I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 191 - Sudden Change

Pshh—!

Shortly after, poison gas began spreading into the enclosed passageway from small openings and holes in the walls before the group of hunters were alarmed.

"It must be the poisonous gas mentioned from the other team! Don't breathe it in!" A Hunter quickly warned.

"Ahhhh—!"

The hunters quickly held their breath and covered their noses, but a hunter was quick to wail in pain and horror!

"My hand! My hand is melting—Ahhhh!" The Hunter cried as he saw his exposed flesh melting like plastic by the poison gases as if it was highly corrosive acid.

"What! This poison isn't the same!" A Hunter's eyes widened in shock before he quickly urged, "Use your abilities! Don't let the poison gases make contact with your skin!"

"How despicable! Just what kind of horrifying poison is this?! I've never seen anything like this before!"

The Hunter was greatly shocked.

Nevertheless, they did not hesitate to group tightly together and use their special abilities to ward off the poison gases from them.

A fire wall was summoned on one side, an ice wall on another, strong breezes blew the poison gases back into their holes, and the earth sealed them off afterward.

"Seems like we are safe for now," a Hunter stated after assessing the situation.

Shortly after, the group of hunters shifted their attention back to the infected Hunter and realized the entire person had been reduced to a puddle of blood.

Gasp!

The Hunters drew a sharp breath.

"How overbearing! Whoever invented this type of poison is absolutely insidious!" A Hunter angrily denounced.

All the Hunters felt their scalps tingled.

If the Hunters had reacted slowly, they could have ended in the same situation as the infected Hunter—to become a puddle of blood.

"This is no ordinary poison gas… I don't believe just anyone can come up with poison like this…" The head of the Newman family, Victor Newman, commented with a frown while studying the puddle of blood.

"Right," The head of the Gu family, Gu Shaotian, nodded gravely before speaking, "Only a person or family, who have done intensive research in the art of poison-making, could have come up with something like this…"

"Which Poison Family could have come up with something like this?" A Hunter from the Vinci family asked.

"Not necessarily a Poison Family. Even a talented chemist or bio-researcher could have been the one behind if studied intensively," Gu Shaotian stated before adding, "What's important is the key substance in the poison-making."

As the Gu family Head spoke and pointed at the puddle of blood, the Hunters glanced down before noticing a bubbly green substance within the mix.

"The f*ck… is that?"

"The main component of the poison, I'd assume."

Shortly after, the head of the Vinci family, Speranzio Vinci, furrowed his brows and said, "Whoever is conspiring with the Abestel family, we can find out later. What's pressing is for us to get out of here as soon as possible!"

"Mr. Speranzio is correct," a Hunter from the Waldschmidt family agreed before stating, "It is disadvantageous for us to remain trapped in this passive state while the enemy has the initiative."

Meanwhile, Chief Waiyu and his group had the entire Abestel family's estate completely encircled and sealed off.

The Abestel family's estate was located on a small hill away from the city's bustling streets and was surrounded by a grassy field.

It used to belong to Bloodmoon Gang's Branch Leader before it continuously switched hands in the past few days after the person's untimely death.

"Chief Waiyu, something is not right," Sum Gai mentioned before stating, "The building is too quiet! There's no sound of battle!"

"You're right, Officer Sum!"

Chief Waiyu nodded after noticing the peculiar detail before he frowned with a pondering look.

"Do you think the battle ended, Chief Waiyu? Or perhaps, the battle has been moved elsewhere—the underground, for example," Sum Gai asked while making guesses.

Chief Waiyu's eyes suddenly flickered.

"Have the men tighten the encirclement," Chief Waiyu order before saying, "We will move closer and try to gauge the situation within the walls."

"Yes, Chief Waiyu!" Sum Gai complied.

Click!

After taking a few steps, Sum Gai suddenly froze on the spot after hearing the click in the ground before he began breaking into cold sweats.

"Don't move!" Chief Waiyu hollered at the same time.

Sum Gai turned his head back nervously and asked, "C-Chief Waiyu, do you think I just stepped on a landmine…?"

However, it did not take long before the ground began rumbling!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosion quickly went off in the distance before the entire Abestel family's estate was swallowed in flames!

Boom! Boom!

The burning building crumpled following the collapse of the ground that began spreading to the rest of the hill!

"Move!"

Chief Waiyu shoved Sum Gai and investigated the click source before he realized out loud, "It wasn't a landmine, it a detonator!—And it doesn't seem to be the only one either!"

"Have everyone retreat from the hill immediately!" Chief Waiyu barked urgently.

"What! Why would there be detonators out here?!" An officer cried in shock.

The police officers reacted quickly, retreating before they got swallowed by the collapsing hill—only sighing with relief after they were safe by the sideroad.

"That was absolutely insane! Such meticulous planning!"

"Nooo—!"

The big explosions caused cracks in the walls in the underground passageway before poison gases flooded back inside the enclosed passage!

At the same time, the ceiling collapsed on top of the Hunters from various top families and buried them with the poison gases!

It was unknown if anyone was able to survive the aftermath!

Rumble…

In another location of the underground passageway, further away from the collapse, the walls and ceiling shook, and cracks quickly formed before the Abestel family's main force glanced back in shock!

What!

"Why is the explosion set off so early?!" A high-level Hunter cried.

Seeing the collapsing passageway quickly approaching from the distance, the Abestel Family Head roared, "If you don't want to be buried, run!"

"Ahhh, noo—!"

"Dammit! We've been used—Ahhh!"

The passageway collapse caught up too quickly and swallowed the Abestel family's main force, one person after another, before they were all buried without exception—their fates, unknown.
