Some openly while others came under a disguise—especially the attending government officials who did not want their faces to be known.
In the VIP booth no.2 on the higher floors, Fritz Abestel glanced down at the regular seatings and influx of people on the lower floor.
"Five of the top 10 families suddenly withdrawn from attending, you say? Have you found out why?" Fritz Abestel frowned after hearing the news.
"I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you, Mr. Fritz." Stefano Metti apologized with his head lowered before he said, "But for them to withdraw so abruptly, something more important must have popped up."
"So it seems. But the question is what exactly." Fritz Abestel stated with a deep pondering look.
After a moment, Fritz Abestel shook his head and said, "Never mind. It's unfortunate that the Seymour family and Xiao family pulled out. Nevertheless, the auction must continue as scheduled."
"On another note, that person is inside the VIP booth no.1, isn't he?" Fritz Abestel asked.
"Yes, Mr. Fritz." Stefano Metti nodded and said, "It appears that person is also interested after hearing about the wolf girls. I did a bit of digging for the person's information, but there was little that I could find."
"So have I," Fritz Abestel said before continuing, "However, none of the information was real. They were all forged for the sake of having an identity."
"Not exactly. This person was said to have grown up in Sunflower Orphanage, and upon seeing the two orphans girls from that place, he immediately bought them. Perhaps, there is some truth to his identity," Stefano Metti said.

"That is what I suspect. But everything is just blind guesses at this point. The only thing we can do is make sure not to offend the person until we understood his background," Fritz Abestel stated.
"I guess we can only do that." Stefano Metti nodded.
"Oh, but your Metti Group's debt is an entirely different matter." Fritz Abestel suddenly changed the topic before he said, "Whatever the person bids to pay off your debt, your Metti group will still have to pay back the exact amount to my Abestel family."
After all, the items about to be auctioned belong to the Abestel family, not the Metti group.
