and had levelled up beyond Level 50, becoming prey to the trap set upon them could access the Astral Network.

But by then, they were full-fledged Systems already, also wielding the advantages of the System Slayer’s power.

Even Compass Carburettor, the Main Character with the highest potential didn’t have access to the Astral Network.

Just this alone was a show of the confidence the Systems had in the Astral Network. But now, without their knowledge, there was an entity that could access the Astral Network like every other System, buy knowledge, Skills, items, etc.

She was none other than Stencil. To the Astral Network, she was akin to a virus, causing all their secrets to be laid out in the open.

So, no matter what the Systems plan in the future, as everything would be discussed in the Astral Network, Stencil could access them all.

This caused them to lose a terrifying advantage. And worst of all, they were still unaware of it.

After all, once she was saved, Stencil had been kept in his Dimensional Space all along. And as the Systems had traced Compass Carburettor’s footsteps to see where he might have hidden her, they failed to find anything.

After his death, a Grade 2 System repeated the same, confirming that there were no traces of Stencil.

Thereby, they concluded that she died along with him. At least, that was the first thought that they had arrived at.

But after the Tell-Tale System had predicted the appearance of another Main Character, they suspected that Compass Carburettor might have made preparations to bestow all his power to Stencil prior to his death.

So, they were looking for her. But the focus was largely on the Apocalypse World. As they were unable to find any information, the Systems were mostly in the dark and had to make do with guesswork.

Concluding his thoughts, Compass Carburettor closed his eyes, falling asleep. Soon after, faint sounds of his snoring resounded within the carriage, surprising Stencil that stared at him, ‘Dad began to snore?’

She didn’t know he had that habit, having not seen that before. Stencil gently sat beside him, observing that he slept like a log. But, she also noticed that the Mental Energy stream she directed at him was instantly absorbed by him.

It was apparent that he was guarded against danger through Mental Energy streams, a reason he could sleep like a log.

As she stared at him, Stencil blocked herself from emitting any Mental Energy streams, her eyes hardening in response as she looked around, her childish demeanour vanishing.

She closed her eyes, focusing on the horse that they rode until now. Invisible to the naked eye was a choker around its neck, controlling its movements.

And through it, she tapped into the nervous system of the horse, looking through its eyes, observing its surroundings.

Her abilities were all-rounded to a certain extent. She had the Earth Divine Martial Spirit, allowing her to use all elements to her liking. She had indeed unlocked plenty of them in the Cultivation World thanks to what Compass Carburettor had sent her after extracting Earth Martial Spirits from pitiful cultivators that he had captured.

And that wasn’t all. It was a secret but he had picked a couple of talented candidates from the Mysterious Academy that had awakened Earth Martial Spirits, reinforcing their minds a little before extracting their Martial Spirits.

Once their Earth Martial Spirits were sent to Stencil to tap into, Compass Carburettor made the two cultivators awaken once again. And upon seeing what he was up to, and since they already had a deal, the Fire Dragon helped from the Martial Spirit World, allowing the two individuals to awaken Earth Martial Spirits multiple times.

And each time, there was a different one. Eventually, Stencil had a Martial Spirit of pretty much every element that existed among Earth Martial Spirits.

Of course, since it was easily possible for him, and as it was something he wanted to do, why could Compass Carburettor refrain from doing so?

And hence, he had laid down a solid foundation for her.

Before that itself, Stencil had already fused with her three fusion materials. The first of them was her Personal Fragment—the choker.

And it was through this fusion that her Martial Spirit became her Personal Fragment, allowing her to take it with her and wield the power in other worlds. This was a trait of Personal Fragments.

Rhizen had done the same by fusing with the Restriction Order, gaining that trait of the Main Character that allowed him to do the same.

Otherwise, the moment they exited the Cultivation World, they would have lost everything gained there.

Her second fusion material was the Coordinate that was in her. And the third was Dota’s horn, giving her its powers to wield.

Basically, she was a System Slayer, a System, and someone with the power to destroy Systems. By activating the attribute of the Coordinate, she was able to transform into a System—Happy-Go-Lucky System and the Secret Refiner System—that she controlled using two of her three chokers.

And using the same, she was also able to transform into the Dragon of System herself.

Her Earth Divine Martial Spirit allowed her to control all sorts of elements. Basically, she didn’t have any weaknesses and could protect herself on her own.

Of course, she hadn’t been wasting time ever since she had woken up from her state of unconsciousness.

Accompanying her in the Dimensional space were three individuals: Gana, Dota, and Dita.

Dita shared her experiences from the Apocalypse World while Dota recounted his tragic past of how his race was destroyed in the Immortal World. Moreover, since he also had authority over Secret Society partially, he could also tap into the memory bank there. Finally, Gana recounted everything she knew about human nature and regarding Systems from her memory of 48 loops.

As they didn’t have much to do in the Dimensional Space, the three became her teachers, guiding and training her in everything they knew of.

So, even though Compass Carburettor treated her like a kid, looking at her through rose-tinted glass, Stencil was in the least naïve or innocent.

She was damn well aware of the state of things.
