Compass Carburettor heaved a deep breath in relief, calming his thumping heart that was pulsing in anxiety all along. But now that he decided and had taken action, his heart gradually calmed down. Whether he regretted this decision or not, it was already a done deal.

‘Now, my Arms have fallen down from six to five. And, since it became my Core Skill, Level 10 is the limit for Slave Harem.’ He sighed, massaging his forehead, understanding just why the Slave Harem System told him he had hit his limit.

Thanks to obtaining its Core Skill, he also gained an understanding of some things. The first of them was how Skills actually worked. The maximum level a Core Skill could reach was the same as a System’s Level.

And, the only exception to these were Grade 1 Systems below Level 10. In the System Community, they were called Hatchling Systems.

For a Hatchling System, its Core Skill could reach up to Level 10, even if its level hadn’t reached that. Even if it was only a System at Level 1, its Core Skill could still be at Level 10. This was the advantageous trait every System possessed.

At level 10, a Core Skill was already pretty powerful. So, it allowed the Systems to gain an advantage through their Hosts.

Compass Carburettor was unsure as to why such an exception was there, but every Hatchling System was the same.

And now, he was facing a headache. After all, when it was within him, the Money-Making System was at Level 7. So, it too counted as a Hatchling System. So, that was why he was unable to increase the levels of any Skill beyond Level 10.

Similarly, even though Slave Harem was a Core Skill, Level 10 was its limit. Once Compass Carburettor grew it to that level, he wouldn’t have anything else to use his Mental Energy on. After all, he couldn’t grow.

‘A True system Slayer…’ He sighed, recalling Fourth’s words as he understood what it had said back then, “When it was talking about having 5 System Fragments, it wasn’t talking about my Arms equivalent. Rather, it was talking about Core Skills.”

“Slave Harem is my first genuine System Fragment. The rest I possess in my Arms are just one-off abilities. Fourth wasn’t talking about them back then.” He muttered, only now understanding why Fourth chalked about it being hailed as a genius of sorts among their community, “Fourth meant it had killed five Systems and refined their Core Skills into System Fragments. That’s tremendously powerful.”

“And…” He then recalled the expression Fourth possessed while gazing at the System that looked like a spinning top, “That spinning top was probably a Level 1 or 2 System. So, it shouldn’t have any means other than its Core Skill to defend against Fourth. So, Fourth should have obtained a sixth Core Skill now.”

“Is Fourth already a True System Slayer?” He frowned, failing to understand, “Based on what it said, it still seemed to be waiting for someone. Was it waiting for its source System or someone else?”

“Well, if I meet it in the future, I would understand that.” Nodding, Compass Carburettor slowly got up as he looked around, noticing that the room was rather lavishly decorated. But, everything in the place was old and barely maintained, as if they had been left without maintenance for many decades.

“Lord Spirit, are you alright?” While he was prodding around the room, Hekatra woke up, asking as she rubbed her eyes. She was still tired but seemed to have recovered a bit, seemingly having been woken up due to hunger.

“Yep, I’m feeling weak and tired. But overall, there are no issues. Meharb’s plan worked flawlessly.” He nodded, slowly positioning himself beside the wall as he used it to support himself while walking.

“Let me bring you some food to eat first. We didn’t have much of a leeway to offer your body nutrients while giving it our all to pray.” Hekatra said, grunting once as she stood before heading out of the room.

An hour later, she brought a bowl of soup, saying, “This would give your body enough nutrients and is also easy to digest.”

“Thank you, let’s have a meal together.” Compass Carburettor laughed, saying with a happy tone as it felt like a large boulder placed on his shoulders had been lifted. He had been so worried that he had glossed over a fact.

He had defeated a System!

It was a feat that he hadn’t ever fathomed to be possible. But now, here he was, having made it a reality. Once Hekatra arrived with a bowl of her own, they ate their meal happily, perfectly relaxed as they didn’t have any more threats to be addressed.

The Haggons had retained their power while also being able to transform into humans now, able to live their lives contently. So, it was full of joy for them.

Once they finished their soup, Hekatra asked after thinking for some time, “Lord Spirit, what is your plan next?”

“There are a couple more things I have to do here,” Compass Carburettor said, listing everything he had thought of, conveying it through telepathy, “I now have the Skill of Slave Harem. Using that, we can enter the remaining two Level 5 Dungeons and turn the Dungeon Monsters there into members of Secret Society.”

“But, that’s after I also turn the regular Haggons here into members.” He said, “Of course, as to how you wish to treat or manage them, it’s entirely up to you. I won’t interfere in anything since I’m not even a proper resident of this world.”

“My second plan is to attain the Realm of Transcendence.” He sighed, “I’ll have to rely on your guidance, Hekatra. Please train me so that I would become strong enough to fight tough battles on my own. At my present state, I cannot even walk properly in my Haggon form.”

“And finally,” He said, “I’ll be leaving this world. But, this isn’t on my hand since I’ll have to rely on the other System Users in this world for that. So, after some training, we’ll have to start preparing…”

“To make those System Users resistant to vanity so that their Systems would decide to return to the System World.”
