Chapter 168 - A Husband's Spar With The Assassin And Other Disciples!

What Kyoya said wrongly was that he uses both knives on his assaults. When he took these out, the assassin's eyes narrowed as he began to scrutinize these knives. Of course, these were knives worthy of a 15th floor adventurer.

However, these two knives were the same and didn't contribute much to Kyoya's battle style. It was the first thought that appeared within the assassin's mind. He then gestured to Kyoya to attack him while taking his own battle stance.

His knife went behind his back.

There was no need for any announcement as the assassins worked in the shadows! Kyoya also wasn't stupid enough to shout out about his dash. He waited for a perfect moment, but it was a futile attempt against such an experienced individual.

Regardless of that, Kyoya did a good job by beginning the spar with faint!

After Kyoya sprung forward, his whole posture displayed a desire to cut the man's arm with his right hand that held the knife. However, once the husband got close to the assassin, his body spun as he went for the left knife cut!

Clang! Clang!

As it was kinda expected, Kyoya's first slash got stopped by the assassin's knife. This didn't mean that Kyoya would just stop or distance himself! Using the acceleration from his previous spin, Kyoya added another slash from his right hand!

This got parried too by the assassin, all with one knife! He did two swift counters, but any outsider would be able to tell that much more counters were needed here as Kyoya was ready to show his full strength!

It was because he truly wanted to get stronger.

He had been training with stronger adventurer Rosa frequently because their styles were kinda similar. Of course, it was just husband's deceive skill and Rosa's battle dance that were similar, but it was a pleasure to train with her as Kyoya could see his strength grow clearly by sparring with her!

So he knew the importance of meeting stronger people and seeking guidance. It was not only a battle that polished one's abilities! Thus, when Kyoya felt all his attempts getting countered, he just smiled and continued to show more of his knives' strength. There was no point to show more of his abilities, such as Deceive Execution Skill or knife throws as Kyoya wanted to learn close combat first. Of course, it changed a little when the assassin asked another question.

"Why do you go for two knives?"

"I don't know… It's probably because I am also good at knife throws."

"Show me."

The husband nodded to this request, his feet kicking the ground! He distanced himself a little and exactly during this flight his knives left his hands as he threw them. Kyoya's weapons tore through the air like small rockets. It was clear that Kyoya was indeed training knife throw and even had concepts for it!

But the assassin just muttered something and slightly leaned forward. His knife struck the first incoming rocket by precisely aiming at the tip. This made the knife spin in one place slow enough to allow the assassin to grab the new weapon.

Using the newly acquired knife, the man just threw it at the second knife in the blink of an eye, completely stopping Kyoya's assault.

"I already have a rough image of your battle style. But I need to see more, so come."

"Yes, I will show you a little more then."

"Feel free."

Kyoya's step forward was one of the biggest steps that changed his whole battle style!

As the long spar between the assassin and the husband ended, both of them headed a little deeper in the unknown area. For now, Kyoya wasn't really intimidated by the fact that he was in the forbidden land solely because it was an amiable looking floor. If he had to use one sentence, then it would be 'A world where a human's hand had yet to touch'.

it was just a little foggy, but the husband's eyes were far better than many and he could see that it was just a normal forest for now. There was also a huge peak far, far away from him, but Kyoya knew that he already reached his destination.

"This is my current place."

"You live with nature."

"Right, it kinda suits my old age, doesn't it?"

"It does."

There was a small cave in front of the husband. His and Akaro's eyes also could spot a small bonfire and two adventurers that were preparing sausages within its embrace. The husband's appearance was also spotted by these two adventurers.

It was a man who looked in his early twenties and woman whose appearance was ripe as she seemed in her thirties. Kyoya's eyes hit their ages accurately and so he greeted them with small respect as they were 'somewhat' older than him. He didn't really feel like speaking differently, so he just spoke with a faint smile like usually he would do to his friends.

"Nice to meet you all."

"Hi."

"Hello, there is a free seat."

"Thanks."

They only spoke after greeting the assassin! Kyoya also waited for the man to say something, but he just nodded and took out a chair for himself while the rest kept their bottoms on the wood logs.

"Four disciples is what I want, so he is the last. All of you will be training under me until I find your results satisfactory."

Everyone was ready to accept any kind of training as the strength ruled over the world pillar's floors. It was their golden chance to learn the strong and influential Assassin Craft, so no one felt like leaving before learning sufficient abilities.

All gathered disciples nodded and then Kyoya got sausage from the lady next to him. He thanked her and shoved it up into the bonfire.

"How long has it been since he left?"

"It's been more than two days already."

"If it's two days then we can't strike him off from the list."

The assassin spoke about the fourth disciple that was not present in the hidden camp. This man was out to perform one of the tasks provided by the assassin himself, so Kyoya naturally asked about it with his eyes.

Soon enough, an answer rang out in his ears.

"He is on the task to kill 20th floor adventurers that reside around the Grooma Kingdom's capital."

"What the…"
