I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 173 - Blackthorne Group

Whether it was due to Albion's confidence or charisma, his words quickly made the two little girls felt at ease amidst the ongoing chaos.

"Boss, why are they all fighting?" Little Wuxin asked curiously.

"Them?"

Albion casually glanced outside.

The people were obviously fighting because he made them fight. But at its root, they would have fought anyway if the situation was not a one-sided massacre.

"Let's put it this way; there's only one big cake, but everyone wants it. That is why they are fighting for it," Albion explained.

"But can't they just share it?" Little Wuxin wrinkled her brows.

"Ah, you see. No one wants to share it. Everyone wants to take it for themselves, even if they lack the strength to own it decisively," Albion stated.

"Why do people have to be so greedy?" Sally frowned.

"Greed is inevitably part of human nature. It is what drives the world's development, but at the same time, the very thing holding it back."

Too much of anything was always self-destructive.

"Anyway, none of them will get the cake," Albion added nonchalantly.

"How come?"

Wuxin and Sally were both curious.

"Because the cake belongs to our group," Albion grinned before stating domineeringly, "Since I have chosen to settle down here, the city naturally belongs to me."

"What is our group called, boss?" Wuxin asked.

"Our group is called—hm…" Albion suddenly paused and lapsed into deep thoughts. Come to think of it, this faction did not have a name.

"Hm…? What a strange name…" Wuxin muttered.

"Hm…"

Albion pondered.

Since he was no longer the Dark Emperor and the Ashura Group is currently under a different person's control, he needed to form a new group.

And this new group, which will be the main body and incorporate all the smaller groups under it, will need a name.

"Blackthorne Group," Albion stated.

"Blackthorne Group? Is there a special meaning behind the name, boss?" Sally asked with surprise.

"I wonder…" Albion smiled and said, "I'll leave it up to figure out the special meaning behind the name."

"Yes!"

The little girl immediately pondered deeply, but for long, before the walls of the VIP booth were suddenly smashed down and caused her to jump in fright.

Boom!

A pair of men threw themselves onto the floor inside before getting back up and continued to battle each other intensely with great bloodlust.

Their strengths were evenly matched after the Gu family's subordinate was weakened by poison, and it was unknown which side would win between the two men.

However, another member of the Abestel family shortly arrived and turned the tides of the battle against the Gu family's subordinate's favor.

Crunch… Crunch…

The subtle sound of chewing popcorn was heard before both sides retreated with a startled expression and shifted their attention to the source.

"Oh, don't mind us and continue. We are just spectators," Albion casually said while reaching out his hand to grab another handful of popcorn from the popcorn box in Little Wuxin's hands.

"Help me!"

The Gu family's subordinate immediately cried for assistance, believing that everyone else are allies if they are not affiliated with the Abestel family and Metti group.

Swoosh~!

One of the Abestel family's subordinates lunged at Albion while the other continued to target the Gu family's subordinate.

Albion's expression darkened immediately.

He raised his foot and roared, "I said that we are just spectators! You don't attack the spectators!"

BOOM!

An entire side of the auction house exploded was immediately torn down after the Abestel family's subordinate shot out lit a cannonball, tearing down all the VIP booth's backside along with all subsequent walls on his way out under the force of Albion's kick.

Only a bloody mess was found a dozen broken walls and several buildings way from the auction house.

The Abestel family's subordinate was deader than dead.

The remaining Abestel family's subordinate and Gu family's subordinate gazed at the gaping holes in the walls with wide eyes before looking back at Albion in shock.

"Get lost!"

"Y-Yes!"

The two men immediately scurried off and took their battle elsewhere.

At the same time, Wuxin and Sally's eyes sparkled with awe at the almighty strength that Albion displayed.

"Boss is so strong!"

"Woah—!! Can we also become strong like you, boss?" Sally asked with sparkling eyes.

If she was strong like the boss, would anyone still be able to bully her and her orphanage family?

Albion glanced at them and smiled, "Of course—Not!"

The little girl's excitement immediately took a slight dip.

However, Albion was not finished and continued speaking, "You can never be strong like me, but you can still be stronger than everyone else. It depends on how much effort you put into training."

"Ooh! Wuxin will promise to work hard!

"Sally too! Sally will work hard!"

The two girls were quickly excited again while clenching their small fists with determined gazes. Only time the heights of their achievements.

"You two don't have a surname, right? How about I bestow you both with my surname, Black? Would you like that?" Albion asked with a smile.

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

The two answered with hesitation.

Albion began to wonder if he had a knack for swindling little girls.

Nevertheless, he shook his head of the thoughts shortly after before nodding, "Good! From now on, you two will be part of my Black family!"

"Now, continue watching. This is the darkness of humanity. Whether it was the past, present, or the future, humans will never stop fighting amongst themselves—even with the threat of foreign invasions."

The two little girls were very young and should not be exposed to such violence from a moral standpoint, but none of that mattered to him—at least, not anymore.

Excessive spoiling only breeds useless people.

He was never some righteous hero. And after getting glimpses of the Dark Emperor's life, he was even less so.

Dark Emperor's memories changed him, but it was a change he willingly allowed and no longer resisted.

Foolishly holding onto past life's values in his current world was not a wise choice.

'If there is one thing I've learned from the Dark Emperor's life. It's that you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain, huh?'

Albion mused.
