I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 288 - Blood Violetgrass

Elegant, graceful, charming, and charismatic found themselves in one body, a perfected being—or rather, a perfected appearance.

Such unnatural perfection could not be found in humans, but to the elves, his appearance was royal than royalties themselves.

As such, the chances of elves mistaking him as some pureblooded royal prince was high.

Nevertheless, none of that appeared on Fenriri's mind as she thought out loud, "Master can change into an elf, but what about Fenriri?"

"You'll be fine as is. You have yet to expose your appearance from under that cloak of yours. Thus, if we bump into the same elves as before, they won't be able to relate you to the same person they've seen if you reveal yourself," Albion casually stated.

With no actual knowledge of elven tradition and culture, the best way to enter the elf tribe is to do so openly and confidently with a false identity—for example, an elf from a different tribe.

"But wouldn't it still seem suspicious for a wolf-person and elf to be seen traveling together?" Fenriri raised her doubt before adding, "The chance of the elf tribe having other wolf-people around is exceedingly low, Master."

.

"Who said we are pretending to be from their tribe?" Albion questioned Fenriri nonchalantly.

"We…aren't?"

Fenriri was stunned.

"Of course not," Albion shook his head with a smile and said, "We know nothing about their elf tribe. Our impersonation as one of them will be easily seen through."

"That's why we will be visiting as people from another tribe—or rather, another city. Have you already forgotten about Blue Wyvern City in the Netherfrost Blizzard Realm?"

Having said that much, Fenriri finally understood Albion's intention as her eyes brightened in realization.

"Master is talking about the city with the big barrier that cut off half your hair and had tons of interesting and delicious food, Master? Fenriri understands. There were also elves in that city."

"That… Well, yes, but why do you have to recall that loss hair incident? It's fine if you just remember the food and people there…" Albion rubbed his head wryly before saying, "Anyway, you should know how to act with that much said, right?"

"Yes, Master!" Fenriri nodded.

"Good."

Albion and Fenriri's figure gradually disappeared as they ventured into the depths of the rainforest and headed towards the towering World Tree.

Meanwhile, the elves released by Albion quickly made their way back to their tribe with haste. The leaves and wind whistled as they darted from tree branches to tree branches.

"Captain, are we just going to report back to the king like this?" One of the male scouts brought up the matter.

"You should have let one of us stay behind to spy on that human's movements. Besides, that human did not seem that much stronger than us."

"Right?" another male elf nodded before adding, "That human might just be posing as the Dark Emperor to intimidate us."

"After all, True Immortals cannot stay in the lower realms. If such a powerful being resides in the lower realm instead of ascending, the heavenly laws from above will descend and suppress the being's mobility."

"Yeah, take a look at our revered Guardian Deity. The Guardian Deity is also an existence at the level of True Immortality, but the Guardian Deity rarely moves since it opened up its spiritual wisdom," another elf added.

Screech!

The female elf slightly slid along a tree branch as she abruptly halted her movements.

After frowning in thought for a moment, she said, "You do have a point, but how can you compare a divine tree to a person?"

"It's not a simple task to imitate a True Immortal's aura. Also, don't forget that the heavenly law's suppression can be avoided by suppressing one's cultivation or go into deep slumber like our Guardian Deity."

With that said, the male elves no longer argued with their captain as they were silenced with startled looks.

"Captain Estel is always the wiser one. If we had acted rashly with our limited knowledge, we might have lost our lives to the Dark Emperor."

"Alright, enough of that. Our job is to report the information to the king," Estel calmly stated before adding, "Any more than that exists outside our authority and capability."

"Yes, Captain."

Shortly after, the group of elves resumed their journey to the tribe.

Somewhere in the Armentia Rainforest's inner region…

Ding!

<You have killed a Lv.6 Pit Viper>

<You have gained 60 EXP>

"Master, this is already the 25th snake we encountered since entering the forest, not to mention dozens of other insects and hostile animals that attacked us along the way! Why are they so aggressive?" Fenriri complained.

"It doesn't matter why they are so aggressive. Just treat it as training experience," Albion casually stated before glancing around casually.

Seeing how animals and insects have gained levels, he guessed their aggressive behaviors resulted from being drunk on power after tasting it through their hunts on other prey.

However, they picked the wrong opponents this time and courted death.

Fenriri had no complaints about killing every hostile creature she encountered, considering she grew stronger with every kill.

Nevertheless, she found it wasteful that they did not keep the carcasses.

As they continued on their way, the environment ahead quickly changed as if there was a clear dividing line separating the biomes.

The flora completely changed, but more importantly, the spiritual energy in the area was richer, making all the plants and trees fresh and lively. Even ordinary yet lush patches of grass in this new area could all be used for medicine and alchemy.

By comparison, the trees and plants in the previous region seemed dead.

"So this part of the forest came from the same world as the elf tribe and the World Tree, huh? It seems like there are plenty of spirit herbs to be found in this new area."

Albion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

Shortly after, his eyes locked onto a patch of purple-red grass beside a big oak tree and quickly recognized its properties.

"Grade-1 Blood Violetgrass?" Albion muttered.

Grade-1 Blood Violetgrass was not high in quality, but they were very common and easy to find.

If Albion refined them into Grade-1 Blood Spirit Pills, he could easily raise an army of Foundation Realm Martial Artists out of ordinary and untrained people.

But was he bothered to do such a tedious thing?
