I Hate Systems

Chapter 532: Looping Deaths

Chapter 532: Looping Deaths

[Hidden enemies! Don’t remain in a spot for more than a minute.]

This was the information contained within the seed. The shopkeeper wasn’t a spy but the batch of fruits he obtained recently was modified by a spy that lived on the outskirts.

This way, they wouldn’t be discovered so easily. And, the message through the seeds was something only those with the Heaven Martial Spirit of Lightning Lemur would be able to sense and understand.

This was one of the ways they smartly exchanged information. And as the shopkeeper was a normal person, even the Double-Faced Monkeys didn’t manage to find out about this information.

Unfortunately for the lady, the moment she arrived, she was already under the watch of the Double-Faced Monkey with peak cultivation.

And, it had already invaded her mind, going through all her memories to obtain intel regarding Straxia. Once all the intel had been obtained, it began to manipulate the lady’s mind, implanting false memories while also destroying the inferior System that had been formed using her memories.

The Double-Faced Monkey then exited the lady’s mind, tailing her while she did her job, transmitting false information regarding everything. Currently taking the helms was the Sleeper Cell seed in her mind.

And once the lady sent some false report, the Double-Faced Monkey refined her into a couple of bullets to feast upon later.

‘Transmit the images of the railway network failing to the minds of the spies.’ It then transmitted the information through Secret Society, making the rest of the Double-Faced Monkeys take action immediately.

Irrespective of the age, information was the key that changed the tide of war. And here too, the one that won the information war would end up the eventual victor.

Of course, Compass Carburettor had developed this network extensively just for this day. And after this, they would gradually spread across the various Realms to locate any and all Systems that would appear in the Cultivation World in the future.

Thereby, the Cultivation World’s resistance against the Systems would increase.

Once he lifted part of the Restriction Order’s effect on him, Compass Carburettor noticed that the Secret Society he had developed in the Darble World and the Apocalypse World had been eradicated. Even the budding society on Earth was the same.

With the various Luck-based Systems taking action, they stumbled upon his Secret Society rather quickly, dealing the killing blow soon after.

The members of Secret Society weren’t yet capable of killing Systems, not high-levelled ones. Only Beyonders were able to fight against Systems beyond the Hatchling Systems. And even for Grisha and Gana, that would be a tough task.

So, the regular members were eradicated; this included the Grogar and Haggon Empire in the Darble World.

Such was war, especially one that involved countless worlds. He was pretty helpless in that regard, especially when he was under the effect of the Restriction Order.

‘But, things would change eventually.’ He thought, seated in a Reality Marble, eyes closed, feeling the gentle wind on him. Suddenly, a stream of memories surged in him, causing him to understand the sequence of events that had transpired.

His self that he had summoned from memory had been killed by the opponent. “It’s fine.”

Immediately after, on the battlefield, the middle-aged woman with auburn hair gasped for air, panting weakly as she had just managed to kill her opponent when immediately, another jet-black figure appeared before her, casually waving his hand to end her life.

Boom!

Followed by a bolt of lightning, a middle-aged man appeared before the jet-black figure, “I’ll see just how many clones you have.”

“Sure,” The jet-black figure said as immediately, multiple energy blades expanded like the individual units making up a bee hive, transforming into a machine that slammed into the middle-aged opponent.

Two hands appeared, bolting the middle-aged man in the centre. In response, the middle-aged man transformed into a bolt of lightning and barely escaped from the clap that resounded as a thunderous boom.

The middle-aged man then directly slammed into the jet-black figure, exploding into a sea of lightning, killing both.

Immediately after, a jet-black figure and a lightning figure appeared, clashing with each other once again. In this way, dozens of Compass Carburettors and Straxia clones were killed.

But, they kept coming, clashing with each other nonstop.

The two armies kept watch of the scene with bated breaths. And when the first jet-black figure was killed by the opponent, they despaired. But upon seeing a second figure appear, they were happy.

But by now, having seen dozens of figures from both sides getting killed nonstop, they became numb to everything, wondering whether or not they were dreaming.

Days passed in such a fashion as thunderous sounds continued to rumble on the battlefield.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months as only the powerhouses on both sides kept watch while the remaining returned to their daily lives, preparing for another war.

‘So, if I continue to become the Martial Spirits of my Clansmen generation after generation, would I eventually reach such a level?’ Balmer pondered the same question over and over.

After all, the first time they met, Hazen claimed that he obtained Lord Gahrat as his Martial Spirit. And now that he had reached the Extreme Providence Stage, he understood that he too became a Martial Spirit that his bloodline could inherit in the future.

So, he wondered if the case was the same, ‘My abilities include dominion over flames, sky, and longevity. So, those that obtain me as their Martial Spirit would attain the same.’

‘In this case, does Hazen’s bloodline cause changes to their Martial Spirit? Is that their Martial Spirit’s trait?’ He wondered, feeling like that was a possibility.

After all, just as how his fusion material Attribute was longevity, the fusion material attribute of Hazen’s bloodline could be a genetic successor, allowing them to inherit anyone among their ancestor as their Martial Spirit.

“That is indeed a likelihood.” He muttered, sighing in the end as he continued to watch the fight, observing the jet-black figure kill the lightning figure before being destroyed by the newcomer lightning figure and vice versa.

The cycle continued to loop without any end in sight.

Author’s note: IMPORTANT~!!!

I’ve created a comic titled [Rage of Calamity] and joined a contest on www.webtoon.com.

If I win this contest, I’ll be able to write full-time and focus fully on my novels. Meaning: Increase in the update rate of IHS and PADS by at least one more chapter per day.

To win, we need as many subscribers, likes, and comments to the webtoon series. So, please help me and check out my most ambitious project to date, “Rage of Calamity”.

Webtoon is also available as an app on android and ios, so do help me. If we win, you’ll get more content to read starting from next month itself.
